My name is Ashley. I am a 21 year old Army wife. I have no kids of my own yet, but I just adore children! I do however, have a 3 month old “furbaby” who is a Yorkie and is named Snickers. She is VERY friendly, and all the neighborhood kids love her! I have been babysitting since I was around the age of 13 years old. I have babysat newborns all the way up to 10 year olds. I have not only watched my little cousins, friends of the family, neighbors, and my little 15 month old niece, but I have also worked at a Sunday school where I watched infants and up, plus my senior year of high school I student teached at a kindergarten for a few hours a day twice a week. I understand that with children, patience and understanding is needed. I live in a smoke free home, that is very clean. Even though I live in an apartment, there will still be plenty of activities to keep your child/children entertained! Activities include: - swimming in the pool (with proper safety precautions of course, and if the weather permits) - water balloon fights (if the age and weather permits) - there is a playground to swing and have fun on - there is plenty of land to do outdoor activities on - there is also a lake off in the distance we could fish in (if your child is interested) - I love arts and crafts, so we will be doing these from time to time - …and anything else that you would like your child to do while in my care (ex.: practice abc’s, numbers, languages, ect.) I do not plan on having t.v.s or movies watching your child/children through out the day. Like I said, I love kids of all ages, and love playing/interacting with them! If old enough for solid foods, I will provide the child/children with meals and snacks. I will also have some toys they can play with. I do however ask that you bring: - a change of clothes and/or bathing suit (if swimming) - bottles and formula - diapers and wipes - …and anything else that your child will need I am available Monday-Friday from as early as 5AM (if needed earlier, that can be arranged) – til as late as 6PM (if some days needed a bit longer, that can be arranged as well). We had this problem with our daughter where her caregiver was under investigation and we did a background check and found nothing until she was prosecuted. So all of you who keep saying rude things about eachother, grow up. Not only do pictures not really tell much about someone, but saying things about them tells a lot about you. Also, if you are under investigation for anything, even IRS fraud, you need to check with the office in charge of the case and not police offices. If you have not been prosecuted, the police will have little to no record of anything unless a statement was taken down by a desk clerk and even then, they cannot release that information.]]>

I know for a fact that I can my mother is a foster mom and I am on her list for someone who can babysit her foster kids and take them temperarly for things such as her and my stepdad want to go out of town on a three or four day weekend and I had to go through the background check and paperwork through Kansas' foster care system for her to be on the list. I also used to babysit my friends son in home for her through social services. So I looked into it and you have to do so much!! Six week meal plans monthly visits. And how would you go about paying your taxes. I really wasn't looking to run a buisness out of my home! I am looking to start babysitting again so I can stay home and finish school. My daughter is in speech therapy so all children will benefit from the learning since I have material to go along with the therapist plans. We donot eat junk food unless special occasion(birthdays,easter etc.) but everyday we eat things healthy since my middle child has food allergies,but nothing creepy either. I cannot afford daycare for 4 children nor do I want to work away from home when I am in school. I was previously watching 2 children but since the mother wrote me a bounced check on top of leaving her children several times without letting me know where she was several hours past pick up time, I had to report her to DSS and go to court. I will NOT spank, if your child gets too out of hand it is corner time and a parent phone call. I do require you to sign an agreement that you pay in cash the week prior and write all information in case of emergency(insurance,birthday,allergies,contacts,work etc) to sit since I donot want to be in court again for bad checks and legally I am in need of this information. I want to know who I am watching and who are the parents and responsible people to pick them up. I do report to child services if any abuse is suspected with respect to asking you the purpose prior but if your child comes to me with bruises everywhere and hair pulled from her head YES I call dss and the local PD.(have done so).
