<![CDATA[She's had a more eventful 3 years of life than I've had in my 20-something. Her journey started in Southern Illinois where she was found wandering, skeletal, and lactating with no puppies in sight. Humane society officers say that hounds in the area are often put to work, made to produce as many litters as possible, and discarded when they are no longer financially worth keeping. They think the puppies are with the breeder and that she was tossed because she was in such poor health from being underfed, unvaccinated, and full of worms. I'm sure she produced beautiful puppies though. Very sad. Thanks to the work of my great vet in Chicago, some very altruistic rescue groups, and vets in the Denver area, she is 100% back to good health. The day I got her was the day she was to be euthanized at the pound. She is a purebred 2 or 3 year old Tri-colored English Foxhound. Huge ears, very beautiful build, and even better temperament. Will love her human, and wants you to be committed to her as her owner. She loves being around, on, with, and next to her owner, but is very obedient about crawling into her crate when asked to do so. She is very athletic, and has once-a-week bursts of toddler energy, but is just as likely to be found lounging around your place ALL DAY. Depends on your mood. She likes attention, especially when she is adjusting to a new place, so be prepared to offer a lot of tummy rubs and receive a lot of paw and snout-in-face. She is VERY good with kids and will follow them and obediently listen to little kids yelling orders into her ears and tugging on her various appendages (ears, tail, loose skin, etc.). She also watches over them - I think she misses being a mom. She is definitely a humorous dog, and I love her to death, but unfortunately, she was meant to be a temporary foster for me, and being the youngest amongst my other two dogs, she drives them nuts and hogs all the attention. Were she the only dog, I would keep her and love her to bits. Please give her a chance, and please make sure you are ready to commit to her. She needs stability and is a very, very sweet dog who deserves a nice, early retirement. She needs to be spayed - her previous "permanent" home was supposed to have gotten that done, but they unexpectedly had to move soon after due to a great job-offer. I will always take her back, but be prepared to show me proof of spaying, and be prepared for a very fair rehoming fee plus deposit which will be returned upon proof of spay. The Lulu Mobile will do it for a nominal $35, and this includes rabies and microchip. I can give you proof of other vaccinations. The rehoming fee is going towards my ongoing commitment to fostering more needy animals. I will try to be flexible with the fees so good homes aren't turned down. ]]>

<![CDATA[Kee Kee is a small cat and probably will stay that way, but is a little over a year. She is a tuxedo(black & white), spaid, UTD on shots, and healthy. Kee Kee is used to being around dogs and will even play chase with the "right" one(calm, laid back dogs). Kee Kee DOES NOT like female cats, so no other female cats. Kee Kee plays well with male cats after some time to adjust. I believe she would be happy being the only cat in the home and even the only pet, if that is your situation. She likes to have alot of attention, just on her terms. She tends to get jealous of other pets getting attention. Kee Kee is very independant, but also very loving, if you give her space. She does not like to be picked up and held, but she will come to you anytime that you are sitting or lying down and purr like a kitten, at that time, she does like you to put your arms around her snuggly but gently. She will lay her head on you and reach up and touch your face with her paw or rub her face to yours if you are not giving her enough attention, although remember this priviledge only comes after she trusts you and loves you. Kee Kee loves male humans as much as females so, all who love cats are very welcome to apply. There is alot to be done in order to adopt Kee Kee. She has already been through abandonment at least once, so we will do everything we can to keep that from happening again. First, you will need to come meet her at her foster home and see if ya'll like eachother, she is very out-going, so if she likes you, we will know right away. If ya'll like eachother, and you want to continue the adoption process, next there will be an application to fill out and a home vist required. Then if all goes great then there will be a adoption contract to sign and an adoption fee of $50. And a chihuhua yorkie female (named tinsy) who is only a year old that i need to put up for adoption. I have been going through a difficult time and just dont have the time to give them the love they deserve. I want them to go to a good home and not be used as breeding machines! The chihuhua is very calm and is afraid of everything, and the yorkie mix is the opposite. She loves to get into everything and loves to play! They are both great with children. however the chihuhua does not like other dogs much but the yorkie mix loves other dogs. They both have all there shots. <![CDATA[We have to give our beloved dog, Achilles, away. Hi, I'm Achilles. I am a male Weim. pretty grey in color and have been neutered. I have to find a new loving home because I am growling at the new baby in the house. I am your typical Weimaraner: very active, I love people and attention, I need lots of exercise, I am great with older kids but don't really get younger ones. They get a little too close for my comfort. I have to growl to let them know that they are getting on my nerves. I really love to walk and run outside. I get along with other dogs when I am off leash. On the leash I am very protective. I need an owner who will be consistent with obedience and patient. I would be a great addition to a family who understands what the weim. breed is all about. I really want to find a home that loves me and will have time to spend with me. I am the best fit for a home where someone has the time to exercise me. If I am not exercised properly I will let you know I am unhappy. When I go to the dog park I might tell the other dogs “hi” but that’s about it. I prefer the company of people over other dogs, but I get along with them just fine. I am house trained and know basic obedience commands (I do have a hard time with stay). I am used to being left in the house while my owner is at work, and I am not destructive-unless the trash is left out in the open (my owners usually lock it in the bathroom). I need the run of the house while you are gone or I might scratch up your doors. In the evenings I usually curl up on my bed and sleep. Then my owners put me out for potty and then I follow them up and sleep in their room at night. I am very afraid of fireworks and thunder and should not be left alone on the 4th of July. I usually hide in a closet and shake until they are over. I am very handsome but don't let my looks fool you. I can be ornery. I like to let you know when strangers are close by barking and I have to be reminded again and again to keep off the couch. If you will let me I would love to sleep on your bed. I have my nice bed, blanket, collar, leather leash and a month’s worth of food and a year's supply of heart guard. I like the Iams lamb and rice formula. It’s easy to find at Target. I am in excellent health and just need a yearly check up and heart worm medication also bordetella (so I don’t get a doggie cold when boarding). I am six, will be seven in June but still have lots of life left and act like a young doggie. I weigh about 75 pounds and 80 should be about my max. I have a short coat and tend to get hot or cold easily. I can’t be left alone outside (all day or all night) since I am so temperature sensitive but if you were to play with me outside all day, I would totally be into that! *****We have his vet records, the name of his vet and the name of the kennel we board him. <![CDATA[We have taken our dog to the Camp Bow Wow in Northglenn off 115th and Huron. We are very happy with that place! The staff there is very caring, reliable and actually plays with the dogs. We always hear stories about his day when we pick him up too. If there is not someone in the lobby when I get there it is usually only because they are back with the dogs. My dog loves going there and knows what day care means – he gets very excited! Best of all for us, he is exhausted when he comes home. :)]]>

