Times are tough these days for a lot of people. Moms and Dads are fighting depression and stress all the while losing their kids to alcohol and drugs. The relationships needed to keep things going in the family are falling apart and so many other things. A lot of people are finding help with these things through counseling

I'm a minister and I've been counseling people now for over 27 years and I'm finding people are needing it today more than ever. So ....recently I've started offering it at the community volunteer center which we just moved in a few weeks back in Oak Park and the service is being extended for free.

Most who come ..leave our center a little donation which helps us out tremendously .... but those who need it and don't have a donation are encouraged to come in anyway. Sometimes it's been life changing.

Send me an email. I just may be the man you need to help you get things on the right track. If I'm not ....what have you got to lose...its confidential and it's free

Hope to hear from you soon

3D Ready
3D is an entertainment format that started back in the mid- 1800s, not long after the invention of photography. It was not until 1915 that 3D movies would make their debut. Back then 3D systems used anaglyph glasses, and, unfortunately, the experience of 3D with these glasses as well as a limited amount of titles available caused 3D to fade by the mid-1950's. The experience was not compelling; therefore, consumers saw no "value" with 3D in the past.

These kids will arrive in August 2010. We have full year and single semester students available, as well as students for both public and private schools. Families are required to provide at-home meals, and to provide the student with his/her own bed (they may share a bedroom with a host sibling of the same sex). The students have their own spending money for all other expenses. At least one member of the family must be at least 25 years old. There is no "typical American family". Many "alternative" family units would make excellent host families. The most important thing any family can provide is love and guidance.

Please contact me for more information and to answer any questions you may have. You can register online by going to our website (www.ie-usa.com). All families can chose their student from a list of anonymous profiles to find to best fit.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in possibly hosting an exchange student for the 10/11 school year. We have students 15-18 years old from around the world that will be arriving in late August for 5 or 10 months. We need host families for these students. We have students interested in a variety of activities including all kinds of sports, scouts, youth groups, art, dance music, reading, math/science, skiing, baseball, soccer, volleyball, hiking/camping, basketball, choir, band, drawing and painting.
Without host families, we would not be able to help these students achieve their American Dream! Host families need only to provide a bed for the student and meals at home. Students can share a room with another kid. All other expenses are the student's responsibility. Host Families can consist of all make-ups such as single parent families, singles, couples with no kids, retirees, empty nesters, etc. These students make great mentors to younger children as well.

Host Families provide the following to host a student:
- A bed for the student (students can share a room)
- Meals at home
- Loving, caring, environment for the student

Students come with the following:
- Ability to speak English at a high school level
- Complete Health Insurance
- Spending money for anything they need including hygiene items, school supplies, clothes, long distance phone calls, etc)
- Open mind about their American experience

We have students from all over the world including: Brazil, Italy, Finland, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Turkey, Thailand, Colombia, Korea, Slovakia, China, Taiwan, Belgium, Mexico, and many more.
Your help is greatly appreciated, as we have several students to place with good host families! Exchange students can be a positive influence on your family, school, and community!
If you are interested and would like more information, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can give the exciting news to the student that their American dream is going to come true!

The project participants will be working on fixing and face-lifting the lighthouse and its closest surroundings: doing painting work, clearing and taking down some old fences, starting the reparation of the sheep pen, tearing down an old stable and laying the foundations for a new one. All around the world photographers are participating in photo marathons. A photo marathon is a competition, where the photographers are given certain topics to interpret within a time limit. This is a socio-cultural event that aims to promote the art of photography and bring together people with all kind of background and knowledge in that field. Anyone with an interest in photography can take part - beginners and experienced photographers.
The international volunteer team will help organizing this event. Following the photo Marathon, an exhibition will be opened with the most interesting photos.
We will help with the preparation of the Photo Marathon, hand out brochures and posters and help with the promotion of the activities. We will than help the participants during the Marathon and afterwards prepare the photo exhibition. A short course in photography will be offered to the volunteers, where they will have the opportunity to improve their skills to capture their memories in an unforgettable way. We will learn how to think about landscape photography from capture to finished image, your ability to create dramatic compositions will become more effortless and you'll learn about what might be holding you back from reaching your full potential as a photographer.
The project will be leaded by an experienced photographer. We will also do some environmental work in the area during the project, for example cleaning the coastline and working in the green areas.
Location: In Reykjavik you can easily feel the pure energy at the heart of Iceland‘s capital city - whether it springs from the underground boiling thermal energy or radiates from the green scenery surrounding the city. Think of the qualities of a great city - fun, space, clean air, nature, culture - and Reykjavik has them in spades. Reykjavik offers both the features of a modern and innovative society and the marvelous traits of a unique natural landscape.
The population of the Capital Area is about 200,000. It is spread across a peninsula offering a panoramic view of the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean from nearly every part of the city. drak@wrresources.org/ | Hello,

I wrote a book that I’m turning into an e-course then a physical product (audio CDs, book, workbook) to help people build self-worth and self-esteem in order to have good relationships with themselves, their family, friends, peers and a significant other, and to help them find purpose fulfillment in life. I need an experienced business person/partner who is willing to help me help others.

