This candidate would join a team of 2 senior design engineers, 1 engineering manager, 1 product manager, and 1 detailer/parts designer. My manager is looking for a machining center designer with at least 5 years of experience (can be a little less than 5 years if they’re mid-level). This person also needs to have knowledge and exposure to finite element analysis (FEA) and vibration analysis experience would be a plus, but is not mandatory. They also must have experience with Solid Works (a 3D software package). He would consider the resume of a candidate who has SolidEdge or ProE (other software packages) and would be able to tell in an interview if the candidate can pick things up quickly.
