It was raining sideways tonight and I was infuriated about this, so I turned around and pulled into the driveway to see if anyone was home to let the dog in the house. Well, the man comes out and informs me that "supposedly" a rather large man driving a purplish colored suv let her out of the car. She has a collar on that was too tight, and about a 8-12 foot chain attached to it. The man put her in the barn for now, but was going to let her go. She looks to be an Australian Shep. or a mix maybe. She had a lot of long black hair, especially on her back, and crystal blue eyes. She has had a litter of puppies- you can tell. <![CDATA[Last Thursday (17th July) at the ramp (exit 11) on to I-77 North from 277 at 7pm there was a shepherd mix (maybe mix with a huskey?) running on I-77. Male aprox 1 to 2 years old. He had a black harness on and a flea collar but no tag or chip. He was obviously loved and cared for but had had chewed through his harness leash and escaped. I'm VERY worried that someone will take him in and not want to give him back because of his looks. But, he has medication that needs to be taken every day and respiratory issues. The dog also has some sort of skin condition, possible Mange and half the fur is missing off the rear and tail. The dog is medium sized, all black with long hair. I am not sure of the sex. A lot of shelters can not take an animal and so people keep trying places until they can get help. Also people find animals and pick them up and take to the closest shelter to where they live which may be another county.]]>

<![CDATA[This dog just showed up here this week. He is such a sweetie! He is kind of fat, seems to be older, might be a little hard of hearing. He has been neutered and appears to be in good health other than needing to lose some weight (just like me)! He loves to walk in the woods with me, take walks in the neighborhood, or lay around on the concrete entryway. During storms, he gets a little frightened and likes to lay inside the garage. He does not mind children at all and is extremely easy-going and gentle. He seems very fundamentally opposed to taking a bath. He showed up with quite a bit of winter coat still on, but we have been working on brushing that out. He is absolutely fabulous. We also ate at the Carolina Steak House nearby, and then returned to the airport. The camera is a digital Cannon Powershot SD1000 that is pretty new. It is silver with black on the lens, and some black trim. It was in a grey form fitting case that went right around the edge of the camera. He should be somewhere in the Sharon Amity, Independence, and Monroe Road area. He goes by Peter and is very sweet.
