| Hello there!

I am writing to tell everyone about a really unique way to support a local Buckeye, as well as support conservation of our planet's marine life :) My name is Shannon, and I am a Junior at OSU that recently received a month long internship to the Bahamas to study at the Bimini Biological Field Station. The "Sharklab", as people refer to it, is a nationally known facility owned and operated by Dr. Samuel Gruber and is affiliated with the University of Miami. Visitors to the Sharklab have included Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs, as well as the Mythbusters from the Discovery Channel.

As you can tell, this will be a really unique opportunity, as well as a great opportunity for hands-on experience. I feel that are oceans are a completely different world that we have yet to understand, and must be protected. I have wanted to do this since a child, and am ecstatic, however the cost incurred by this trip has been hard to raise. I am still short around $500. I am hoping to gain support from local Buckeyes and Conservationists to help make this possible. In return I will make this trip one the Sharklab will never forget, and hopefully leave a good impression of the Buckeyes behind.

For more information, you can either e-mail me back via this ad, or check out my website at: http://scubashannon.tripod dot com . For more on the Sharklab, google BBFS!

Thanks so much!

Then I have another boy which is 8 that I get every other weekend and twice during the week. There is another child that may be mine living in Ky who is 10 that I have not seen since he was 6 months old.He belives that another man is his father that he sees and also has a step dad.At this time the State of Ohio has a pending F5 on me for non support, which has made me loose my job,all because I wasn't paying the full support on. I have tried for the last 2 years to get my case lower and they wouldn't help be with her address. They wouldn't let me file because of that information, but they had it! Not only this but I also couldn't file for vistion either. How is this fair that the State of Ohio is going to take me away from my family the 3 kids that I do see all because one don't even know I am alive.I need help to fight this because not only is the Ohio of Ohio going to ruin my life but this does affect my family as well if I'm locked up no one gets money, then how will I get a job with a feloney.Take me away from the family that counts on me.Not that I am not for child support but this isn't right support should also be vistion if you don't see the child why should I pay. It's the mother's call for him not knowing me,not mine!Because of this I'm going to lose everything, when the systeam is wrong. This isn't about my child it is about the money, she told me in court that he would NEVER know me or his other family that all she wanted was my money!I want signatues on who believes I'm right I need 10,000 in order to have a vote.Do you feel that it is right?Child support should also be vistion,No Support if you don't see the child! | 20% to 50% OFF or

The movie Wall-E was a sentimental film made for children. It took me back to a more innocent (yet still complex) time where all you wanted to do was be close to the one you loved. Back when you had to work HARD for just a kiss. (In this case, Wall-E put in overtime.)

I applaud Disney for making this film. I didn’t see any adult themes. But the film does make some commentary on laziness.
When’s the last time your visit to a big box store was a good time? I’m not saying don’t visit the big box stores, but it’s a chore instead of an experience.

Did you ever wonder why you always spend more there than you want? They’re setup to help you spend more every time. These are big corporations with big dollars. They understand your shopping patterns better than you do.

Then there’s the small ‘no box’ store. What’s that you say?

It’s a place where you see neighbors in a leisurely light. The experience is calmer. The air is fresher and so is the food. The ingredients are real, not artificial. You actually know where the food comes from and it’s basically your back yard … in a metro area kinda way. What are we talking about? Farmers’ markets.

Farmers’ markets may be small at times, but you gotta start somewhere. They may take time to get used to. Take the time to stroll the first time. Make sure you visit a second and third time. You’ll start to understand the experience of shopping instead of the chore of shopping.

If you see something that you typically buy from the big box, try spending that little extra and purchase it from the farmers’ market. Celebrate that it’s not a tax. It’s a voluntary investment into your local economy. The more we put in the pot, the bigger it gets. Every little bit helps improve our nation. That goes for any local business, but farmers’ markets are the core, the foundation of life … it’s food and good food.

Help our area grow stronger by visiting local farmers’ markets. These jobs stay here in the USA and help improve our local economy. Best of all, you get the freshest and tastiest ‘straight from the earth’ food you’ll ever find.

I’m in the process of recruiting interested players to play on an Australian Rules Football team out of Columbus. If you’re not immediately familiar with the sport, I’d suggest checking out some youtube.com videos .

It's a good combo of football, soccer and rugby with some interesting rules that make for exciting play. I picked it up very quickly, and if you're ok with some contact, want to tackle a bit and can learn to punt a ball - you're golden. This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for a team that will represent Columbus and compete on a National scale, but at the same time know that there is a social aspect to the sport (similar to Rugby) where teammates sometimes grab beers after practice, and host a social outing for the visiting away team when they stay in town Saturday night after games.

