I would like to introduce you to my Parrot, Bird, and Small Animal boarding and sitting service in Framingham.

Parrots and small animals boarded in my care have cages in my living room, and are treated as part of the family. We play together, eat together, watch TV together, and even do the dishes together. After all, your pet is part of your family, so why wouldn’t we all want your pet to get that same love and interaction while on his or her vacation!

I have wonderful cages and great toys for your parrot, but if your FID prefers his own cage, you are welcome to bring it. Some parrots like their humans to pack thier favorite food and bring it along. I do feed a nutritious seed and pellet mix, with fresh fruits and vegetables and a warm dinner. You can either bring your parrots own food, or we will feed them ours.

My rates are $10.00 per calendar day for parakeets & love birds, $14.00 per day for Cockatiels, Senegals, Sun Conures, Parotletts and similar birds, and $16.00 per day for Amazon and African Grey Sized parrots. Larger parrot boarding fees are $16-18 per day. To ensure the health of all birds and their humans under my care, a health certificate or vet record is required. For small animals the price is $10.00 a day.
I have been a Parrot owner for 15 years, and have been boarding parrots for just as long. I am the former Curator, Head care giver, and Behavioral Specialist for Rainforests Cafe’s 9 Parrots, and have extensive knowledge of Parrot Behavioral and Physical Care including first aid and medicine administration. I am the mom to a wonderful Caique parrot who is 12 years old. He loves company and will welcome your parrot’s stay with open wings! I keep the number of parrots I take at any time to a minimum so all pets get lots of individual attention.
If you have an immediate or future need for Parrot, Bird or Small Animal Care, please let me know! I am happy to answer any questions you have, and you are more than welcome to come for an initial visit with or without your pet companion so we can all get to know eachother. References from happy parrots and their owners are also available.

Thanks!
Serving Greater Boston, Metro West, Worcester area, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Beyond!

Tasha needs a new home. I got her from a friend and just dont have the time for her and i have too many cats. She's been in my room her whole time here and not once wanted to leave. I dont know if she just dosent like the other cats or she feels safe in her "room". I've opened the door for her to come out but she just guards the room from the other cats. I think if she was properly introduced she could get along with other cats. I dont know how she does with dogs because mine dont seem interested in her and she is not interested in them. She's beautiful and is a great cat but would not recommend her for kids under 10 because she is skittish and can be grumpy. She's free. She's not fixed. Pick up only.

At the end of April 2009 we adopted out Princess who is a 2 ½ year old female Pit mix. We went thru the standard adoption process with them, having them complete a 6 page application, doing Reference checks and spoke with their Vet who also gave a great reference (he apparently never saw any of the dogs this family went thru over the past year). We did what we always do and call to follow up and see how the new furry friend is fitting into the family and all seemed well. I was determined to stay in closer contact with them because when Princess was at the Shelter she just stole my heart. In late July or so the adopter no longer returned my calls or emails and I wish I had followed my gut and just drove there. Finally on Wednesday Feb 10, 2010 I got a hold of the adopter and much to my surprise I was told that in late September of 09 ( she doesn’t remember the exact date) their daughter walked Princess to Shinetti’s Ice cream on Water St in Plymouth, tied her to a pole while she went into the store and when she came out Princess had slipped out of her collar and was gone. The family told me they looked for her for a day or so and called all local shelters in the area…after speaking with many shelters in the area I found out this was not the case – she never made any calls! She also told me she notified Vets in the area, which I also called and found out this was not the case.

Immediately, I placed Ads on Craigslist and made Fliers (attached) and had a few more conversations with the adopter. Things just did not seem to Ad up and after I did a little footwork on my end I found out she made no reports of her missing. I proceeded to locate contact info for all her neighbors via the towns Assessors page and started making calls. I also visited her neighbors as I was down in Plymouth hanging up the Fliers.

What I found out just breaks my heart and leads me to this…
· Princess was tied to a tree all hours or the day and night, nobody called for fear of the repercussions from the adoptive family (Apparently they are not too stable)
· There were several dogs before Princess who they brought home and also disappeared (Rottie and a smaller dog)
· This information was the same coming from Four difference neighbors!

