Hi there - I never quite know how to write these things - I'm looking for a band that wants to play music something in the style of Muse, but not necessarily like that at all. The band Hum comes to mind also, and about a million more. I want to play in a wicked power group that mixes as many influences as we can. I absolutely love music (I've played professionally as a guitarist and bassist), I can play a really wide range of techniques, but I would consider myself an intermediate drummer who is working on being advanced, so I have some room to grow still.

I have a good work ethic and play lots of different instruments, a decent sound engineer and a pretty alright songwriter/producer. But, I just want to shut up and play the drums with amazing musicians and amazing people. :) Good chemistry is a must, egos not so much, but what can you do about that some times?

Anyways, shoot me an email and we'll see what's up!
thanks | I'm a guitarist looking to start an original funk/rock/metal band, I've since found a drummer and talking to some vocalists. We'll be doing some covers also to get started, but it is an original project. I've been playing for 20+ years and looking for musicians that want put together a professional band. The bass needs to be able to lay down a solid foundation with the drummer and be able to throw in some funky lines and grooves. The rhythm section foundation.

Our influences range from Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, and Rush to Extreme, Rob Zombie, and Korn, all over the rock world! I've got a couple of tune "ideas" that I quickly threw together up here and am working some more songs/riffs that I'll be putting up there soon. If it sounds interesting, shoot me an message and I'll get back to you. | Seeking Female singers who can do real soul music. We have a solo in a very special production. We would kinda like a variety R&B, Hip Hop, Old school Latin or if you'd just be willing to indugle us giving you our music. We love to dance! If we can't get a dj does anyone have a PA system that can be plugged into a boom box and a MIC you might be willing to let us use for the afternoon? My teaching studio is located at 6574 S. Broadway in Littleton. Call 303-932-8877 for rates and scheduling.

I teach fundamental musical skills and apply them to whatever kind of music you're into. Specializing primarily in electric guitar styles such as Rock, Blues, Jazz, Folk, Country, Pop etc. Which is not to say I don't do anything acoustic - I do. I teach music theory and improvisation, how to read music (standard musical notation, chord symbols, rhythmic notation, TAB) , ear training, and address a wide variety of playing techniques in a thorough and musical manner.

I also do music transcription. Be it note for note, or an adaptation/arrangement to suit the level of the individual student.

In my lessons I regularly make audio recordings (of myself playing) to provide examples of key points in a lesson (when needed - done via cassette tape) so students can hear what their goal is when practicing on their own at home.

I'm a published author of the book, "Reading Chops for Guitarists." In addition, I'm a published composer and sound designer (for 20 years now) with countless music and sound design placements on both TV and radio worldwide.
|
YOU CAN LEARN MUSICAL COUNTERPOINT WITH COUNTERPOINT: A STEP-BY-STEP E-COURSE

We are a band that has been playing from Littleton to Longmont for the last 4 years. Because of scheduling conflicts, our core of guitar/bass/drums may be available to back a singer/songwriter or a partial band that has lost its rhythm pit,for live shows or to fill out a recording.
We already play well together and get along so well we come as a set. We enjoy working hard on the music and view this as a chance to play new music for someone who needs a band for some of their shows.
We know how to accompany a singer and keep them center stage.
We are strong in Classic Rock, Soul, Blues, and R&B, and would be able to back Indie Pop, Acoustic Folk/Rock, and Country. (Did I mention that we have been at this a long time?)
Concerning original music, we take direction well and learn fast.
We would expect to help you sound great, and would expect to play paid gigs or studio time.

Here is some of the stuff I like: Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Godsmack, Filter, Breaking Benjamin, Slipknot, Tool...the stuff that's tricky to play, hard and fast.

Hey singer-songwriters (and acoustic bands),

I am one of the booked bands for the Bolder Boulder and I'm looking for a few good acts to take a 1-hour set to help share the time (it's a long day... potentially 7am to 3pm). Also, I am always looking to network with other bands to double-books shows, so if it is a good paring, all the better!!

The overall genre I am looking for (to keep some consistancy) is unique and clever (not mopey) singer-songwriter (more in the vein of "indie-rock" or "alternative") acts as opposed to jammy, sappy, typical singer-songwriter stuff.

Please send me your myspace and/or youtube links. If you sound anything like Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson or Coldplay I DON'T think it would be a good fit.

It will be a fun as hell day...

thanks for the interest |

We are getting ready to launch a national promo campaign.
The world wide web never sleeps. | we are a traditional blues band seeking a fundamental blues bassist. We are 40 - 60 years old, stable, mature and serious. End game is to play out several times a month including events and weddings.

We have about 30 songs ready and need to replace our recent bassist. Music is Albert King, Albert Collins, Clapton, SRV, Jimmy Thackery, Otis Rush, etc. We are strictly blues and won't be playing Free Bird or any other classic rock jam.

We practice twice a week for now and that will drop as we begin to gig and not need the rehearsals. After we nail the material, we will be looking to add a keyboardist to fill out the core band. Then if things are stable with the core group, we'll be looking to eventually layer in horns down the road.

It would be helpful if you can sing backups, harmony, and understand fundamental theory so we can get through things together. We are also working on a few originals and will eventually expand those to create our own CD, which can be marketed and distributed.

We really want a Blues Bassist. That means you understand the dynamics of blues music, can hold down the bottom and not want to get bored and embellish. All we are doing is blues so if you don't love it, then you will eventually get bored here cause we are not going to play anything else.

Ok, if you have any questions please write or call. First auditions will be this Saturday at 3:00PM in Castle Rock. Second Audition call is this coming Wednesday at 7:00PM in Castle Rock. We tune down 1/2 step for now (that may change depending on the keyboardists equipment in the future.

Audition Material will be:(keys are positions, not actual key in consideration of 1/2 step tune down)
Tore Down, Clapton in C.
Hoochie Coochie Man, Clapton in A
Texas Flood, SRV in G
Along the lines with getting into COMA (now COMBO) to aid in getting your name and music out beyond the front range, here are some documents that can better explain how the ISRC code works and how Gracenote works which is another good way to get your music out. I will put them on my website once I get it up, but direct links to the documents are below.

I give this to most of my clients as we start a project to get them spun up on how the process works. Usually Mastering Houses ask for the ISRC code when you send them the data (assuming it will be mass produced) but it is easy to do and cheap. $10 to $15 dollars to get a code that is in your name for the life of it. The process takes about 5 days too.

You've probably also seen them going for anywhere from $25 to $750...right?

Well, we can provide you with your own unique barcode for the VERY affordable price of a flat $15.00 . Yes, that's all. Why are we doing this? Because we're musicians as well and we know how tough (and expensive) it is to properly produce and market your music. So we'd like to help however we can...and this is our small way of supporting up and coming bands (like ourselves).