Looking for someone who can successfully plan and execute an internet campaign, an email campaign and write dynamic copy. I also want to enlist joint venture partners - website owners who have lists and are willing to promote this e-course (affiliates) and would like you to help find them.

This self-esteem building course is desperately needed by everyone from teens to seniors. It will help individuals develop a true sense of inner peace, which is the first step to curbing depression, anger, illnesses and violence, and increase good-will, connectedness and community with Self and among all. It will help people of all ages increase health and drastically cut down on the need for expensive medical intervention and dependency on prescription drugs.

I am seeking a true partner willing to dive right into this project to do what you are good at (the business end, marketing, sales, etc) while I work at what I am best at (helping individuals see the deeper underlying truths). If you don’t want to be a true partner, I will gladly accept the aid of someone who can offer help in any of the areas I mentioned. With the right partnership this project can really help others while providing you and me with sustainable income or better.

This e-course and physical course can be used by YMCA’s, high schools, colleges and universities, church groups, women’s shelters, divorce groups and forums, AA groups, online dating sites, single parents, artists, authors, actors; the list is only limited by our imagination because everyone can benefit by developing a deeper sense of self-worth, especially during the rapidly changing times we are living in today.

Please only contact me if you have the necessary skills, ideas to throw into the pot and are SERIOUS.

Check out my websites to learn more about me and my work.

We just moved into our new little community center in Oak Park, a few weeks back now where you guys can have your first meetings while in your beginning stages ... we'll also do your letters, flyers, and even a little website.

The best part is we provide it all FREE for supporting members of our association, and there are different levels of membership at which you can join.
Can't become a member right now? Come see us anyway... we'll still work with you to get things going. Who knows.... maybe after a few months of working with you, you'll come aboard. We're a volunteer organization serving new and up coming non-profits .., and no one with a vision gets turned away.

So drop us an email ... let us set aside a time-slot and space in our center for you and your group to meet in regularly (no matter how small you are). It provides independent housing, assisted living and complex care for elders. Haro Park supports the Eden philosophy and is committed to creating a human habitat where life revolves around close and continuing contact with plants, animals, children and youth. Haro Park Centre aims at establishing a homelike environment that emphasizes a quality of life supporting the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each person.
International group of volunteers will contribute to the quality of life of the elders by supporting them in a variety of therapeutic, social, and physical programs and special events. Activities include art, horticultural therapy, music therapy, exercise programs and seasonal/theme parties. Volunteers with musical interests are encouraged to bring their instrument. We also have several pianos on site.
International volunteers will work with residents in both one-to-one and group settings. There will be structured activities and a daily schedule of events but volunteers are also expected to be motivated, independent, and to make effective use of their unscheduled time. A typical day might include: making a collage, leading a discussion group, putting up party decorations, playing cards, and taking residents out for walks. Over the course of the summer there will also be various outings such as scenic drives, picnics, and visits to the aquarium and/or art gallery.
All volunteers are expected to be creative, flexible, respectful and responsive to the residents’ needs. The benefits to volunteering at Haro Park Centre are immeasurable. We are offering volunteers an amazing opportunity to develop relationships with interesting and loving seniors. The volunteers who have a person-centered approach to their volunteerism and who are looking for these personal connections are the ones that will benefit the most from this experience.
Location: Haro Park Centre is located in Downtown Vancouver, close to museums, theatre, art gallery, upscale shopping and Stanley park with its beaches and other attractions. Vancouver’s most popular shopping area – the trendy Robson street is just a block away. The centerpiece and green heart of Vancouver is Stanley Park, the city's most famous landmark, and one of the largest parks in any urban centre in North America.
There are wooded trails, open playing fields, secluded lakes, gorgeous gardens, and the Vancouver Aquarium, the largest in Canada. A seawall walkway meanders along the park's perimeter, with beautiful views of the city skyline, the harbour, beaches, and the spectacular North Shore Mountains. Vancouver's fame as one of the most beautiful cities in the world is tied to Stanley Park's popularity.
Age requirements: 19-30 years

More info, other projects and enrollment at: www.cadip.org/volunteer-in-canada.htm

