Just want to have fun with y'all.. Listen, every so often I like to lighten the mood. Got some crazy vids, they happen to be about Obama, but both sides of the aisle can laugh at them cuz they're funny and creative. Ok, first, this Rev Manning guy with the "Barack Obama.. He's not a BLACK MAN! He's Bi-Racial!" rant. This is kinda funny watching it cuz you can see the lunacy in his eyes, and the way he speaks is kinda funny at times, fast then slow and all with the tempo. Either way, the really funny stuff starts around 3:30 into the video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAHiuqhFgIs

Then, the really funny stuff is the site ytmnd.com (stands for You're The Man Now, Dog!) people on their site took this guy and ran with it, they start with restating the parts of the speech they like and think is funny.. http://obamastillnotablack.ytmnd.com/

Then somebody picks up on it and does a remix.. Pretty good actually, I enjoyed listening to the song, and i'm an Obama supporter, so really, this is fun and funny! (still trying to convince ppl cuz it can be so volitile in here sometimes!)
http://black-man.ytmnd.com/

Then an nice little FAKE news story, which ia really really creative IMHO..
http://obamanews.ytmnd.com/ The "I can break these cuffs" and other stuff are other fads on ytmnd.com, some might be familiar with that, but some might not be, I dunno, and I'm not about to explain all the rest of it..lol.

Then the most recent tonight that inspired me to post right now.. the combining of the Scatman fad on ytmnd (great song, btw.. ) and the "Black Man" thing that these links have been about. At any rate, some nights the creativity on this site blows my mind, and since it's political in nature, thought I'd share it with cons and libs alike.. enjoy.
http://blackmanscatman.ytmnd.com/

And those who know me, yeah, I'm on another drunken stupor on CL
Re CNN Confirmed

Have you read what you published? Most of the article describes a governor doing her job, trying to create jobs, get competitive bids, and publicize her state. The per diem may be a little bit troubling but are nothing compared to our recent democratic mayor in Detroit. You are seeing what you want to see, not what is there. I am not a McCain supporter, but I find blind twisting of facts in support of a candidate like this troubling. Are all Obama supporters Lemmings?

This repetition of endless accusations reminds me of the days of Bill Clinton. The irrational hatred, the mindless notion that the Democrats had a secret agenda.
I wish we could discuss issues, maybe there are answers we could both agree on.

I know some of us don't like to think this way, but we are all in this boat together. We may think a little different about our problems and solutions, but we all want good jobs, security, a good school for our kids, and safe neighborhoods.

That said, I am shocked at the level of hate for Obama. Aren't you guys sick of Bush Clinton Bush Clinton? McCain had to kiss the Bush ring, we all know that. They will own his presidency too. No one owns Obama. He is not a Clinton, Kennedy, or any other powerful families favorite child.

I know there will always be a radical fringe who will do or say anything, but why are so many of you following the Pied Piper? You will just end up humiliated again when all the conspiracies are proved wrong.

Speaking of Clinton, don't we owe the Clintons' an apology for thinking the worst of them all these years? Other groups were not as fortunate.
By Stephen Braun,, Tom Hamburger and Chuck Neubauer
Los Angeles Times Staff Writers

October 11, 2008

WASHINGTON — Big business was granted wide access to Sarah Palin's office during her first 20 months as Alaska governor, but she rarely met with labor, environmental or other groups pressing alternative views, her official calendar shows.

On at least three dozen occasions, Palin, now the Republican vice presidential nominee, spoke with executives and lobbyists working for an array of energy, mining and tourism firms with major investments in Alaska.

Among those who visited Palin's Juneau office multiple times were the chief executives of Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips, as well as several dozen other top oil and gas company officials.

"We have not had problems with access to Gov. Palin or her key department people," said Ashley Reed, a lobbyist who was on a team of natural-gas officials who met with Palin in April 2007. Reed was working with Enstar, a gas firm seeking approval for a natural-gas "bullet" pipeline.

Despite that access, however, Palin has cut an independent course on oil and gas issues -- which has won wide acclaim from Alaskans. She forced the companies to share windfall profits with the state, moved to pull the lucrative leases of those that were not actively exploring for oil and chose a Canadian firm to manage a major gas pipeline project.

