We are working on it though and he is very good as long as you take him outside to go. He is up to date on shots and he is crate trained. He does not whine or bark when put in his crate for the night. He walks good on a leash and gets along with both other dogs and kids. I do not have a cat so I'm not sure how he is with them but he has such a wonderful personality I can't imagine him not being good with any other animal. <![CDATA[We need to find a home for this little girl. She was born May 20th. My great aunts cat got out, had kittens, and we only have one more to find a loving home for. We cannot keep her as we already have 3 cats. She has not had any shots yet, but her mother and 2 of her brothers were tested for worms and all are negative. She loves to play and rough house with the other cats. So hopefully she will go to a home that already has cats, or a family who is prepared to play with her a ton and spoil her with toys to keep hwe busy. When she came to our house she was quite shy for about 3 weeks but she has warmed up, she loves to snuggle and talk. To help her in her new home we are giving a new litter box, a bowl for food and water, a bed and whatever food is left. We are asking a small rehoming fee but it can be negotiated over the phone. <![CDATA[Meet Philippe! He is an orange/white male 15wk old kitten. When I first found him a month ago he was in pretty bad shape. He had pressure wounds to both sides of his face/back from being stuck under a chair for over a day. He had fleas and was weak. I took him to the vet and she treated him with Advantage for his fleas and gave me antibacterial wipes to clean his wounds daily. A month later and his wounds have healed and he is flea free. He is a very healthy and energetic kitten. When I first brought him home he was very skeptical of other dogs and cats, he would growl whenever he was even in the same room as them. It took a couple weeks and he now trys to play with my other cats and will walk right up to the dogs. He is only comfortable around docile, calm natured dogs who won't chase him. He loves to play and run around the house. He is still a kitten so he does play bite and scratch at your hands ( not hard ) , he thinks its a game, but he will grow out of it. At night he will purr and cuddle up next to me in bed. He is a very sweet and loveable kitten that I have become very attached to in a short period of time and I just want to make sure he goes to a great indoor home! We are now losing ours and must move! We could NOT afford to get them neutered or we would have!!!!!! It; is not fun having unneutered males in the house AT ALL! She has very pretty and a bit unusual markings on her face, along with a darker orange tail, orange on legs, light colored back. But the best thing is how she is squinting her eyes in the pic. She is probably a pretty contented cat who will make a nice pet. See her, pet her, and see if you like her. There are more kitties, too. <![CDATA[I found a young female orange tabby a couple weeks ago on my back porch in Allen Park, MI. Near Southfield/Allen rd. I have had no luck finding the owner. She is a very sweet playful kitten/cat. She was very skinny and hungry when I found her but is doing a lot better now. Her eyes are very strange. They are yellow but have a greenish/blue rings around her pupils. If anyone is missing this cat or would like to take her email me or call me at 313-459-5887. I can not keep her since I have 3 of my own. I would really like to not have to take her to a shelter. <![CDATA[I have a 2.5 year established 55 gallon saltwater tank. The substrate is crushed coral with an under gravel filter. The coral has many critters you can watch from the side of the glass! We no longer have time or money to maintain this tank. There is a coralife light and a hanging filter with a skimmer (built in). There are a few blue leg crabs, 2 peppermint shrimp, a sailfin tang, a clown fish and many, many starfish. There are pieces of coral that are doing ok. I am asking $350 for the entire setup, we have invested over $800 in the system. I hate to lose it, but like I said, we just don't have time or money! <![CDATA[I RESCUED A HUMAN TODAY Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the ba...ck of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them. As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one. I rescued a human today.]]>

<![CDATA[I am having the hardest time trying to find a place to adopt rats. Went to a few pet-stores today, they had maybe 2 - 3 rats tops, and half the other cages were empty. The selection they had was dismal. I would like to come out to someone who breeds rats for PETS - and adopt 2 very young, but ready for weening rats. I would like to get them young so that they get to know us as their only parents, and learn to trust us. I've kept rats in the past, and found this is the best way to know the full history. <![CDATA[Sarah is a 5yr old shepherd mix who desperatly needs a forever home asap, today is her last day before they take her to the pound. She's well behaved, fully potty trained and a very loyal dog. She is spayed and up to date on shots. Her owned has been evicted and is living in his car and has no where for Sarah to live. She gets along with other pets well, other dogs it takes her a while to