There is a competitive National League across the country, with a Mid-America League where we play Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, Nashville, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and others.

Teams are usually called some pretty weird names – so we’ll be choosing a team name, mascot, logo, colors, jerseys, etc… and you can be as big or small a part of that process as you’d want to be

Anyway, let me know your interest level, as I'm recruiting my Columbus Squad. We currently have ~ 15 players, but will need ~ 10 more, as full-sided games are 18 vs. 18 on the field. Please forward this to anyone you know who might be interested as well.

Additionally, I’m looking for Australian’s in Columbus. They’re more passionate about the sport of their homeland and know it better and could be an invaluable source of support, instruction and participation in a Columbus Club.

Please Contact me if you’re interested or forward this to those that might be open to this chance.

Cheers,

Columbus, OH- Columbus-Based Szabo Media officially announced the impending launch of Central Ohio’s only local free publication to feature only the writing and artistic talents of Central Ohioans, This & That Contemporary Newsletter. Scheduled for a first week of August drop date, This & That is intended to promote and spotlight area artists, businesses, groups and organizations and events while providing a new free entertainment medium to the community.

Szabo Media’s founder JT Szabo describes This & That as a “hybrid” between a traditional magazine and a newsletter. For it’s launch, This & That’s four-pages of full color, glossy print includes space for aspiring community writers, poets and critics, as well as local groups and organizations promoting their upcoming events. Most notably absent from the publication is news, with the publication focusing solely on being what Szabo calls “a public access station for print artists and writers” referring to similarities with public TV. Szabo has even begun a budding relationship with Experience Columbus, who’s various event listings can already be found on This & That’s website,www.THISandTHATcolumbus.com and will be featured in print.

Szabo noted “that the loss of C-Bus Magazine a few months ago has left a serious void in the Columbus writing scene, and that This & That can fill this void”. With community support, This & That can bring the Central Ohio public a valuable free entertainment and art source, while offering our business and group partners an opportunity for promotion not seen elsewhere in this market.

With a new publication, essentially starting from scratch, This & That has enlisted the help of Columbus based print distributor DeliverEZE, INK, who previously provided distribution for C-Bus Magazine and currently delivers several Dispatch and other local media publications. “Partnering with DeliverEZE, INK is a big part of brining the best in local writers and their original short stories, poems, articles and critiques to the most readers in the area. Robb (Burris, who owns DeliverEZE, INK) has dealt with C-Bus Magazine, and the Dispatch, and his expertise will help This & That establish itself as a leader in the writing community, as well as being a staple for readers throughout Central Ohio”.

While being a free service for the community, This & That will rely solely on support from local businesses in the form of low-cost print advertising. Szabo added “This & That’s business model has the publication offering our business partners the best value at a rate that is almost unheard of for a full color, glossy publication”. As a twice-monthly publication, This & That offers something that no other print publication does in Columbus: two issues for one low monthly rate of about $150 (or about $75 per issue). And it is this unique appeal and value that Szabo believes is the selling point for This & That.

As time continues to tick its way towards This & That’s planned launch date of August 5th, Szabo remains busy putting together writers, groups and advertisers in his small office just north of the OSU campus. “It’s a challenge for sure, but it’s something that the community will enjoy and rely on”.

About Szabo Media:
Founded in 2005 by current Ohio State Undergrad JT Szabo, 22, Szabo Media has been in development of This & That Contemporary Newsletter, as well as a next-generation on-demand Internet broadcast network. Szabo’s experience includes 8 years of television, radio, web and print experience as well as nearly a decade of sports broadcasting, most recently working as radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Dayton Bombers ECHL professional hockey team last season. Szabo intends on merging his experience with public television with his passion for community service to offer local writers and groups a forum for their passions (inspiration for This & That).

The law, as the email states, goes into effect on July 1st. Drivers are no longer allowed to use their cell phones while driving. Driver over the age of 18 are, however, allowed to use hands-free devices. Drivers caught using their cell phones are subject to ticketing, without a warning. Here's the problem, the email isn't real! It's actually a law that goes into effect in California and the email is copied word for word from the CA DMV website, (http://www.dmv.ca.gov/cellularphonelaws/index.htm).

Honestly, I wish Ohio was getting this new law, too...because you people drive like crap!

California also had a law that went into effect earlier this year banning smoking in vehicles containing children under the age of 18. We need this, too. Too many 4 year olds are dying from second hand smoke inhalation.