Still, Palin has held few meetings with groups holding alternative views.

Her calendar shows that Palin met four times in those 20 months with officials from the Teamsters, who endorsed her 2006 gubernatorial bid, and the AFL-CIO.

She also held two sessions with members of a conservation group seeking state support in addressing climate change -- an issue on which Palin does not see eye to eye with environmentalists.

"I don't think we've had the time we need to press the importance of our issues," said Kate Troll, executive director of the Alaska Conservation Alliance. The activists have not been granted a follow-up to a February 2007 meeting with the governor "despite multiple requests," said Peter Van Tuyn, an Alaska environmental lawyer.

In an August interview with National Public Radio before being named John McCain's running mate, Palin declared: "I've had about two lobbyists, two, maybe three lobbyists who have snuck in [to her statehouse office] with a group of people. So I can't say they've never been in, but we don't invite lobbyists in."

According to her calendar, however, Palin has met with more than a dozen registered lobbyists since taking office in December 2006.

Taylor Griffin, a McCain campaign spokesman in Anchorage, insisted that Palin "has a policy that she does not meet with lobbyists. As governor, she has hundreds of meetings and, as she concedes, occasionally a lobbyist slips through."

But the policy "was never clearly articulated," a former senior aide said. "It didn't get applied consistently."

Though some veteran lobbyists have complained about being effectively barred from Palin's office, Reed and several others said Palin's aides were aware before the meetings that lobbyists would be coming.

"My personal experience is they've always welcomed discussions," Reed said.

In several cases, registered lobbyists met with Palin and returned for second sessions.

Robert A. Evans, a veteran lobbyist in Anchorage, and several Safeway supermarket executives met with Palin on April 17, 2007. Eight days later, Evans returned to her office with a team of executives from Agrium, an ammonia and fertilizer operation.

Lisa Parker, an Agrium executive who also is a registered lobbyist, was among them. Evans confirmed the meetings but otherwise declined to comment.

The Times obtained Palin's calendar under a Freedom of Information Act request. The governor's office turned down a similar request for calendars and schedules pertaining to her husband, Todd Palin, who reportedly has played a prominent role in her decision-making.

Gov. Palin's office said her husband does not keep a calendar.

In addition to meetings with big business and lobbyists, Palin's calendar indicates that she filled her daily schedules with dozens of media interviews.

That access seems a far cry from her recent complaints that the national media has "filtered" her message as a vice presidential candidate.

According to aides, Palin wooed reporters in Juneau with plates of brownies and telephone calls on their birthdays.

Courting the Alaska press proved to be a key component of her soaring popularity in the state -- long before she struggled during interviews with national television anchors Katie Couric and Charles Gibson.

"She craved publicity and the poll ratings that came with it," said Larry Persily, a former Alaska journalist who worked for Palin in Alaska's state office in Washington until earlier this year.

The calendar also details Palin's frequent stays at her home in Wasilla, Alaska -- which became a source of controversy when it was learned that she collected per diem allowances while away from the governor's mansion in Juneau.

Palin received a $60 stipend for each of the hundreds of days she worked out of Anchorage and stayed at home, about an hour away.

Alaska officials said she is entitled to the per diem when she works outside the state capital, and Griffin added that Palin has spent much less on travel and security arrangements than her Republican predecessor, Frank Murkowski.

Palin collected the per diem for six days around Christmas 2007 when she had no events listed on her official calendar. She was paid for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve but did not seek stipends for Christmas or New Year's Day.

Her official work away from Juneau for which she received stipends included visits to libraries in Wasilla and nearby Palmer, a stop at the annual Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River and attendance at the Moose Dropping Festival in Talkeetna.
To the lady.

It is my opinion that the GOP activists need to increase the distortions given McCain's slide in the polls. Keep in mind that the tactics used by the right have been handed down from Atwater (Bush 41) to Rove (Bush 43) to McCain (Bush III). McCain was finally embarassed enough to speak down to the rabid crowd.

