She is a (heinz 57) part shepherd, healer, not too sure since she was adopted at Special Pals about 6 years ago. She is incredibly sweet, house-broke, and VERY low maintenance. If you are looking for a great companion and have a fenced in yard, this is the dog for you. She is tough enough to bark and scare any unwanted guests at your door when she hears the doorbell but is gentle and subdued and honestly would not harm a fly (although she occasionally, unsuccessfully) tries to catch them. She is fabulous around children, my 3 year old niece/nephew twins poke and prod her with no response from her. She also grew up with a German Shep. and gets along well with other dogs. If you would like a trial run to see if she's a fit in your home that would be fine with me too. I just want to make sure she's happy wherever she goes..and if I was able to get email updates once in awhile about her..even better! Hope to hear from you soon! I was told he was vet cared for, UTD on his shots, etc...when we got him home he ate like he hadn't eaten in days and you could see his ribs, so we have been giving him unlimited food and water and treats as we spend more time with him. Bottom line is he is not gaining any weight and is trying to eat grass (which I have heard is bad)I have called numerous vets and they want an arm and a leg for a check up and shots. The officers loved Emily so much that they kept hanging on to her week after week hoping that someone would save her! How do you say no to this face?? Emily is a sweet, lovable, cuddley and gentle Shepherd mix. She is a 45 pound ball of love and would make a great companion!! When she looks at you, your heart will melt instantly. She has nothing but love to give & is quite the charmer with those soulful eyes of hers. She is not a fan of getting in or out of the car, but once she is in she enjoys the ride! Her previous mom has a ranch that Emily loved to run around on with the other dogs. Sophie had a couple of litters and the neighborhood would happily scoop up a puppy to take home, but never took Sophie home. The veternarian said he had a fractured arm and leg. I called around several places and they said it would run me from 3k to 5k to get surgery on him. <![CDATA[We rescued Sugar, an 8 yr old female boxer, from the Sugar Land Pound 2 yrs ago and we pretty much got a instant pet. She is house trained, leashed trained, doesn't make a peep inside unless she is trying to alarm you about something. Oh, and spayed. She's great around our 7 & 2 yr old boys. She is playful and a very loving dog. She is not cat friendly, she would need some gentle training with other dogs, must be introduced the correct way. She would be a great single companion. Although she is a 60 lb dog, she is very lovable. She needs a fenced in back yard to run around. We will be moving in a few weeks and can't take her with us. I can't stress enough how great of a dog she is. That's one of the reasons why the Sugar Land pound kept her longer than they were supposed to. She is heart worm negative. She is given a once a month Heartguard preventative chewable tablet, which she loves, and has no problem taking. I will include her bedding, a VERY large kennel to adjust new home and any food I have. She can be an outdoor or indoor dog. When we first got her, she stayed inside, now outside only. However, she does get spooked with heavy rain and thunder storms. As long as she has a place to crawl into, she is fine, inside closet preferred. In order to take her, I will need your name and address and Vet Clinic to where she will go for annual check-up. If you do not have a vet clinic, then Rose-Rich Vet is where she currently is seen also a transfer of ownership would be completed.
