This war in Iraq has gone on long enough. We went to Iraq got Saddam and freed the people of Iraq. Ok fine it was the right thing to do at the time. But now its time to bring the troops home. How many more American Soldiers have to die before it's all over. If the people of Iraq cannot take care of themselves on their own without U.S. protection, Then they deserve to live under another regime as Saddam's. If they let that happen it would only be their own fault not ours.

If Republicans get in the Presidency again in November. Then for sure this Country is going to go to Shit. Nothing will change things will get worse. Stop supporting in financing this war. Keep that money here. American people come first.

As for Hilary Clinton, sorry your not going to make the nomination for the Democratic Party. Your a better Candidate than Obama. You have the experience it would take to run this Country. There is an old adage that, for the most part, has proven itself to be true: "Birds of a feather flock together." In other words, one can discern much about a person by the company he or she keeps. Accordingly, here is a sample of the quirky company of Senator John McCain.

As Jerome Corsi recently reported, John McCain has long enjoyed sizeable funding from the ultraliberal gazillionaire George Soros, and from liberal Massachusetts Senator John Kerry's wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry. (See the report here)

Question: Why would ultraliberals such as Soros and Kerry give so much money to a "conservative" Republican? Answer: They know that McCain is anything but a conservative. In fact, McCain is so liberal, he actually discussed becoming John Kerry's Vice Presidential running mate on the Democratic ticket in 2004.

Dr. Corsi also reported the fact that McCain has chosen Juan Hernandez as his Hispanic outreach director. A former Mexican government official, Hernandez is a man who openly advances a "Mexico first" policy everywhere he goes.

Corsi wrote, "In an appearance on ABC's Nightline in 2001, Hernandez said, referring to Mexican immigrants in the U.S., 'I want the third generation, the seventh generation, I want them all to think "Mexico first.""' Neither John McCain nor any of his spokesmen have repudiated Hernandez' sentiments.

Is it any surprise, therefore, that John McCain has agreed to speak at the upcoming annual conference of La Raza ("The Race")? As most readers probably know, behind La Raza is a radical Hispanic group that advocates a militant "reconquista" of the Southwestern United States.

John McCain is also known to have surrounded himself with corporate lobbyists, who, for all intents and purposes, seek only the success of their international corporation employers, not any "conservative" principle.

Noted columnist Cliff Kincaid recently wrote, "Not all conservatives thought the [New York] Times was off-base in going after McCain's ties to lobbyists. These activists are angry that McCain is surrounded by lobbyists who put corporate interests ahead of conservative interests. They note, for example, that it has been impossible to get McCain to firmly commit to opposing the U.N.'s Law of the Sea Treaty. McCain has also indicated support for the International Criminal Court."

In addition, World Net Daily recently reported that McCain's family fortune (via his current wife) is tainted with connections to organized crime. The WND report begins by saying, "John McCain's personal fortune traces back to organized crime in Arizona, through his father-in-law, according to a report published by a multi-news agency team called Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc."

They've been beating, maiming, and killing innocent citizens in the streets, after lulling them from out of their cars, and even in their own homes with ruthless and deceitful tactics, practiced and rehearsed in training sessions and classes the older members teach. No, it isn't the bloods or the crips or some juvenile graffiti delinquents, it's the Las Vegas Metro Police department. And all across the land, other police departments want to be just like em'. As someone who has had received personal, permanent, injury (almost resulting in death) at the hands of Las Vegas police officers (over an incident which hardly necessitated the use of such violence), I try to pay attention to anything which is put out in the papers or on the news. Last night they announced on the news that the dozen or so cops that shot and killed an unarmed 50's something immigrant woman (on the ground after she had been tasered, in front of her 2 year old children [whom the police frisked for weapons?!]) would be a quitted, 'not guilty' is the verdict the judge gave, declaring the gun shots they fired into this helpless woman's lying body was necessary procedure in order for them to 'protect themselves'. The situation evolved over basically what was a dispute over a traffic violation, a broken tail light on the ice cream truck which her family uses to make a living. It's not so much a perceived threat that these 'officers of the law' are responding to when they elevate such a tame situation into something which can be declared 'violent and out of control', it's a perceived 'vulnerability and gullibility'. Apparently it's just like PT Barnum with these err... people, and 'a every minute a suckers born'. This is an exceptionally disturbing example because in this case, there were also multiple witnesses to the tactics with which these police officers killed that woman. Police claimed she had a knife (what, for scooping ice cream?) but people on the streets noticed no such knife, and in any case, what with all their armor and equipment, couldn't someone have simply grabbed her wrist? In this country, the original idea was for its citizens to be considered 'innocent until proven guilty in a court of law'. Not so these days. Seems more often than not, that its citizens are considered to be target practice! with the police officer's gun playing the role of judge and jury right there on the spot. 'Excuse me, I think I need to grab my barf bag officer, if that's alright with you.' Every time these officers do perform their shifts and work with other officers day to day, doing this, doing that, what do you think the message is that those other officers are going to receive? The message is that 'this officer has the ability to murder an innocent civilian and have it be considered legal in a court of law, I too am capable of this, we might come across a similar situation some time and have to do the same thing...etc.' Not too good for public morale there Mr. or Mrs. Judge 'Hasnospine', 'you're really doing a great job of sending out the proper message there, great way to make an example of those guys and not let them get away with it..cough cough...'barf bag please''.