Here is an excerpt from a newpaper article:
"Late in the town hall meeting, Gayle Quinnell of Shakopee called Obama "an Arab." Taken aback, McCain shook his head and, taking the microphone from her, said, "No, ma'am. He's a decent family man, citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues."
After the rally, Quinnell was unrepentant. "You can't trust Barack Hussein Obama because he is a Muslim and a terrorist," she said." (Star Tribune)

This is the extent that the right have fanned the flames. Palin didn't stop the 'terrorist' and 'kill him' shouts from the previous day's mob. McCain, to his credit, stomped on a couple of kool-aid-drinkers. Nice story in preceding post from Mr Rove and the wallstreet journal, I will cut and paste this one about McCain for you from my source...

A McCain Flip-Flop on Osama bin Laden?

On August 7, 1998, hundreds of people were killed when terrorists detonated car bombs at the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. Almost immediately, the United States had evidence that a little-known group called al Qaeda was complicit in the attacks. Though al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden had been plotting against the United States for years, this act of mass-murder won the band of Islamic terrorists and its leaders worldwide infamy. Weeks after the attack, President Clinton fired scores of Tomahawk missiles at a suspected al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan, and he also attacked a pharmaceutical factory in Sudan his administration claimed was a chemical weapons plant.

Ten years later, this past August 7, John McCain released a statement on the anniversary of the embassy bombings. It was a harsh indictment of the Clinton administration and others who in McCain's estimation had not regarded the threat of al Qaeda with sufficient seriousness back then:

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the al Qaeda terrorist attacks on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that killed more than 225 people, including 12 Americans, and injured thousands others. The attacks made it painfully clear that al Qaeda's terrorist call to arms to attack Americans anywhere in the world was not an empty threat. The attacks proved the vulnerability of U.S. installations overseas, and demonstrated -- to any that needed further evidence -- that al Qaeda was a well-funded, organized and treacherous terrorist organization determined to kill Americans. Tragically, the U.S. response to the 1998 embassy bombings was wholly inadequate in addressing the threat posed by Al Qaeda despite the horrific toll of the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania. Too many Clinton Administration officials refused to act effectively to counter the dangers posed by al Qaeda. Three years later, al Qaeda's commitment to kill was devastatingly brought to our soil.

But at the time--even after the embassy bombings--McCain, too, was slow to recognize the nature of the threat posed by al Qaeda and bin Laden. Weeks after these attacks, he even came across as dismissive of bin Laden as a danger and showed no enthusiasm for hunting down this terrorist and his al Qaeda allies. And he did so in a Mother Jones interview.

In mid-September 1998, journalist Jason Vest, on assignment for the magazine, conducted an hour-long interview with McCain. At the time, McCain's efforts to pass campaign finance reform and anti-tobacco legislation had made him, as Vest put it, "the darling of political reporters." Much of the interview covered issues of money and politics. But with the embassy bombings still in the news, Vest asked McCain about bin Laden and how to deal with terrorism. The following exchange ensued:

Vest: You not only have had combat experience in Vietnam, but you were also a prisoner of war. When you look at terrorism right now, with people like Osama bin Laden, do you have any reservations about watching strikes like that?

McCain: You could say, Look, is this guy, Laden, really the bad guy that's depicted? Most of us have never heard of him before. And where there is a parallel with Vietnam is: What's plan B? What do we do next? We sent our troops into Vietnam to protect the bases. Lyndon Johnson said, Only to protect the bases. Next thing you know....Well, we've declared to the terrorists that we're going to strike them wherever they live. That's fine. But what's next? That's where there might be some comparison.

McCain's answer makes it seem that he was not overly concerned about bin Laden or eager to go after him and that he was worried that military action against al Qaeda could draw the United States into another quagmire. That is, he was talking like those people whom McCain attacked in 2008 for not having realized in 1998 that "al Qaeda was a well-funded, organized and treacherous terrorist organization determined to kill Americans."

On August 20, 1998--the day that Clinton attacked the al Qaeda camp in Afghanistan and the factory in Sudan--McCain did issue a press release praising the military action as a "welcome response" He added that "American credibility and resolve have been enhanced by today's strikes." Two days later on CNN, he again hailed Clinton's response: "The president's decision to strike and his administration's promise to prevail in what may well be a long-term campaign were right." But a search of the Congressional Record at www.thomas.loc.gov indicates McCain made no statements on the Senate floor regarding bin Laden or al Qaeda any time that year. And a Nexis search of the six months following the embassy bombings produced no references to any McCain comments related to this terrorist outfit and its leader--other than his praise for Clinton's retaliatory strikes.

