I’ve had radio airplay with several of my compositions over the years, and I’ve written songs for many television shows. I write rock, country rock, ballads and a little blues. It doesn't matter how old you are or where you live. If you play the drums or keyboards really well, this might be a lot of fun. What I intend to do is put together a band who can each record their own parts in their own homes or studios and then send them on to the next musician for their contribution. We’ll figure out what is the best software to use once the band is members finalized. When we’ve got some tracks down and sounding right, we’ll put them up on I-tunes. I also have a couple of musical contacts that I will call upon when the time is right. Be in a great band and never have to leave your house. No drives to rehearsals. <![CDATA[Whats up fellow Knoxville musicians? Ive really been wanting to open an indie studio/record label out of the downtown area but i dont really know how to gauge business at all. So, i figured why not test the waters on CL first! I can record 16 channels independently LIVE. So i can record your band at a bar or something around here and then mix each instrument separately so it will sound damn near like a studio. Or if your band is into the studio thing i can do the same thing(acousticly treated room, enough room for whole band). Or, i can record track by track with overdubbing(method i use to make my own music). Pretty much limited to 16 seperate live channels and ~128 channels if overdubbing is used, so pretty much the sky is the limit. Equipment: 16 channel firewire 6 channel firewire 2 macbooks ableton 7 2x sets of studio monitors couple of synths/keyboards/pianos mic tubepreamp tons of plugins(komplete, izotope) a couple of nice mics drum set, guitars, basses bass/guitar amps/modelers As you can see the studio is plenty outfitted for most musicians in the market for local music production. For prices i cant really decide on what to do since music making is very elastic i dont want to do something that would turn some people off. For some people i would imagine it would be best to charge by the song, while others it would be better to charge by the hour. Im not sure, but it will be agreed on in a written document before anything happens. Just remember im just starting up so if you find a price just let me know what that price is and ill beat it. The music is Christian but not the Christian style you may be used to. We will NOT be playing in bars, except maybe the Prince Deli and others that are bar and grill type places that are "safe".
