Approx. 1 month ago my laptop was stolen from my neighbor (Lori's) home by Rueben "Lee" Torres he goes by the name of "Lee". He broke into her home when she was not there and stole it out of her bedroom. The only reason we know this is because the police told us that "Lee" made a phonecall from the Plaid Pantry down the street to one of his buddies asking to pick him up because he had a laptop and did not want to carry it on his skateboard. Then Rueben sold my laptop to an African American man named Larry Cooper, who drives a truck for a trucking company and was passing through Portland. Mr. Cooper called me early this morning because he saw my ad on Portland Craigslist for my stolen laptop and he claimed that he had it. The only reason I know he does is because he asked why I had a password on it. Larry Cooper wanted me to send him $300 via western union to get it back he said his sisters name is Linda. I was unsure of what to do, told him I would call him back and panicked. I didn't have the money. He called me back and swore at me because I didnt have the money to send. He said that hes keeping it and nothing else. The laptop that was stolen from me last month was a Dell Inspiron 6000. It is Silver in color with a dual boot Windows XP/Ubuntu. It is a unique machine. The service tag# is GD0CB71. It has been reported stolen to the portland police and dell. I tried to contact the Chicago police dept and they are horrible just like Portland Police. If you see a Dell Inspiron 6000 for sale please let me know. I know this is a long short but I really need this item. Hence me trying to contact people in Chicago. <![CDATA[UPDATE: I was told someone leaves food out for stray cats on Winthrop in between Grandville and Glenlake on the west side of the street. Strays often gather here so my little lucas may have found his way to this are. UPDATE: may have been seen at the corner of glenlake and kenmore, near where i used to live. Either his has migrated south west or is still in my neighborhood. Thanks for all the help everyone Update: I did see the gray and white cat but it was not lucas. He has a much more bushy large tail. This cat had a thin tail. Lucas has fur like a domestic short hair cat with a bushy tail that a medium hair cat would have. Thanks for all the calls even after a few months. I really appreciate all the help and would love to have him home again. UPDATE: i received a call from a woman today north west of where i used to live near clark and grandville. she thinks she may have seen him near the two churches. There was a fire on friday the 22nd at the corner of Glenlake and Kenmore in Edgewater. Lucas was last seen was running up the stairs in the apt. building away from my apartment. I suspect I lost them around 1:00 this afternoon, on the Orange Line heading towards the Loop. Second guess would be the Brown Line, which I took to Belmont. Any place after that is a complete guess to me; it seems those are the only logical places they could have been dropped before I'd really notice it. There were about six keys on the chain, a black, faded mock carabiner, two micro Cruzer flash drives, an Insane Clown Posse keychain, and a beaded bracelet with stars on it. There's also a small, red flashlight attached. I don't much care for the flash drives (I used them for ITG data; if you know what that is, you know how important they are otherwise), if you're the type to keep those things for yourself. Nash was lost in Mundelein on July 14th after a move to Illinois from Colorado. I do believe (and somewhat hope) that someone has found him and kept him. I love this cat dearly, as I got him when he was 6-weeks old. Nash has a little white on his chin, and light apricot fur on his underbelly. He was not declawed when he got lost, nor was he chipped. He is a great cat, and I have agonized over his welfare since he disappeared from my life.
