<![CDATA[Daisie is a 2 1/2 year old blue heeler. She was housetrained, we have moved to an apartment so we can no longer keep her. She is a great dog and loves to be around you, and we hate to have to find her a new home but it is what is best for her :( . She is crate trained, and she is NOT destructive, as most of the breed can be. She is current on her vaccines (rabies, distemper, bordetella, lyme, and lepto), spayed, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention and flea prevention. She weighs about 40-45 pounds. I did work with her on obedience, so she does know sit, lay down, heel, and stay-but might need a refresher course with her new family. She does play ball, possible frisbee. I am asking $80 for her but she will come with her vaccine paperwork, tags, whatever food is left, collar, and leash. And I will also have her groomed before going to her new home!! And neither her food, Nor her bedding is very expensive either - WalMart has med. size bags of food for $5, And med. size bags of bedding for around $3. :) She will come home with you, In her own cage, with her food bowl, and water bottle (And whatever might be left of her little 'house') She is pretty friendly, WIll let you hold her, And enjoys being petted. <![CDATA[Hey everyone. =) I have 5 kittens I need to find homes for asap. Our next door neighbor got evicted, And left a Mother cat, And her 7 babies outside on her porch to die. I couldn't allow that to happen, So I've been feeding, watering, And loving these little furballs, But, I have 2 dogs, 3 children and a husband to take care of also, So my plate has become a little full. I am not sure of the age of these kittens - They are still pretty young, Although they are eating kitten food and drinking water. They all appear to be very healthy, And they're all playful, Not too worried about dogs, As I said, I have two. :) They are alright with small children, My 2 youngest (ages 1 1/2 and 3) are always carrying them around and petting them. (Another reason I need to find these little guys new homes, My babies just don't understand that you have to be gentle at all times) ....Anyway - Here is what I CAN tell you about them... 3 gray tabby like kittens 1 all black kitten. 1 gray tabby/calico kitten. Mom is a calico and we think Dad is a calico/tabby mix, But we aren't positive who the Daddy is. If you can find room in your heart and home for one of these little guys, I would appreciate it, and I know they would as well - And who knows, Maybe the kitten you pick, Will quickly become a new best friend! :) Mom is here too, If you are interested in her, I was going to try and keep her, But I haven't totally made up my mind yet. Being part Border Collie he is always looking for something to do. He spends all his time outside and while not lacking for food or water he desperately needs more social interaction than these people can give him. He has tons of potential and plays well with my dog. He needs a situation that will give him more of a pack atmosphere and human interaction. Some say boxer and some say plott hound? To us, it was all about personality! Lexus is shy, sweet and very laid back. She is attentive and listens very well. Our vet was very impressed with what a wonderful dog she truly is. She weights approximately 50lbs and the vet says she should weight around 60lbs. The stress of being a stray and then in the shelter was more than she could handle. Lexus is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, vaccinated including bordetella, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention and microchipped. We are a rescue organization and she does have a $150.00 adoption fee. Frankie is really good with small children and though he is a big boy, he does not knock them over. He lost his original home when his owner died of cancer. He has been through a lot of changes recently and he needs someone who is going to commit to him for the rest of his life. He is neutered, UTD on all vaccinations, microchipped, housebroken, and great with other dogs. He does need work on walking on a leash. However there are special collars and harnesses that are very humane and will help in this training. He already knows how to sit and do some other tricks. <![CDATA[Lexie is my fourth foster dog and so far, the one I love the most. I think she would have been my first 'foster failure' except she is super cat focused and I have two house cats. I've worked with her three months and her cat prey drive has not lessened, so she cannot go to a home with cats or other small mammals. Lexie was rescued by boat when Our Little Bit O' Heaven Rescue in Martinsville flooded in early June. I was there helping pull the dogs out after the shelter was cut off by flood waters. Lexie needed a place to go, so she came home with us. She just completed a 5 week obedience course and now has the basics of sit, down, heel and stay. She is also super easy to train and loves to learn tricks. We are working on roll over right now. Lexie is super fast and agile. I have had her on agility equipment and she took to it like a duck to water. She went over the A frame, through a tire jump and can sit and down on the dog walk. Lexie is crate trained and house broken. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard, or someone with access to a dog park as she needs to run and run for a few minutes every day. Then she is happy to just chill out. But, that running is very important to her. Potential adopters should have good dog training skills or be willing to learn. Between the trauma of the flood and what appears to have been an unhappy first year of her life, she can be fearful. She warms up slowly to new people and situations and she will need some work still to get her to the point where she will be comfortable in large crowds. She would not be a good candidate for a home with young children. She gets along with my dog, but if you have dogs, you would want to move slowly and not commit to adopting Lexie until you find out how she will do with your dogs. She is a truly happy dog who just wants a home to call her own. She has not had her own home for more than a year. <![CDATA[I have a sweet 3-legged cat named Angelina who needs a new owner. I am moving and cannot take her with me. She is about 3 or 4 years old. She is front declawed and one of her back legs was amputated so she MUST be an indoors cat. One of the positives is that she cannot jump up on your counters, furniture or the like. I prefer her to live with a mature person with no kids or other animals as she is a bit shy. She doesn't like a lot of noise. She does like to be held and petted. She is litter trained. There will be a rehoming/adoption fee of $65 to make sure she goes to a loving serious home. Angelina will bring roughly half a bag of food and litter, as well as her cat tower that's in the picture. <![CDATA[I have a (german) German Shepherd (completely black and full blooded) who is an absolutely wonderful dog. I am moving and cannot take her with me because of her breed type. I am looking to find her a home where she will be exercised daily but kept as an indoor dog. She has so much love to give...She is extremely protective of her owners and very loyal...here are a few Q&A's about her Do you have vet records for her or akc papers? I do not have records...the family that I adopted her from didn't have anything on her. She is AKC registered, however the owners I adopted her from did not have the papers to give me. When is she due for her next shots? She is due for her rabies shot at the end of September Has she been spayed? I adopted her about 3 months ago and she was pregnant...the owner did not want to care for her so I took her in...she had the puppies and now I just need to find her a good home. How does she let you know she needs to go out? She LOVES being outside...but she will jump around and let you know that she has to go out...she makes it very obvious :) Even if she doesn't have to go and you ask her if she needs to go out, she will get all excited just for someone to let her out in the yard to play :) How does she do with other dogs? I have never had a problem with her and other dogs...My neighbors across the street have two pitbulls in their fenced in yard. She will be in my front yard which does not have a fence and they will start barking at her and she'll act like they don't even exist...some dogs will get her attention and she will bark a little but that's about it...she never tries to do anything to them or run after them. Has she ever been around cats? She has been around cats...I have a cat here in the house and they get along...the cat gets kinda mood every once in a while and dislikes the dog...but the dog loves my cat to death...they do great together. How does she do with children? I have a daughter who will be 2 in september and she does wonderufl with her...never had a problem Is she food agressive? She is not aggressive with humans when it comes to her food but she is with other animals...nothing severe tho...if my cat walks up to her while she's eating, she will growl but thats it.
