As long as she is let out she does not have accidents. She is crated during the day but not at night. She is UTD on her puppy shots, had a dewromer and flea treatment (Frontline). So we are rehoming Rammy, our 1.5 year old Yorkie. Rammy is very well behaved, 100% crate & house trained, rarely barks, is very laid back, and loves to lay on your lap and snuggle. We are having a hard time finding a home for him because everyone would rather pay $700 for a puppy that they have to train, than pay a small fee and adopt a dog who is already well trained and needs a new home. I currently have a 5 lb poodle who has become invaluable to me because she can sense some change in my chemistry and reacts to it. I can then take medication that will stop me from getting sick.- This is especially important when I am driving or out by myself. I ride motorcycles with my husband and we travel around a lot (better on gas)- my little dog rides in a pouch on my chest wearing a bandanna on her ears and goggles to protect her eyes.She goes everywhere with me including the grocery and restaurants and is the most spoiled thing. She is at the point now where her eyesight is going and she is startled by any small thing, like leaves flying near her, so I have decided that for her it would be better to retire her and let her live her life in the comfort of home. That is where my problem lies, I need a young, under 1yr tiny dog that I can train to take her place. Actually , I want to let my current dog train her replacement before I retire her, so it is imperative that I find a pup soon. The dog would need to be under 1 yr or close to a year so it can still be trained, under 7 lbs, I don't care about breed or sex, with a good disposition-- I'll even consider handicapped or runt pups--we can help each other that way. <![CDATA[i've been battling fleas for the last 6 weeks or so and am about out of my mind! We treated our black lab with a frontline type of treatment purchased at TSC, but it wasn't the name brand. It worked all summer, till about August or so. My neighbors had a Rott who was infested and he came over to visit and our troubles began. We've dipped her and only find a few fleas in the water when we're done, and we've never seen them jumping around in the house. I think she's just picking them up outside (she's only out to potty, she's an indoor dog) and they aren't biting her, I've found no marks on her. We dipped her two weeks ago and I check her daily, and last night found one on her. What should I do? Is it too late in the year to treat the yard? How expensive are the treatments for the lawn? I also have to be careful cause I have young children, including a baby who is constantly crawling everywhere. But I can't keep finding fleas!!!! <![CDATA[Sadie is a black lab and golden mix. She was born on April 12, 2008. She is all black. She has a wonderful temperament. I unfortunately got in over my head. I know a lot of people get reamed on here for unloading animals that they don’t want anymore. That truly is not the case. We really wanted her; we even spent a couple grand putting up a fence so that she could run around freely in our large yard. But with having 3 children 6 and under, I have come to the realization that we are not providing Sadie with the best possible home. We simply do not have availability to give her the exercise, training and guidance that she truly needs. It breaks mine and my family’s heart to give her away. But her well being is more important. Sadie needs a family with the time to devote to her. She needs lots of exercise. She has been on a leash a couple times and will do quite well with more practice. She already knows the "sit" command. She is crated at night and spends a good deal of time outdoors during the day. She does well around our children, but because she is a large dog, she just gets too excited and may knock them down at times. We also have a Bichon, and they get along quite well. A fenced in yard is a must. I will not rehome her to someone that plans on hooking her on a chain all day. I think a family that has experience with larger dogs would be appropriate for her. Or an outdoor-sy type family that could take her to lakes and camping or possibly hunting. She’s a beautiful dog with a great temperament. Shes very timid at first but she came around to us within the week. Socks just needs a quiet home with dogs that will show her respect. Socks has had a hard life and she deserves the best. This is the most playful dog i've ever seen! She is so full of personality here but I will admit after three and a half months of her living here she has attached herself to us drastically. Her daughter was adopted by wonderful people and Socks has yet to find a good home and thats solidly because of her age. I've had her spayed and wormed. $50 rehoming fee to excellent home. They will be wormed and deflead prior to adoption. All are very social. Since being here they've been around three other cats, guinea pigs, dogs ranging from 2 lbs to 65 lbs, and goats. They love everything and they won't hessitate to jump onto a warm lap. We want good INDOOR homes for the babies with small privilages or none to the outdoors. <![CDATA[I was driving along I-71 North and was about 7-10 miles North of the OH 61 exit on 10/5/08 when I saw these two little lost pups roaming around near the highway. I picked them up and brought them home to Columbus for food and water. They hadn't eaten anything dog food-like in at least 2-3 days. They had likely been roaming around in the corn fields along the interstate, but its unlikely they ever crossed (so they're probably from areas East of I-71, Marengo, Fargo, Bloomfield areas). If you've lost two pups in this area, contact me. I'm happy to return them to a loving home that misses them. I would need proof of ownership, such as a family photo showing the dogs. They are 2 female, probably Aussie mixes. Maybe 6 months to a year old. Litter mates most likely judging from their temperament. Can't tell if they're spayed or not. No collars or tags were found on the dogs. Shown are a few pics of the dogs I took. 1st dog: Mostly black and white. Midsection is spotted black/white. Some tan spots on feet and eyebrows. 2nd dog: Mostly white with black spots. One lg black spot on the midsection, with smaller "spatter" spots all over. Both dogs are probably 20-30 lbs in size. Perhaps a little underweight from living off of the land for a few days. Very loving, eager to please, but they are quite shy and fearful at the moment, perhaps because of their new surroundings. He loves to roam the house and lay with you. he does well being held to whom he knows but still working on letting him be held with other people he LOVES dogs he loves to cuddle and play with our 50lbs labradoodle. He is potty trained but when he runs loose he poops but doesnt pee...seems to how it goes with some bunnys hehe. The mother was a stray and we have taken in so many other strays within the years so cannot have anymore cats/kittens.