McCain's 1998 remarks to Mother Jones and the absence of public statements from him about bin Laden at the time suggest that McCain had been as much behind the curve on al Qaeda as the people he would decry ten years after the fact. At the time, he did not in public treat al Qaeda as a serious danger or advocate swift and extensive action. A decade later, he had no reason--other than politics--to be pointing fingers.

You quote Rove and the Wall Street Journal and I shall quote Mother Jones.
Should pretty much equal each other out.
You are most certainly entitled to your opinion about who you support in this election, but how dare you go into gross detail about Obama's father. Barack Obama barely knew his father and went through considerable pain over not having a father in his life. If you are man, and you had a father, can't you at least have the decency to understand how hard this must have been for him as a young boy?

To go into details about his father's choices in life, which have NOTHING to do with Barack, and to talk about what happened to him in that car accident are nothing short of unforgivable. Regardless of who you are supporting in this race, you have the responsiblity of acting like a decent human being.

I hope you can look at yourself in the mirror, because I have no respect for someone who thinks like you do.

You disappoint me. We know you frogs hate Bush. But you ignore the strong economy we enjoyed until the democrats won congress. Since then, everything has gone to hell. Except that we haven't had a terrorist attack in 7 years. Some people count that as a pretty significant achievement. But you know what? Bush isn't running again. He served his two terms. Beating democrats twice.

And John McCain is running now. You say he came from "privilege". His father and grandfather were admirals in the Navy. Not exactly CEOs on Wall Street, but pretty significant achievements. Not big money jobs, but lots of responsibility. And Obama's father? A drunken womanizer who left his wife and kid to return to Kenya and get drunk, crash his car and lose his legs.

As far as who McCain is, here's some educational material............

Wall Street Journal

* APRIL 30, 2008

Getting to Know John McCain
*

It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that Doris Day. The Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.

As we ate near the Days' home in Florida recently, I heard things about Sen. McCain that were deeply moving and politically troubling. Moving because they told me things about him the American people need to know. And troubling because it is clear that Mr. McCain is one of the most private individuals to run for president in history.
[Getting to Know John Mccain] AP
*
Col. (Ret.) Bud Day with John McCain at a campaign stop in Pensacola, Fla., in January.
*
When it comes to choosing a president, the American people want to know more about a candidate than policy positions. They want to know about character, the values ingrained in his heart. For Mr. McCain, that means they will want to know more about him personally than he has been willing to reveal.

Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war. When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, "I told you I would make you a cripple."

The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day's will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at "a goofy angle," as Mr. Day explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again.

But it didn't heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day's splint in place.
*
Former POW Earnest Brace describes conversations with John McCain through the walls of a Hanoi prison.
*
Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complimented the treatment he'd gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was Dr. McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.

Another story I heard over dinner with the Days involved Mr. McCain serving as one of the three chaplains for his fellow prisoners. At one point, after being shuttled among different prisons, Mr. Day had found himself as the most senior officer at the Hanoi Hilton. So he tapped Mr. McCain to help administer religious services to the other prisoners.

Today, Mr. Day, a very active 83, still vividly recalls Mr. McCain's sermons. "He remembered the Episcopal liturgy," Mr. Day says, "and sounded like a bona fide preacher." One of Mr. McCain's first sermons took as its text Luke 20:25 and Matthew 22:21, "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's." Mr. McCain said he and his fellow prisoners shouldn't ask God to free them, but to help them become the best people they could be while serving as POWs. It was Caesar who put them in prison and Caesar who would get them out. Their task was to act with honor.

Another McCain story, somewhat better known, is about the Vietnamese practice of torturing him by tying his head between his ankles with his arms behind him, and then leaving him for hours. The torture so badly busted up his shoulders that to this day Mr. McCain can't raise his arms over his head.