IF YOU ARE EVER APPROACHED BY THE POLICE FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER (Especially if you are alone) BE AS COURTEOUS AS POSSIBLE, plenty of 'yes sirs, no sir, absolutely officer, hands up were you can see them, you got it' ARGUING WITH THEM ON ANY LEVEL CAN BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THEM. Even if the charge or violation seems ridiculous the best thing you can do is just accept the ticket or whatever and choose to contest the charges later on in court, I've done this 2 times before, once for a skateboarding ticket, and for a trespassing ticket I got for walking through an alleyway, both were thrown out later in court. IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT ( The 5th Amendment, i.e. 'I plead the 5th'). Sometimes, like in my recent situation where I was tasered a tremendous amount of times in our own garage (after my mom called the police telling them I needed help and was on drugs, basically an unwitting accomplice to their attempted murder), they will use conversation to lull you into a false sense of security. I wasn't acting out or being crazy before the cops tasered me, I was barefoot in my pajamas having a talk with them. I was never asked to turn around and be placed in handcuffs or to put my hands on my head, etc. nothing like that, They asked me a few questions about any medication I might be on, and after I answered 'no, none', the 2 cops both pulled out their tasers and let me have it, 3 full times in a row for a total of at least 6 combined shots, people , especially on some substance, have died from less than that.What else, if someone you know or love has issues with substance dependency CALLING THE POLICE SHOULD BE YOUR LAST RESORT, THEY AREN'T DOCTORS! Consider dropping them off at one of the free, state run, chemical rehabilitation facilities located in most major cities. Even if they are acting a bit irrational, you should consider 'any other alternative' if you can. In San Francisco, when someone is suicidal and standing on the Golden Gate Bridge, I hear the police actually try to grab you to keep you from jumping off, here in Las Vegas, a suicide response is referred to as a 'legal 2000' (though their use of it at times can hardly be considered legal)and the police basically take you to the hospital, thing is, they might add a few more reasons for you being there along the way, sad but true. Instead of saving your life, they might actually make it worse. Not to mention, the ease with which your situation can be misinterpreted, resulting in time spent in a mental asylum, different types of 'shock therapy', etc.

Be careful, and don't give them an opportunity to take advantage of you if you can. These streets aren't safe anymore and that's just the truth. 'Insert barfing sounds here'.

The Labor Department’s seven-year effort to improve financial reporting and disclosure by unions could come to a screeching halt once President Bush leaves office.