PLEASE if you should ever see Princess or hear of ANYTHING…PLEASE call me…This dog deserved the best and I will do whatever I can to try and find this baby girl who stole my heart!
5 month old female hybrid looking for loving home.
This adorable, super-loving baby deserves the best - yet she was basically 'dumped' by her uncaring previous owners.
- She needs house training
- comes with breeder certificate
- UTD shots
- not yet spayed.
- rehoming fee to partially cover costs incurred, and ensure commitment
- comes with her crate and other essentials

Pics and more info available upon request.

PLEASE do not flag for removal. Why would you?
I'm guessing last time it was her previous, irresponsible owners. Guys- your karma!!
My teddy bear hamster had babies a few months ago and I decided to keep my favorite, but now I recently got a new job and have realized that I just have too many animals and not enough time for all of them between classes and work. I am very sad to be giving her up, but I just don't have the space, time, or money for her. Shes about 4 months old, friendly, can be picked up perfectly fine, and very adorable. She would not come with a cage or anything, sorry. I would really like her to go to a good, safe home. I hate to part with her so I want to make sure the new home will take good care of her. She cannot be fed to a reptile! Serious inquiries only please.

Don't flag this poster. They are rescuers who are indeed very fussy about who adopts their rescued kitties. But in the end when they do find homes they are seldom returned or let outside or adopted to people who cannot afford vet bills and routine care.
You can see by the care taken with the photos and the writeup that these are caring people and not out to make a buck. I'm happy you went on to adopt other rescued cats but to doubt that these cats are up for adoption is nonsense.

Have a large colony of B. Dubia Roach feeders. Perfect for any insect eating reptile. EASY to breed. Heated container, food and water and your colony will double in months. Theyre healthier for your reptile, and they only need to consume about 1/3 of the amount roaches compared to crickets. The care consists of 3 parts: refill food once a week, refill water once a week, clean container once a month. They breed live young, and it takes a baby about 3-5 months to mature to adult breeding size. And they live for a yr+ Youll never need to buy crickets again if you have your own constant supply of feeders! Email for prices/quantities, garunteed to be cheaper than websites and no shipping! If you can find a website for cheaper, send proof and ill cut the price in half! Email with any questions, and offers will be considered. Any question will be answered, and Ill give you all my tips and hints to make it even easier. Thanks

Hi, I got a suspicious response to an ad I posted for re-homing a dog. the name on the email was mforcina, it came up as Mary. this person sent me a 1 line response to my ad, saying they wanted the dog nothing else. i stated that i needed actual information like who they are and what their situation is. turns out it was a 16 year old boy, on mommies email cruising for a cheap dog, tried to give me a sob story about their old dog being put to sleep, and how he would walk this dog at least 1 time a day and feed it. well wowie!!! I couldn't have hoped for a better home huh? watch out for this, but i guess if you would have taken his response seriously, you don't care either. So my question is, are these the same people before taking the free dogs and selling? the last name began with an A i want to say, but can't remember, and i think they were were in Roxbury or JP or something like that.

I was thinking the SAME thing when I saw the post AGAIN on here! I'm flagging it off from now on. We contacted her too w/great references & never heard back. Obviously going to just let these kittens grow up & maybe then get rid of them when it's harder as adults.

We too, got a lovely kitty. Someone a friend knew was going to take theirs to the shelter, and before they did, we went to meet her. She is just over a year & is wonderful!
We got her all her shots & she is being spayed next week.

I'm glad we saved a kitty from a shelter, and you did too, so GOOD for you & better for the kitty! The poor things she has will just stay behind & miss out. When other youngsters come along, she'll abandon these & go for the others. People like that are all too common. Pets suffer so much b/c of people! SAD!

Free guinea pig and cage. To a good home only
Hi,

I have a huge double decker bird cage that anyone can have for free. Pick up only! I have just moved and at my old house, I still have this fantastic bird cage. I recently rehomed a few birds and don't need this cage. It's about three years old and in great condition. It does need to be clean, and I will do some cleaning initially as well. You will need a large vehicle to transport it, better is truck, but some suvs may fit. It can be taken apart, but it was hard to get together so I don't suggest that. It's green and suitable for all kinds of birds, finches, parakeets, cockatiels, conures, rosellas, and large birds too. I would not recommend it for birds as cuckatoos. African greys would be ok in it or something similar to that size of bird.

I will be measuring the cage tonight, so email me if you would like those - or if you have any other questions. I have to throw it out our next garbage day, which is next Monday night, so it would have to be pick up by then. It would be ashame for it to go to waste.

