Our sound is back to basics roots, Americana, Classic Country, Blues, and Rock and Roll. We're looking for a pro quality slide guitar player or lap/pedal steel player. We sing a wide variety of music and have done everything from street performance and featured concerts to fund raisers and weddings. I'm twenty-two, I've been playing guitar for a few years, and I'd like to try to get something together/get in on something. I'm thinking it makes sense to find a bassist and pull some material together before looking for a drummer, and then maybe finding someone for vox if none of us can hack it. More than anything else I'm looking to have a little fun and if something takes off, then cool. I'm by no means looking for a pro, but be able to play more than the intro riff from "Smoke on the Water," if you catch my meaning. I have something of a tight, fairly clean sound in my head right now (a la The National, The XX, The Strokes, Wilco and esp. the song Impossible Germany) so if that fits what you're into, great. If not, that's great too. Let's be flexible about this. Don't be a prima donna, because I won't take you seriously.