One night, a Vietnamese guard loosened his bonds, returning at the end of his watch to tighten them again so no one would notice. Shortly after, on Christmas Day, the same guard stood beside Mr. McCain in the prison yard and drew a cross in the sand before erasing it. Mr. McCain later said that when he returned to Vietnam for the first time after the war, the only person he really wanted to meet was that guard.

Mr. Day recalls with pride Mr. McCain stubbornly refusing to accept special treatment or curry favor to be released early, even when gravely ill. Mr. McCain knew the Vietnamese wanted the propaganda victory of the son and grandson of Navy admirals accepting special treatment. "He wasn't corruptible then," Mr. Day says, "and he's not corruptible today."

The stories told to me by the Days involve more than wartime valor.

For example, in 1991 Cindy McCain was visiting Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh when a dying infant was thrust into her hands. The orphanage could not provide the medical care needed to save her life, so Mrs. McCain brought the child home to America with her. She was met at the airport by her husband, who asked what all this was about.

Mrs. McCain replied that the child desperately needed surgery and years of rehabilitation. "I hope she can stay with us," she told her husband. Mr. McCain agreed. Today that child is their teenage daughter Bridget.

I was aware of this story. What I did not know, and what I learned from Doris, is that there was a second infant Mrs. McCain brought back. She ended up being adopted by a young McCain aide and his wife.

"We were called at midnight by Cindy," Wes Gullett remembers, and "five days later we met our new daughter Nicki at the L.A. airport wearing the only clothing Cindy could find on the trip back, a 7-Up T-shirt she bought in the Bangkok airport." Today, Nicki is a high school sophomore. Mr. Gullett told me, "I never saw a hospital bill" for her care.

A few, but not many, of the stories told to me by the Days have been written about, such as in Robert Timberg's 1996 book "A Nightingale's Song." But Mr. McCain rarely refers to them on the campaign trail. There is something admirable in his reticence, but he needs to overcome it.

Private people like Mr. McCain are rare in politics for a reason. Candidates who are uncomfortable sharing their interior lives limit their appeal. But if Mr. McCain is to win the election this fall, he has to open up.

Americans need to know about his vision for the nation's future, especially his policy positions and domestic reforms. They also need to learn about the moments in his life that shaped him. Mr. McCain cannot make this a biography-only campaign – but he can't afford to make it a biography-free campaign either. Unless he opens up more, many voters will never know the experiences of his life that show his character, integrity and essential decency.

These qualities mattered in America's first president and will matter as Americans decide on their 44th president.

Mr. Rove is the former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush.

Most presidents didn't have a voluminous list of accomplishments before they become a President. They usually serve in a state house, rise up to Federal service or as state governor, then run for the Presidency. Some go the path of General, sometimes preacher, others are rich people who can finance privately.

The problem with accomplishments is that they take a lot of time, but time is deadly. I think Thomas Jefferson, James Polk, or John Kennedy would be good presidents, problem is they are dead! McCain will be dead soon too, then we will have our beauty queen at the helm. He championed human rights throughout the world. It was a woman who identified herself as calling from the Obama Campaign. The phone # she called from was 903-798-6020 which lists as “Obama Volunteers of Texarkana” (Texas).

She asked if I was an Obama supporter to which I replied:

“No, I don’t support him, your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the State Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.” I hung up.

Thursday, October 2, I answered the front door to find the Secret Service. Immediately I thought of the call and was furious that apparently you are not allowed to call Obama a Socialist without the Secret Service coming to investigate. Instead, they asked me about the following comment, relayed by the Obama Volunteer of Texarkana who called me, unsolicited on my cell phone:

“I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor.”

My husband laughed and told them “No, she called him a socialist but she never said a word about him dying.” I gave them my actual quote. The woman asked insolently “Oh? Well why would she make that up?”

I replied that I supposed she wasn’t happy about what I said about her candidate and the Agent said “That’s right, you were rude!” The last time I checked being rude wasn’t a crime in America.