I have a beautiful male pied cockatiel for adoption. He will come with some food, his cage and his toys and perches. He makes pretty whistles and can say pretty bird. He does understand the step up command , but is not friendly right now. When I first got him, he was very smoochy and I could snuggle with him. Then, I got a female companion for him and he became aggressive. I have since had to seperate the two and cannot have the two seperate cages in my house. I have other animals and the addition of the other cage because he was beating up the female, is too much for me to keep up with. If you would like to see a photo or meet him, please email me. Any questions that I can anwers for you, would be welcomed.

Thank you,
Christine

It seems pretty obvious from the fact that this has been posted multiple times that you really have no intention of rehoming these cats and are doing this to appease the adoption agency. My husband and I responded with references and an excellent home situation and were snubbed, and I assume many others who fell for the cats' adorable pictures and story were snubbed as well. Despite this, it's repost after repost. In the meantime, we found an excellent cat at the MSPCA in JP and adopted her that same day with no trouble whatsoever.

Do these cats a favor and allow them to find a permanent home. Otherwise, just keep them. Don't let them adjust to your home and think that they are there forever while you subject everyone to your abnormally picky standards.

Medium Vari Kennel (18h x 24d x 18 wide) Like new - $60
My 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill rescue group has rescued this black-tabby stripey adult cat from his person who, after years of his INTENSIVE loyalty, rejected him and wanted to have him killed because her mother-in-law said so...Don't ask...People who want to kill their companions are just too freaky. But that's the story we were given, so it was "good-bye, faithful kitty".

And he is one of those kitties born to love you. Although he is portly thanks to the bad diet he was beng fed, he is not one who eats for pleasure; he could take it or leave it, he's got his priorities straight. It's LOVE that makes his world go 'round.

When he walks into a room, he looks around to see where YOU are. If you bend down to pet him, he leaps up on his back paws to meet your hand, throwing all his toso into the air to meet you, and digs his face into your hand to get you to pet him. Lie down on the bed and he does a Sphinx act, planting his front paws firmly on your abdomen and abandoning himself to the business of purring. Plunk him down on your lap and he stands there happily receiving all the pet you can give him. He walk up and down in front of you so your hand can run down his body, and then he looks back to see why you reached the end of him, and he comes back the other way, so you have more of him to pet. Goofiest of all is the little "myurp" running commentary he makes talking you through your loving, "myrerp" as you pet him; at such times he is very talkative and vocal, though he is not otherwise a howler or complainer.

I understand that he used to live amicably with a dog and here in his foster home there are many cats and kittens. He is very mild, gentle, somewhat startled by and shy with them, since he is new to living with other cats. I would recommend him for a home with no other or 1 or 2 other cats; and/or with a dog.

He is shy at first with other cats, but instantly responsive to people, very sweet and friendly and well-disposed in an elaborate, trusting way to anyone who has a petting hand for him. He does not know what has happened to him in his life - two weeks ago he had his home and his people and then all his tender, purr-heavy ministrations to them were horribly rejected. Some people are so ungrateful for the years of your youth, you know? He's about 4 years now, neutered and recently vaccinated, healthy except for some flab I'm working on getting off of him.

He's got a mahogany nose and green eyes he hold wide in constant curiosity as he gets to learn his new smells and surroundings in wonder and a little confusion (I don't think he is a very intelligent cat, but he makes up for it by his sweet, enthusiastic, naively trusting nature).

He'd love to sit by you companionably and share your life; he likes knowing where you are in relation to him! ("Myrurp?")

If you are reading this post, Stripey Kitty is still very much seeking a permanent home and a two-legged friend to take care of him. If you think you might be interested in being his biped, please send him (or me) a message at CauseforPaws [....at....] msn.com, with answers to the following questions: 1. What sort of home and family (both human and non-human) would you be offering him? Please describe a little bit. 2. Where do you live (this is so I could arrange his transportation from the NY Berkshires)? 3. What are your views, pro or con, about declawing? 4. What brands of food would you be likely to feed him? 4. Have you got any sort of reference we could check?

Thank you!

ABOUT THE PHOTOS: 1. Kitty investigates the sniffs and spaces of his new rescue surroundings, very curious and a bit confounded. 2. He doesn't seem yet to know what books are for; he must be new to the pleasures of feline reading and for now he prefers to rub aganst your legs rather than use a stack of books! 3. Kitty gets what may be the first fine sprinklng of leaves he's ever had! 4. It's awfully difficult taking a photo of him; he always wants to be right up with your face, and your hands ought to be for PETTING, not fiddling with dials and buttons on cameras!

