A ballet class will help with coordination, grace, poise, flexibility and confidence.

Dancers are athletes. You may say that you are neither a dancer nor an athlete. No worries, my main goal was to design a program that provides the benefits of ballet in a way that is not intimidating to those who have never danced. This class will not turn you into a professional dancer, but you will reap the benefits that dancers enjoy!

DanceFIT Studio is located at 25 Monmouth Street, Brookline MA (near St. Mary's and Hawes Street on the green line).

Our session began last week, but I am still accepting new participants and will give a pro-rated cost. E-mail for pricing and to reserve your spot: gina@dancefitstudio.com

Please check out our other classes: http://www.dancefitstudio.com/

Advanced beginner/ intermediate (2.5) player looking for someone interested in playing tomorrow during the day. Let me know if you are interested. I'm 30/ male if that matters and can drive a bit to meet. Thanks!
Alright.

Every Tuesday for the last year and a half, people have gotten together at a pub in Mission Hill to do two things: drink and play dominoes. Why dominoes? Because it's not the kiddy game you remember playing with grandma. In Miami (where I'm from), it's a loud, raucous game filled with yelling, obscenities, and trash-talking. It's fueled by alcohol and played by everybody. In other words, it's the complete shit.

Summer's here, and you're not doing anything Tuesday nights. There's no excuse to stay in and watch TV when you could be drinking, learning a game, and meeting a ton of new people. The bar where we play serves over 160 types of beer and is also a pizzeria, featuring obtuse-angled slices (really). All of this is delicious and cheap.

The Mission Hill Domino Authority is the name of the group. It consists of a bunch of twenty-somethings who essentially love to do drink and aren't afaid of meeting new people. In fact, the MHDA has been so successful, even the Boston Globe wrote about it:

http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2007/05/13/to_the_nines/

You interested? Just respond to this post. You'll get the skinny, directions, questions answered, whatever you want. But fair warning: we're looking for some kick-ass people who aren't afraid of being loud. Decorum is nice, but we have little of it. This is more of a beer + James Brown on the jukebox sort of thing.

So come check it out. It's up your alley.

Our Co-ed Softball team is looking to add an experienced female player. We would like to add a female who's had outfield experience especially. Our team plays on Sundays, and we usually play in Watertown, West Roxbury (Hyde Park), Charlestown and sometimes South Boston and Brighton. We are a competitive but very fun group. No one will ever yell or get mad if you mess up, but we also like to win, but no matter what, we usually end up going out for drinks after the game.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to get you on the team, so please e-mail us as soon as you can. Our next game is this Sunday and hopefully we can get you out there.

Hola!

We are looking for a goalkeeper (either guy or girl) for our coed 11 v. 11 soccer team with games on Sundays. More precisely, we are looking for a goalkeeper for our game this Sunday at 10:20 AM out in Sudbury. While we are definitely interested in finding someone who can be there for every game, the immediate concern is this Sunday. Please let me know if you are interested in playing this Sunday or, failing that, being a substitute keeper in the future.
Cheers!

Chess for beginners 30+

Hi, I’m looking for people to play chess with, in the Cambridge area. I’m in my early 40’s, and have been playing chess actively for over a year. I’d say I’m an advanced beginner in terms of my skill level. If you’re over 21, male or female (doesn’t matter to me) and interested in playing chess on a regular basis, then I’d like to hear from you. I’d prefer to find people over 30 to play with, but I’d consider younger players if they’re serious about the game. If your skill level is at the intermediate level or better, be prepared to give me free chess lessons. I don’t mind teaching someone how to play, if you’d like to learn. It’s all about having fun while playing chess, as far as I’m concerned. If this sounds good, send me an email. I’d like to hear from you.
OK.

The Mission Hill Domino Authority is well-established group of beer-loving college graduates, first off. Once a week, we play dominoes - yes, dominoes – in a pub at Brigham Circle. I'll say now that dominoes is not the kiddie/old lady game you might think it is. We play Cuban double-nine, a game laden with expletives and finger-pointing, accusations and threats. This is the way dominoes is meant to be played, the way it goes down in Miami, where I'm from and where this game is hugely popular.

As for us: Most of us are under-30, either kids right out of college or in some form of grad school. Anybody is welcome, really, but we're a pretty young crowd. The crowd has been growing for a year and a half.

As for the bar: 200+ beers and pizza slices so big they form obtuse angles (no exaggeration). Popped collars are not permitted. You can get there on the T.

As for the game: You don't need any experience to play, as learning how to takes all of five minutes. I ask only that you like beer and meeting new people, because really, that's what it’s (mostly) about.

We play once a week, on Tuesdays, and during the summer, games occasionally move outdoors to the rooftops of Boston or people's backyards.

If all this sounds good to you, shoot me an e-mail for further details.
