<![CDATA[Liberty is a Shih Tzu that we rescued from a kill shelter. She has a sad story and has been through a lot but still has the best personality and is always happy. Liberty lost her left eye due to another dog attacking her while she was at the kill shelter. The left eye was removed and Liberty has adjusted very well to only have one eye. Once her hair grows back it will be hard to see that she is missing her left eye. Liberty's right eye has a cataract on it, but she can still see. She is approximately 9 to 10 yrs. of age, but she still loves to play and run around . She is very sweet and loves to get petted and attention. I have been potty training her and she is getting really good and she goes to the door and barks to go outside. She is not fixed. She has her shot records. A male Chocolate Lab and Weimaraner mix, Neutered, UTD on all shots (due again October '09), microchipped, liscenced, house trained, crate trained, healthy as a horse, loves kids, plays great with other dogs, cat savvy (wont chase unless they run), loves people and attention & loves to retrieve. He's heartworm - and on flea and heartworm prevention. Viper is seeking a VERY special home. Viper has the amazing ability to be able to smell your scent on things, for example sticks. We noticed his gift one night when he brought me a stick and I threw it out into the pitch black night, and about 5 mins later he returned with the exact same stick. He does this all the time now, and just loves to retrieve. He is VERY VERY VERY ball driven. He loves being praised, and especially loves treats. He is highly intelligent and knows a few commands(sit, down, paw, spin, speak). He walks well on a leash, and comes when called off leash. He can also do some agility obstacles like the tunnel, bar jump, and tire jump. He is still a puppy though and needs to be crated when you go to work. Viper needs a home where he can get most of the attention, and where he can use his intelligence on a daily basis! He needs a job to do basically!! He would love to work with you, and for you... and be your one and only true love pup!! We unfortunately cannot give him what he so desperately needs. <![CDATA[We have a 10 month old Mini Dachshund we need to rehome. She is special needs in that she has never fully understood housetraining. She does pretty well when she is in the house with you and you watch her constantly, but being enclosed in her crate or somewhere like a bathroom for any amount of time freaks her out and she almost always uses the bathroom there. She does great when she has a fenced in yard she can be let out into multiple times daily. She is up to date on shots, bordatella, frontline and heartgard, has been spayed. She takes daily vitamins for a possible zinc dificiency that has caused her to have thinning hair on the tip of her tail since birth, she has just started the vitamins 2 weeks ago and it is actually improving. She is also finishing up treatment for demodex, which caused a few additional small patches of hair loss but is improving as well and cannot be transferred to another animal. She gets along well with other dogs, she is a regular at Dogwood Park and loves everyone, big or small. She has never been around cats. She does great with children. She is a very sweet dog, wants nothing more than her toys and to be near you, however I can no longer deal with the house breaking issues without losing my mind or my husband, who is not overly fond of animals to start with. She needs someone who is home a lot, someone with a fenced in yard she can go out and enjoy for extended periods of time, and that we do not have. Recently since we moved she has been growling at our neighbors I guess because she can see them through the fence. Our last house had a privacy fence.