<![CDATA[Annabelle is a great dog! She is very smart, funny, adorable and very loving. She is 18 months old and crate trained. She knows hand signals for "Down" and "Sit", and can easily be trained to know more. She is not "Alpha" and she knows it. She gets along with other dogs after initial adjustment period (about an hour), but probably not with cats. She is great with kids. This is a sweet, timid dog, but she does have a ferocious bark and may nip at strangers. I moved to an apartment without a yard and it's not a good fit for her. She needs a home with a dog door and a yard. Only serious inquiries please. ]]>

He suffers rather bad seperation anxiety so it would be best if he had a yard with a doggie door, people that were home a lot (home worker, retired etc.) he travels wonderfuly, so loves trips. <![CDATA[I have three bullfrogs and two gold fish that need to go. Caught last year for my son's amusement, he has lost interest since. We have far too many critters as it is, so they're going away. As we have had them for nearly a full year, I didn't feel right letting them go again into the wild. So they're here to find a good home. They eat just about anything that moves... seriously... I've fed them houseflies, crickets, roaches, grasshoppers, centipedes, ladybugs, etc... they eat like monsters. I'm charging 35 dollars for the set up... mainly just to cover the heater and filter cost. The light is not going with them, I wish to keep that. But any clamp lamp will fit over the hole I made into the box. Within the large box is a smaller box with grass growing in it... this is supposed to be they're "dry" area but when I cleaned it last I put the thing too close to the filter... so its pretty soggy... but they seem to like it that way. Bullfrogs are very easy to care for... simply keep they're water level to just under the "dry box" with dechlorinated water, and feed them crickets or other such bugs once every other day. The goldfish are raised on shrimp pellets, which you can purchase at any petstore/walmart. My son loved them, and they are awesome to hear at night. With the running water and the croaking its very relaxing. They typically don't croak continuously, so Its never gotten annoying. If you really want my lamp I can throw it in for another 15 dollars. It's been modified for my purposes with a dimmer switch and an extra long cord, which is why I'm loath to let it go. thank you EDIT: ohh, and the air pump shown is not for sale. It's not necessary for the upkeep of this enclosure, I put it in there for enhanced visual effect.]]>

<![CDATA[Hi I am Leah, I am a young adult female German Shorthaired Pointer. I have been in this shelter two times in my life. The first time I arrived extremely skinny and malnurished. Fortunately my owners did come and pick me up. When the shelter staff asked what I had been fed, my owner could not come up with an answer. The second time I came in, I was basically "taken" from my owners after the staff explained that they (at first) could not take me due to what city I lived in and then my owner proceded to hit me once back inside the car. Needless to saw I have been eating canned food everyday and slowly gaining more and more healthy weight. I do need to go to a home with a six foot fence because I can easily clear a four foot fence.