Thank you so very much for your interest in Stripey Kitty!

My family and I are looking to get a cat for our home. We would prefer a fairly adult cat (3-5 years) as I feel nobody ever wants adults. We would prefer a male and he should be neutered, vaccinated and free of FIV etc. Two stipulations are that my daughter is only 11 months old so it should be a patient and friendly cat. Also we would prefer a cat that is used to going outside. We live in a fairly quiet, residential area so I think he would be quite safe. My wife and I are used to having cats that go outside so would prefer it this way.

Thank you.

Hi :) I had recently put an ad up for my mom's 2 male doxies, she is losing her home, and cannot find an apartment that would have let her take them. I have already placed one of them with a nice family on the south shore. I decided to try to hold on to the other one, against my better judgement, and out of guilt, trying to keep the dog in the family. After dealing with him and my young kids since then, I have decided fully on finding him a home of his own. I simply cannot justify keeping him, even if he is a total sweet heart. to any of you who had written before, i am sorry for not getting back to everybody. it is a daunting task when you are a busy mommy like me. if you remind me of who you are if you write again for him, i will probably remember you.
IMPORTANT. READ THIS AD CAREFULLY. IF YOU ASK A DUMB QUESTION, I WILL NOT WRITE BACK TO YOU. (dumb question is defined as something I clearly answer in the ad, I hate repeating myself)
A little about the dog; He is chestnut red. he is somewhere between full doxie and mini, we call him an inbetweenie har har har, ok moving on... he is good with cats, who are not scary and aggressive, and same with dogs but he seems a bit scared of bigger dogs. he is a pain in the butt and only likes wet food, he will come with his leash and harness. '
he is about 1 or 1 1/2 years old. he had his first round of puppy shots as far as we were told.( i wouldn't bank on that being true, and i don't have any paperwork to back that up) He is NOT fixed. He is pretty good about going outside. as long as you walk him at least 3x a day he doesn't have accidents. I keep a pad on the kitchen floor just in case, but since he has come here, he has only used it 2 or 3 times. This dog is very sweet and cuddly, but has a big fear of large men. He is scared of my husband, but is slowly warming up to him with the help of treats and belly rubs. he is not a bitey dog, but he has snipped a few times at my 2 year old, which i totally understand, because he was buggin him pretty bad. I want him to go to a home with NO small kids. don't care if they are well behaved or whatever, no. I don't want the dog or a kid to get hurt, I am constantly safe guarding this dog against accidental kid squishage, and it is exhausting. He is crazy co-dependant. he follows me everywhere, i can't even use the bathroom without him following me. he sleeps with us, and comes out with us. he is totally gaga for women, especially heavy set women (don't ask, i don't know why, maybe he thinks we have more treats lol). he must be with someone who will be home most of the time until he can be properly crate trained. I have no way of knowing for sure, but i am willing to wager he would bark and cry if left alone, I can't have that going on i live in an apartment.
So..... if you are looking for a cuddly, needy, cute doxie, who will be a loyal friend, then fred may be for you. I am asking for 50 dollars as a re-homing fee. It is low because he has not been fixed etc. I won't give him to you for free, so do not ask, I don't care if you are on SSI or whatever, so please don't bother. also, and this is important, so I will say it again, read this ad carefully. if you write to me asking dumb questions that I have already answered in the body of this ad, i will not write back to you. I won't waste my time on people who can't read.
I will have pics hopefully later tonight, (after 9 pm) if you want to meet him in person, we can arrainge for it.

Hi there!

My name's Goliath. I'm between 2-4 yrs old. I was living oputside in Everett with some feral and stray cats when Kitty Connection came trapping. They trapped us all and got us to the vet for check-ups and to be spayed and neutered. I tested positive for FIV. Cats with FIV can live long happy live too. Now I' being fostered in Malden with cats that don't have FIV. The main way that FIV is transmitted from cat to cat is through deep bite wounds. Seeing that I get along well with cats, there isn't an issue. FIV+ cats can live long healthy lives with regular medical care and good quality food.

On of my favorite things to do is to sit in the window and watch the cars and people go by. I went from Living outside to having the best seat in the house. I would love to find a home with a feline friend thats as mellow as I am, maybe even older kids.

