<![CDATA[Habitat for Humanity is desperately in need of helpers for our “Elf Crew” in Arvin, Delano and Bakersfield. The “Elf Crew” is a small group of volunteers who assist Art, our Construction Supervisor, during the week. These are usually retired people who would rather be productive than spend their days sitting on the couch or watching their grass grow. They work with Art on light construction tasks such as setting base boards, hanging doors, painting, etc. Their main task is finishing the things that we didn’t get to on Saturday, and preparing the home for the following Saturday’s volunteers. The “Elf Crew” usually works from 8am to about 1 pm Tuesday through Friday. No one is expected to work every day (there are some who do), but anyone who can give us even a couple of days a month is greatly appreciated. The “Elf Crew” is a great bunch of people who have fun, stay active, learn and make a huge contribution to our mission. Please consider joining us for a day or two to see if the “Elf Crew” is right for you.
