<![CDATA[Okay so I disagree. When my Pit Bull was younger she was FIRST diagnosed with Parvo. She was treated for Parvo and was on IV for a week. We got to take her home and she was still not doing to good,but the Vet said there was really nothing else they could do for her. It was now up to her. I took her to another Vet and they said that she had all the signs for Distemper so they treated her for that. SHE is NOW over a year old and is ALIVE and DOING GREAT. She runs and plays all the time. Her head is a little off balance if she jumps on the bed she at times crashes into the wall and in the summer when it was real hot I would allow my dogs in the pool and she did not want to come in so my fiance put her in and she did not know how to swim she actually could have drowned so we learned that lesson QUICKLY. My one dog is a playful dog,but she does get serious at times and our Pit does not know how to fight back. She will go to bite one way and meant it for another way. She eats and like I said runs a lot. If her head was the way it is suppose to be she would be like she never had anything ever wrong with her. Distemper and Parvo are not the same thing,but they have almost the same symptoms and THEY BOTH CAN BE TREATED if not then my dog would be dead. ]]>

Her beak and feet have a lot of growing left to do. Ive trimmed both their wings but youll have to keep them trimmed if you dont want them to fly around. Otherwise, just let the feathers grow back out. Its easy to do either way. Scarecrow is slightly older, but still very young. He is very pretty and looks like a little seagull. He has pretty eyes and nice markings. He'll sit next to you and watch you do your activities. Its very cute. They have the typical glossy green and purple neck feathers which will become more colorful with maturity. I let them sit in the shower with me from time to time so they can clean themselves and bond with me. They are calm around my room mate and myself, but are a little skittish with strangers at first. Like all pets, they adjust and accept people after they decide they are trustworthy. :) I am rehoming my animals to prepare for basic training and my military career. For an additional fee dogs can be tested for heartworms ($15) and cats for leukemia/AIDS ($25). All dogs and cats must be at least four months old for surgery. There is a waiting list, especially for large breed dogs, so even if yours is just a puppy, go ahead and submit the application. <![CDATA[Petula is a beautiful Red-Nosed Pit Bull, approximately a year old, who was abandoned at an apartment complex, underweight and mal-nourished. She has since filled out, has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for heartworm (negative) and micro-chipped. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, however, because she was starved Petula has a tendency to be food-aggressive towards other dogs. This is easily remedied by either feeding her in her crate or separately from the other dogs and then taking up the food bowls once mealtime is done so there is no "territory" to protect. Petula was adopted in August, but her new owner decided to return her. I think this adoption 'failed' not because Petula was a bad dog, but the adopting party failed to follow my instructions, thereby setting setting her up for failure. In that regard, the ideal situation for Petula would be with a family that has another dog her size with whom she can wrestle and play. Furthermore, since she is still young and VERY energetic, she would do better in a home where there are no small children - only because they might get tail-whacked or knocked down in her excitement. If you're interested in adopting this girl and providing her with a forever home, I welcome your inquiry, however, be advised that there is an application process, home visit and I will contact your present veterinarian to weed out flakes and idiots. Most people who are serious about making the emotional/financial investment of pet ownership will not be put off by my concern and would be surprised if I didn't take the time to ensure a good future for Petula. If, on the other hand, you are offended by the interview process then you are probably not the kind of home I'd find acceptable anyway. I have raised this dog from a pup, never shown any aggression. He is mainly an outside dog, comes in on occasion, during bad weather and is crated-does fine in the crate. He must go to a good home, approved by me. He is not nuetured and is due for his shots this month, rabies is good for another year. He is on heartworm preventative, and flea and tick preventative. He loves to sit in your lap when you watch TV and is used to being out of his cage and hoping around the house. Since he was little he's been raised around cats and dogs so doesn't mind other indoor animals as long as their friendly. He isn't completely litter trained but doesn't have accidents often if monitored. He would do great in a home with children. He's never bitten anyone but if his nails are left unchecked he may accidentally scratch you. He also LOVES cheerios. Please consider making this little guy a part of your family. We're asking $50 for him to get back what we paid & to ensure he goes to a secure home. But can be negotiated for the right family. The picture has 4 cats shown. These cats are larger than they appear on this photo. I need homes for the 2 black & white cats. The biggest cat is called "Mooie" and is appx. 7 1/2 years old. He has been fixed yet has all his claws. He eats 2 cans of 9 Lives a day as it is. If he gets hungry enough, he does also eat the dry cat food. His colors are white and charcoal. The other white cat is "Precious" and appx. 4 years old, black & white. He eats dry food yet looks for his "pounce" treats first thing in the morning. He has been fixed & front feet declawed.