If you are interested in meeting me, please email my foster mom at yoca820 @hotmail.com. Kitty Connection offers rescue priced vetting for anyone that adopts an FIV+ kitty. I'll be at Pet Supplies Plus this thursday 3/11 from 6:30-8:00pm. Come by and see me!

Classes will be twice a week and last for 8 weeks. Each class is an hour long or sometimes slightly longer. All lessons will be outdoors, weather permitting. Classes will be taught in Revere and location TBA later. Dogs between the ages of 4 months to 6 years of age are welcome. This Group Lesson is not informational I will be handling each dog and owner. This Group is not intended for a dog who may be timid and shy and/or (dog/people) aggressive. Nice of you to be so judgemental. I'm sorry but my cat is eleven years old and has enjoyed being an outdoor cat her whole life. What kind of a life is it for a cat to be locked in a small house its whole life??

Do you eat only nutritious foods? Do you drink only water? How many times have I heard people say, "You gotta live a little!" while they're eating fried clams and downing a beer. How would you like to live in a sterile environment because it's healthy and will assure you a long, if painfully boring, life? How would you like to live on Tofu and wheat germ? You don't choose that for yourself and you judge someone for letting their cat run free?

I know my cat would rather live a fullfilling life outside and die by a car, just the way most people would rather live life "well" and die of a heart attack, than to be forced to pine for real life looking out a window, or, in the case of us, live a long life of tofu just so we won't die at 60 instead of 100.
I am looking for a home for my two female chinchillas, ages 1.5 and 2.5. They are really sweet girls who loves their treats!! They are a little shy about coming out of the cage, but with more handling I think they would be fine. I can't take them out very often because I am afraid my other pets might hurt them. They absolutely love to come out, but I don't have a safe secure area to let them do that. I am looking for someone that has more time for them, has had chinchillas or researched them, and who promises to take good care of them. I am not looking for a re-homing fee and they will come with a huge cage (it is about six feet tall and three feet wide and must go with them-they love it!) and all the toys, treats, pellets and hay that I have. I am in no hurry to place them, I really want to make sure they go to a good home. You must be able to pick them up and you will need a pretty big van/suv or truck to do so. I can email back pictures to anyone interested. Thanks!

We have a sweet husky mix for adoption. She really has a beautifull husky face and looks mostly husky. She is about 3-5 years old, very sweet and playfull. (We were told she is 3, but our vet thinks she's about 5) We adopted her from an out of state rescue and was told she gets along fine with other dogs, but have discovered that she is actually dog aggressive, so we cannot keep her. She is the quiet kind of aggressive, not a barker at all. But will growl at new dogs, and has gone after one of our other dogs. So she needs to be the only dog in the family. She is very sweet and obedient with humans. She arrived from Texas in very poor shape. She was filthy and matted. On only her second day with us, she spent 3+ hours at the dog wash, and did really great. She has also been professionly groomed. And all the groomers were very impressed. She will sit on command, walks great on a leash, and has really enjoyed the walks we take her on in the woods around our house. She is also housebroken. She is spayed. All shots are updated. We have taken her to our vet where she was diagnosed with a urine infection, so she is on antibiotics for that. We paid $300 to adopt her, and another $300 in vet and grooming. All records will be included. She is also microchipped, and we have not registered her yet, so we still have the original paperwork. She has the kennel she came in, her bedding, the rest of her food, new collars and leash. We are hoping to recover $300 or best offer. Please let us know if you are interested in meeting her or have any other questions. Thanks
many unfortunate things have happened to me lately, and had to move into a place that dosent allow pets. i don't want to get rid of my cat, so i am looking for a temporary home for the cat until i can move back out. (guessing around 3-6 months) hopefully looking for someone who already has a cat and can just take on mine as well for the time being for free.

well his name is henry, he is almost 1 years old, male, flat-faced persian. he is solid white, so his leaky eyes do show up more against his fur. i usually wipe his eyes daily with a wet cloth. he has 2 differetn colored eyes too! he is the SWEETEST cat you will meet. loves to be pet and paid attention to. always has to be near people or on you. purrs like crazy. gets along with other cats and dogs, just takes a bit to get used to. he loves toys, and chases lazers. never bit, scratched or harmed anyone. he is a total love bug.

if you think you can help, PLEASE email me. i am looking to place him soon.
he is the white cat in the pics below. (the pic with his eyes open is when his face was just cleaned from the leaky eyes, he will almost never look that good again. it is jus the flat faced persian breed that has the leaky eyes, it can't be prevented, but it can be cleaned.)