phone: 604-628-7400 (Canada); 617-502-0400 (US) web: www.cadip.org

 | I am interested in volunteering in working in any type of an office (preferably HR related but not necessary) starting in June. The Youth House School is a small education center for disadvantaged street children and children coming from a poor fishing village, located in the outskirts of Hanoi. The international volunteers will help run the school and will be responsible for keeping the school clean, cooking free lunch for the children, and teaching them basic things about their countries, health, etc. The volunteers will also organize some leisure activities for youth after school. This is a time for cultural exchange and embracing new relationships. The international volunteers will work together with a team of local volunteers, led by a group leader. The volunteers will teach around 15 children every day. Remember, the children are not used to rules and structure in their households, so volunteers must try to implement this by setting an example. The Youth House is also a place where young local people and international volunteers come to explore the cultural diversity, by teaching the children together or organizing leisure activities, such as taking the children to the swimming pool.
These activities are combined with projects to help disadvantaged people at the Fisher Village, who are very poor and live in slum-boats on the Red river. This is done by giving them food, medicines, water filters (for clean drinking water), toothpaste, second-hand warm clothes and free showers in winter, etc.
The Red River is the biggest river in Vietnam. The delta is located in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The city continues to expand with many people coming from the countryside into the urban area. This however, is an expensive endeavor with the government imposing a tax on people coming from the rural area to prevent a massive influx of people. Some people decide however to come despite this financial situation and thus must live in house boats at the river to escape from having to pay. Since they do not technically live in Hanoi they must pay for school which is usually free until the age of 12. The entire family must work hours that most people would consider inhumane. The children wander the streets begging and collecting rubbish. An entire family barely makes $2 a day.

For more info and enrollment, please go to: www.cadip.org/volunteer-in-vietnam.htm

To learn more about the international volunteer workcamps go to: www.cadip.org/workcamp.htm or give us a call:
 617-502-0400

 604-628-7400

"Ayur" in Sanskrit means "life" and "Veda" means "science". It is a perfect Science of health and longevity. This holistic science is the knowledge of complete balance of the body, mind and spirit, including the emotions and psychology, on all levels. It includes in its consideration, longevity, rejuvenation and self-realization therapies through herbs, diet, exercise, yoga, massage, aromas, tantras, mantras, and meditation. According to Ayurvedic tradition, health is the balance of elements air, earth, fire, and water, and illness is an excess or deficiency of any particular element. Ayurveda treats illness at its source, rather than at the level of symptoms, and helps an individual to take responsibility for their own health and well being. Ayurveda is also known as 'Ashtanga Veda' (the word literally means 'Eight branches of knowledge') as it is divided into eight specialized branches.
Yoga is a complete science of life that originated in India several thousands of years ago. It is the oldest system of personal development in the world, encompassing the entire body, mind and spirit. It is the union between a person's own consciousness and the universal consciousness. The classical techniques of Yoga date back more than 5,000 years. The word Yoga means "to join or yoke together," and it brings the body and mind together into one harmonious experience.

International volunteers will be learning the Basics of Yoga and Ayurveda in these three weeks of the project. Every day, there will be topics covered by a professional master (the person in charge of yoga and ayurveda classes), which will be practiced by the volunteers. Yoga will be practiced every day.
Apart from this, the volunteers will also help at the herbal garden and the nearby school. I’m in the consciousness raising business, which really means helping people live from their hearts by healing old wounds, taking full responsibility for their physical health, emotional happiness and spiritual purpose fulfillment. I am an artist, author, human potential developer and inspirational motivator. I have so much to offer the world but I need someone who knows and loves the business end of things to help me serve the masses with my gifts and abilities at this critical time of need as the planet and humanity are going through such dramatic and rapid changes.

I've written and published two books, have built 3 websites and I have so many creative ideas flowing from my head constantly, but I feel like a butterfly banging against a glass door unable to get it out there no matter how many marketing/business seminars I attend. It’s a crime to let my gifts remain unused and undiscovered when so many people are looking for inner peace, to attract healthy, loving, lasting relationships and find purpose fulfillment and I KNOW HOW TO HELP THEM! But nobody knows I know because I can't afford to hire an expensive marketing team and there aren't enough hours in a day for me to do it all alone.

I want someone who has good business/marketing skills and can think outside the box who is willing to help me pull my work together in a focused direction and get it out to the world to help others. I believe in synergy and partnership.

If you feel you can help me or you know someone who can, I would truly appreciate you sending me an email and dialoguing with me about it. Or pass this post along to someone you know. I’m a very giving person. I am not expecting your time and energy for free, I'm hoping you have the same passion to serve others as I do and are willing to share in profits.

Although it remains among the most traditional areas of the country, it is also the poorest and less developed part in terms of infrastructure or industry; creating a huge rural exodus and migration from the Isan inhabitants to Bangkok. The Khueang Nai District administration wants to dynamize the Deng Mor rural areas and stimulate English learning through the international volunteers' presence. The main target group of the project will be young people and children. Inside this larger framework, each project will address the specific target group in different villages in the Deng Mor area.
Cultural exchange is the main work of the project. The volunteers will discover the typical Isan culture and traditions, visiting villagers, farmers and local artisans, helping them in their tasks. The volunteers will also hold English teaching workshops for the children of several district villages. The exact nature of the work will depend of the needs of the village at the time of the project.
Study theme: The volunteers will learn about the culture of rural Thailand in general and the traditions and specificity of the Isan region. Thai language lessons will also be given to the volunteers.
Special requirements: A correct level of English language and the will to teach it to kids is obviously necessary. The volunteers need also to be motivated to discover Thai culture and to present the one of their country of origin.
Leisure time: Leisure time will be organised by the volunteers with the support of the group leader.
