<![CDATA[We are seeking a Sr. Windows Systems Administrator to be located in our Burlington, Massachusetts office. The successful candidate will report to the VP of Network Operations. As the Sr. Sys Admin you will be responsible for the hands on management, architecture and implementation of the windows infrastructure, in a large scale data center environment that provides hosting services to external customers. Additionally you will have manager responsibilities of 3-5 staff members. Responsibilities: • Monitor windows environment for anomalies and errors, reporting and escalation of issues. • Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and management of the platforms. • Provide Level III support and repair. • Manage enterprise applications responsible for server builds, patch management, virtual machine management, virus scanning, etc. • Develop and maintain high standards in establishing procedures and policies to address routine jobs and certain resolution protocols. • Meet or exceed SLA obligations consistently and on an ongoing basis, allow for accurate metrics to measure response time, meet BCP requirements for offsite access, and reduce the time needed to address hardware/software failures. • Managing a team of 3-5 staff members • Participate in on-call rotation • Visiting both Data Centers when required Requirements: • 8+ years of managing a Windows Server environment (Windows 2003 Server required) (2008 is a plus). • Experience administering a Large Windows Server environment. • Strong MS IIS (Internet Information Services) skills required • Architecture design and management. • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. • Strong Active Directory skills required, preferably with experience managing complex, multi-domain forests and trusts. • Hands on management of an Active Directory infrastructure and the ability to design and build an Active Directory infrastructure. • Microsoft Clustering skills are required, particularly SQL Server. • Server management experience desired, especially with an emphasis on Dell Servers. • Extensive experience with Microsoft Clustering. • Experience with other fault tolerance systems, e.g. network load balancing (not just MS) desirable. • Proficiency in DNS, DHCP and other standard network and naming services. • Server management with an emphasis on Dell Servers. • In-depth knowledge of disk management with SAN, NAS and local storage with an emphasis on disk layout and performance. • Strong systems engineering skills with an emphasis on enterprise scale architecture. • Experience working with combined Windows / Unix environments helpful. • In-depth knowledge of Hyper-V and Parallels Virtuozzo is a plus. ]]>