Luckily the big file they had gathered on me didn’t indicate mental instability or a past life of stalking/crime, however they did want to know how I felt about Obama. That was my limit. I told the Agent in no uncertain terms that my thoughts were not pertinent to their investigation, that this was America and the last time I checked I was allowed to think whatever I wanted without being questioned by the Secret Service. In fact, even if I had said what she claimed, that isn’t a threat. I told them (again) and my husband verified that the statement reported by Obama’s volunteer was a lie. I asked them if there was a tape of the call and they said no. I said, “So on the word of a ticked off Obama supporter you are on my porch with no other evidence and you want to question me about my THOUGHTS!?”

They informed me that there was no evidence she was an Obama supporter…someone calling from his campaign…are you kidding?

I was not allowed to know the name of my accuser at which point they informed me that it wasn’t like I was in a court of law, YET, as if this was a good thing. I recognized this as a veiled threat. I told them I would happily go to court since I did nothing wrong and at least then my accuser would have to face me rather than sending the thought police to my house.

They then said they were trying to do me a favor, that they came to me first before “embarrassing you by going to all your neighbors and family”, another threat? I told them to be my guest and talk to whomever they wanted but they weren’t going to investigate my thoughts on my porch.

They also informed me that it would be easier if the next time a supporter calls me I just say “Yeah sure count me in, or just hang up” apparently so she won’t get her undies in a bundle and give them more useless trips. Yeah right. I said “Look, someone calls me unsolicited on my cell phone to ask me to support their candidate and I can’t tell them why I don’t?” I said I was sorry they made a wasted trip but if they had a problem with some made up lie they needed to go talk to her about it because it wasn’t my fault they had to drive from Houston for nothing.

At one point I went inside and got a notepad to record their badge numbers and they refused to show me their badges. They had done the quick flip when they arrived. I asked for a card and the female Agent refused to give me one stating “You’re not going to get a card.” The male Agent gave me a card and told me I could contact Houston with any questions.

The fact that the volunteer lied, the fact that the Secret Service came to my house to question me about my thoughts and feelings and threaten to embarrass me to my neighbors and go to court if I didn’t cooperate is not really the tragedy here. Because that girl on the phone doesn’t have the pull to send the Secret Service to my home. Someone high in the ranks of a campaign working for a man who may be the next President of the United States of America felt comfortable bringing the force of the Federal Government to bear on a private citizen on nothing but the word of a partisan volunteer.

I want to file a counter complaint that false charges were made, that a false report was given to a peace officer. The Secret Service told me I cannot because they will protect the identity of the complainant. I also want the file they have on me destroyed and I want to know that my phone isn’t tapped, etcetera. I am hearing a lot of “Out of my Jurisdiction”.

Do I also hear jackboots?

Jessica Hughes

Lufkin, Texas

Note: I have contacted several news organizations, Rep Gohmert, Sen Hutchison, the Atty General, Local Police

Will keep you updated, pass it along.

Plutocracy defined:

Plutocracy is rule by the wealthy, or power provided by wealth.
In a plutocracy, the degree of economic inequality is high while the level of social mobility is low.
This can apply to a multitude of government systems, as the key elements of plutocracy transcend and often occur concurrently with the features of those systems.

Forms of control
A Plutocracy is a government controlled by a minuscule proportion of extremely wealthy individuals found in most societies. In many forms of government, those in power benefit financially, sometimes enough to belong to the aforementioned wealthy class.

Classically, a plutocracy was an oligarchy, which is to say a government controlled by the wealthy few. Usually this meant that these ‘plutocrats’ controlled the executive, legislative and judicial aspects of government, the armed forces, and most of the natural resources. To a certain degree, there are still some situations in which private corporations and wealthy individuals may exert such strong influence on governments, that the effect can arguably be compared to a plutocracy.

If there are no forms of control within the society, the plutocracy can easily collapse into a kleptocracy, "reign of thieves", where the powerholders attempt to confiscate as much public funds as possible as their private property. A kleptocratic state is usually thoroughly corrupt, has very little production and its economy is unstable. Many failed states represent kleptocracies.
Smear groups and now a desperate McCain campaign are trying to connect Barack to William Ayers using age-old guilt by association techniques. Here’s the truth: the smear associating Barack to Ayers is “phony,” “tenuous,” – even “exaggerated at best if not outright false.”

