Possibly use French movie scripts,plays or "French in Action" textbook with dialog. Repeatedly practice speaking the dialog and then view the VHS or DVD of that series to clarify comprehension. Track workout begins at 6:00 p.m. @ the Wheaton College track. Intervals - 400s, 800s, etc., all geared for faster racing. Last week, we did three sets of three 400s, at slightly below 5K pace, with a 200 m recovery. Join us this week. Who should come: Anyone is welcome to come join us for a run Why: Running & Beer - need I say more? Meeting Description: Agenda is simple - we'll head out around 6:30PM from Schoolyard for fun run through the city finishing up back at the Tavern to 'cool down'. Schoolyard will allow us to leave bags behind with personal items to change into afterwards (e.g., change of shirt). The group that met on Monday night was interested in running to the lake and back to start (3 miles), but depending on who shows up, we can break into a few groups depending on your distance goals. As the group grows, this will sort itself out. This is a fun group, looking to meet other Chicagoans, have a few beers, and get a little running in as well. Whether your goal is to simply recreational run, train for a 5K, 10K, Half or Full Marathon - come join us during the week for some exercise and beverages.