warm up she like to be the dominate one. Needs to go to a home with grown children (she's not used to little ones who pull her hair/tail/ears) I would hate to see this awesome dog end up in a shelter, I would take her in a heartbeat if I didn't have the city limit already for dogs. I will not just hand her over to just anyone so hoarders and dog flippers do not bother to respond. <![CDATA[We have had this rescue for two years now. He loves my daughter but suffers from separation anxiety and chews everything in sight. We have tried everything......crates, other pets, her clothes, snacks, tv or radio on, benadryl was recommended and tried, does not work, waiting to hear from the vet about other methods, but who wants to constantly drug the dog? That is not fair to the animal. He needs to be in a home where there is a stay at home Mom or Dad to keep him company. He was rescued from deplorable conditions. He was bait in pit bull fights. We love him so much and want to make sure he goes to the best home possible. He really is so obedient, walks without a leash, although I do not recommend it until you know him and he knows the surroundings well, he loves attention, thinks he's a lap dog. loves car rides, is good with cats and if you introduce other dogs gently, large dogs, he is fine with them too! Poor little guy has scars on him from the previous abuse....they cut him, filed his teeth down so he could not fight back.....has a little piece of ear that is missing, one side of his head is a bit larger than the other, but is still adorable to us. He is a sandy colored English Bull dog mix. We have taken great care of him....spoiled him....and really wanted this to work. I am afraid to keep him medicated and cannot afford a fancy trainer to work with him. If there is someone out there that would be willing to give this guy one more chance at a happy normal life.....please help....we love him.....but with my daughter in college and him chewing everything when she is gone......it is stressing her out and her room mates at college will not tolerate their things being chewed up. We will loose our security deposit and cannot afford that either. Help, we do not want to put him to sleep....we just want someone to be there and love him. He actually took a bite out of the counter top in her apartment while she was gone......but the minute she walks in he is quiet, wags his tale, and is as calm a s a cucumber. I am lost at this point......anyone else would take him to the pound....I can't.....I know what they'll do......he just wants love.]]>

<![CDATA[I just read that a dwarf puffer only needs 5 gallons of water to live in. I've always wanted a puffer fish, but always read that puffers need 30+ gallons and I don't have room for a tank that big. I'm really excited now to know that I can get one. My question is: does anyone know of a good place I can get one. A non-chain store. I don't want to get one anywhere like PetSmart, Petco etc.. Anytime I have gotten fish there they die within a month. I was thinking Kee's Aquarium & Pets. Does anyone know if they carry them and how much they are? If anyone had bought fish before at a pet store in the area that was healthy and lived long please let me know. Or if anyone has one they are trying to rehome please let me know. Everything is up front. I called the Emergency Vet on John R. and they said it would be at least $400-700. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money to give them up front. They came together, I got them sexed, and the Vet told me they were both males, indeed wrong :) My big bunny has had a liter before, but the didn't survive, most first litters don't. The liter was perfect though; So if you want, you can totally have them mate again, and have gorgeous babies. I might even one day take one. I just don't have the time for two rabbits right now. I love them dearly, and they are perfect. My big brown bunnies name is "Big Bunny" or "Buttercup" Shes a girl. Not spayed. My little black bunnies name is "Little Bunny" or "Skunky". Hes a boy :) Also not neutered. I have them in separate cages right now, but they use to be in the same one. I don't want to sell them, but I want to ensure a good home. I'm asking around $60.. But I can completely work with you on that. If you're a great person, and believe you're perfect for them, I have no problem lowering the price drastically. They are not food, I want them to go to a loving family. They don't enjoy being held, but you can do it anyways :) I kiss them and squeeze them too death. <![CDATA[Chessie is a handsome 11 month old un- neutered (doesn't spray but still needs to be fixed) red tabby Cornish Rex with the usual rexed coat : short, fine, soft and wavy. Some people find this type of fur to be less allergenic than regular cat hair. It is certainly easier to bath and dry. He will not come with any papers. Chessie likes people, me most of all, is fond of laps and cat treats and will even come when called for cat treats. He tolerates having his nails trimmed and baths, is used to small dogs and other cats. he uses a scratching post, uses the litter box and is an indoor cat. He will come with some of the food he is used to eating. I do not want to have to find a home for Chessie, But I have way too many animals and am losing my house very soon.