William Ayers is a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with whom Barack served on the board of an education-reform organization in the mid-1990’s. Here’s what the New York Times reported on the connection:

But the two men do not appear to have been close. No no no, try to understand this one.

The Americans and Russians, at the height of the arms race, realized that if they continued in the usual manner they were going to blow up the whole world.

One day they sat down and decided to settle the whole dispute with one dog fight. They'd have five years to breed the best fighting dog in the world and whichever side's dog won would be entitled to dominate the world. They selected only the biggest and strongest puppy from each litter, killed his siblings, and gave him all the milk. They used steroids and trainers and after five years came up with the biggest meanest dog the world had ever seen. Its cage needed steel bars that were three inches thick and nobody could get near it.

When the day came for the fight, the Americans showed up with a strange animal. There was nothing left at all of the Russian dog.

The Russians came up to the Americans, shaking their heads in disbelief. `We don't understand how this could have happened. What kind of sliding scale are we using here??

Using your standards, Keating 5 , what was McCain convicted of. Re Larry Craig, what was he convicted of. In one instance, no charges were ever brought. In the other, there was a plea.

---Precisely, so if no conviction, then the guilt by association charges don't hold up.
No, I mean his self professed use of illegal drugs. Marijuana and cocaine. By your standard, OJ didn't do it, right?

On the birth certificate, I didn't make that claim but I support it based on my understanding that legitimate sources have opined that Obama's birth certificate appears to have either been falsified or is in fact a forgery.

I disagree with your opinion that Acorn is not a terrorist organization. When you have a nationwide conspiracy to subvert the voting process, to undermine the rule of law and to destroy our government, you've got a terrorist organization. And pulllllluuuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeee, don't give me the tired old "you guys stole the election" crap. That claim has been debunked so many times, so many ways that anyone claiming that can be pegged in the same category as the 9/11 truthers (sic).

Oh, you mean Obama's drug use that he was never convicted of? Oh, and Barack Obama's birth certificate that's been posted on his website already (you're outdated there dude). And that guy in the federal pen who did something wrong, but again Barack never got convicted of? I mean, that's the Republican standard, isn't it? If you're not convicted, you're ok still to run for office, i.e. Keating five, Larry Craig, etc.. Oh wait, even if you ARE convicted, sometimes it's still ok with them a la Cindy "I fight my Husband's battles now" McCain.

ACORN is far from a "terrorist" organization as they'd have to use fear and killing of civilians to qualify. They have bad apples in their organization that try to register people to vote, and register some fictional characters too. They try to "steal elections" at the grassroots level, while Diebold and Republicans use a voter purge "top down" method. I see little difference. It's like calling the NRA a terrorist organization because one of its members went and shot up someplace.

Oh, and this presidential race is over..
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/robert-schlesinger/2008/10/09/barack-obama-will-defeat-john-mccain--this-ones-over.html
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/latestpolls/index.html
It's really not close anymore.

The one on his web site is lacking a number of important print and embossing marks that come on OFFICIAL birth certificates, the kind that can be physically inspected, not just posted on a website, doh!
----

Obama's Birth Record Found in Kenya, Why Hawaii Birth Cert. Fake, Obama's First 10 Executive Orders

Berg argues that Barack Obama was born in Kenya in 1961 to an American woman, Stanley Ann Dunham, and a Kenyan man, Barack Hussein Obama Senior, as reportedly shown by a birth certificate from Mombasa Maternity Hospital. According to the law at that time, a parent could pass US citizenship on to a child born abroad if the parent was at least 19 years old. Obama's mother was only 18.

No hospital birth certificate has been produced to show Obama was born in Hawaii, only a certificate of birth registry after the fact, which forensics experts have denounced as a forgery.

Moreover, when Obama was six years old his mother remarried and moved with her husband to his country, Indonesia. Records indicate Obama was naturalized as an Indonesian citizen. Indonesia does not allow dual nationality, so even had he been born in Hawaii, he would have lost his citizenship then.

Even if Obama is able to provide a US birth certificate, a dozen more insurmountable scandals face this unelectable candidate, which the Republicans can hardly wait to unleash on him after he is nominated.

Full Story <a href="http://freerepublic.com/focus/f
