<![CDATA[On June 26th I will doing an overnight walk in Boston called the "Out of the Darkness Overnight." This is an 18-mile journey from dusk until dawn. The purpose is to bring awareness to the issues of suicide and depression and create hope for all those who have been affected by these issues. I'm walking in honor of my uncle, who died in 2008 as the result of suicide. Needless to say his death was heartbreaking for me and my family. I also have personally struggled with bipolar disorder. I've been through some difficult times but know there's hope and I want others to know there is as well. If anyone is able and willing to make a donation to this cause I would greatly appreciate it. They have managed to lay off, fire, and or drive out, the majority of their Toyota Master Certified Technicians,and replaced them with warm bodies, that are very likely well qualified to flip hamburgers and supersize soft drink orders. They are surely saving thousands of $ dollars, but who is picking up the tab?? I would guess it will be their customers who likely pay nearly $100 per hour for qualified repair and diagnostic specialists. And what about the labor union that is charging the workers dues ? ( Brodie forces you to join this union, if you want a job as a mechanic ) Why should the care, as long as any warm blooded mammal is paying weekly dues,they are apparently happy with the situation. What can be said about a labor union situation where the Company is allowed by the Labor union to pick and choose the shop stewarts for each shop?? ( sound corrupt?? ) I think so, but that's just one persons opinion! At any rate, after you are told that your lift truck is all fixed, it may be a good idea to have the janitor check it out, as it is possible that he knows just as much about it,. as your local Toyota repair Tech. If you are lucky enough to have their mechanic working at your facility,be sure the fire extinguisher is full.,..the company nurse is available for emergencies,..and your insurance policy is paid to date!
