<![CDATA[I have not visited this church or even heard of it before i read the post on here. I just wanted to say that alot of new churches try to find a way to make it easier to meet people. Alot of churches call them disciple groups, d-groups, communitry groups. I'm sure they were just trying to be creative and they decided on "cells" Maybe that isn't the church for you. ]]>

<![CDATA[I visited the church many times and although every one is friendly, members took turns following my family around. I know it sounds weird, but after a few visits, it started to seem intrusive. They wanted to know ALL about us, and then began making "helpful comments and suggestions" as to where we should live, work, go to school, places we should avoid. They invited us to these "cell" meetings. My husband went to a cell, my son went to a teen cell, I went to a wives cell and we just started feeling real uncomfortable so we stopped going. Someone else who's leaving the church said one of the pastors, walked out on his wife several years ago leaving her with no money, and all the debt. No explanation. He just decided to marry someone else. This may be a good church for some people, but the congregation is a little TOO FRIENDLY, almost creepy, so we are looking for another church.]]>

<![CDATA[First of all you're right about the previous person not checking his/her spelling before posting a comment, but I can honestly say, Mana is not a cult. For goodness sakes, the ladies husband and son had a choice to join the "cell" groups on their own accord. So with that said, no one has pushed them into joining any kind of 'Cult'. Secondly, I personally see that Mana Church is a church who excepts anyone regardless of race, creed, or color, and again, isn't that what America is about? Those cell groups are put in place for everyone to find that specific group that fits their intrest, and can connect. If you have ever been to a large church as Mana is, you might find you can just become another number in the crowd, but with this church you are able to meet others and feel connected and then as you get to know each other, feel that you belong to the whole body of Christ. If you have gone to that church and feel uncomfortable with those your husband and son have become connected with, maybe you can start your own cell group and find a group of ladies that understand you and care for you. I honestly wouldn't think that they are there to get "all in your business", but to reach out to those who may not have a family life, or a place to belong. It's just funny to me to see you attack a place that wants to show they are there for you, not asking you for money to build a mansion of a sanctuary, or look down on you if you don't follow their standards and ways of thinking. God has given us the ability to show others love and to be loved. That's what Mana Church is and always will be. ]]>

<![CDATA[Manna literally saved my life. My kids love it and even my unsaved husband likes it. Many large churches operate on the "small cell" format. It makes it easier to get connected with people. Pastor Michael is hilarious, relevant, and spirit-filled. He leads by example. Leaders who make mistakes don't hide them. The congregation is diverse and supportive. There is a place for everyone. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the previous posting just wasn't an accurate depiction of the church I've known for the past six years. Manna Rocks!]]>

<![CDATA[I ahte to be difficult,but as a long term member of Manna you are sorely misled and the statements you have made are ridiculous. The cells you reference are small groups designed to help pepople meet others with the same interests, be it fishing, shooting, exercise, quilting and so on. we also have groups for those who are huerting, like divorce after care and healing formthe past not to mention prayer groups, home school support and so on. Infact htere are over 300 at last count. Why so many, because when you ahve 4500 member s and growing, we cannot reach every member on Sunday. The small groups allow like minded Christians to come together and minister to eachother just where they are. A cult NO WAY!! A LOVING CARING Institution ABSOLUTELY. I am sorry you feel the way you do, we love you anyway just as God does. After all he sent his only son Jesus Christ to die for your sins and forgives you for what you have said about these people. You obviuosel;y have a lot of hurt and I will prya for you and your family. ]]>

<![CDATA[Fayetteville's only roller derby team, the Rogue Roller Girls, beat the Ring City Roller Girls of Greensville NC. It was a fast paced, exciting bout, with all the thrills and excitement one would expect from a roller derby bout, with a tragic twist. One of the local teams newest players, West Coast, while taking a block, fell and broke her leg. But after the paramedics came and took her away, the game continues, and her team mates worked harder then before to secure a win in her honor. The final score was Rogue (Fayetteville) 110, Ring City (Greensville) 75. The Rogue Roller Girls have worked very hard this season and have won all but one of their bouts this year. They will go on to play Reedy River of Greenville South Carolina on May 4th.. Fayetteville, be proud of your girls on skates!]]>