Sen. Barack Obama’s support for ending federal oversight of the Teamsters is the clearest indication yet of how a Democratic administration would treat labor unions.
<br>
<br>
Both Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton wooed the Teamsters in hopes of securing its coveted endorsement. But only Obama went so far as to say that government oversight had “run its course.” The union endorsed Obama in February.
<br>
<br>
Since then, Obama’s ties to Teamsters President James P. Hoffa have grown stronger. Hoffa has traveled with Obama on the campaign trail and acted as a surrogate on trade issues for the candidate.
<br>
<br>
History of Corruption
<br>
<br>
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has a history of corruption problems dating back to 1959, when the Landrum-Griffith Act created many of the financial reporting and disclosure requirements in law today. Within years of the act’s passage, Hoffa’s father was sparring with then-U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy over union corruption.
<br>
<br>
But it wasn’t until 1992 that the Department of Justice took the unprecedented step of creating a three-member independent review board to help the Teamsters root out its mob influence. When the younger Hoffa became president in 1999, he made it a priority to end the government’s oversight.
<br>
<br>
The Wall Street Journal, which first reported Obama’s promise to the Teamsters, notes that the review board’s caseload has declined over the years. Still, many problems remain with local Teamsters outfits, according to the Labor Department’s union enforcement agency.
<br>
<br>
In the last seven years, the Office of Labor-Management Standards has secured more than 30 convictions of Teamsters officials for crimes ranging from embezzlement and wire fraud to theft and falsifying union records.
<br>
<br>
Two former officers of Teamsters Local 743 in Illinois were convicted in March as part of a 14-count criminal complaint alleging conspiracy, mail fraud, theft and embezzlement. Another conviction in April involved a former bookkeeper charged with embezzling $140,000 from Houston’s Teamsters Local 19.
<br>
<br>
These types of cases aren’t limited to the Teamsters. The Labor Department’s enforcement agency has secured 900 indictments and successfully prosecuted more than 850 individuals since 2001. During that time the office has a recouped more than $103 million for American workers.
<br>
<br>
This wasn’t always the case. The number of employees working for the Office of Labor-Management Standards fell from 392 in 1992 to just 260 in 2002 after years of cuts by the Clinton administration. Fewer employees meant fewer audits -- forcing the office to rely more heavily on unions to police themselves.
<br>
<br>
Since taking office, Bush has restored many of the positions cut under Clinton to boost auditing and enforcement. As of 2006, there were 384 employees working for the office.
<br>
<br>
The lean Clinton years could return, however. While other offices at Labor last year reaped budget increases from the Democratic-controlled Congress, the enforcement office saw its budget cut by $3 million.
<br>
<br>
And that wasn’t all. Congressional leaders and their Big Labor allies also tried to water down financial reporting requirements. A dispute arose last year over the revised LM-30 form that requires union bosses to “disclose possible conflicts between personal interests and the officer’s or employee’s duty to the union and its members.”
<br>
<br>
The Labor Department revised the rule to give the union rank-and-file more information about how their dues were spent. But union leaders such as John Sweeney of the AFL-CIO denounced the new reporting requirements as a “debilitating burden.”
<br>
<br>
With promises from Obama to ease union oversight, and endorsements from congressional Democrats for the Employee Free Choice Act (H.R. 800), better known as the card check bill, Big Labor is salivating at the prospect of a return to “one-party government” in Washington next year.

I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.

It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
<br>
<br>
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.

This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.

Print story Email to a friend Font size:RICHMOND, Va., May 8 (UPI) -- U.S. immigration officials raided the construction site of a federal courthouse in Richmond, Va., Wednesday, arresting 33 workers on immigration violations.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Ernestine Fobbs said 29 men and four women were detained for further processing, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.
<br>

The detainees' native countries included Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Peru.
<br>

Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Tom Cunningham said state police assisted in the raid and supplied four troopers "to assist traffic flow as vehicles entered and exited."

ATLANTA -- Aake IDs federal grand jury has charged eight illegal immigrants with scheming to make and sell phony IDs, including Social Security cards and drivers licenses from multiple states, officials said Tuesday.
<br>
<br>
Five also were charged with aggravated identity theft.
<br>
<br>
The defendants allegedly used computers, laminating equipment and other supplies at several apartments in the Atlanta area to create the fraudulent documents, some of which were sold to confidential informants and an undercover federal agent, U.S. Attorney David Nahmias said.
<br>
<br>
Such identification is used by immigrants to remain in the U.S. illegally.
<br>
<br>
More than 70 documents contained Social Security numbers and alien registration numbers issued to other individuals, Nahmias said.
<br>
<br>
Charged with conspiracy were Francisco Santillan Arellano, 36, Gabriel Garcia Sanchez, 24, Luis Aguilar Romero, 29, Jose Luis Plata Silva, 52, Jose Rodriguez Rodriguez, 43, Francisco Hernandez Lopez, 24, Giobanny Trejo Gomez, 22, and Cesar Vazquez-Ventura, 38, all of metro Atlanta.

Santillan Arellano, Garcia Sanchez, Aguilar Romero, Trejo Gomez, and Vazquez Ventura are also charged with aggravated identity theft, and Santillan Arellano was charged with being an alien in possession of a firearm.

Guess it's time to disown Granny, if Obama's famous Philadelphia "race" speech is to be believed. Of course, the speech was not just believed. It was hailed, celebrated, canonized as the greatest pronouncement on race in America since Lincoln at Cooper Union. A New York Times columnist said it "should be required reading in classrooms across the country." College seniors and first-graders, suggested the excitable Chris Matthews.
<br>
<br>
Apparently there's been a curriculum change. On Tuesday, the good senator begged to extend and revise his previous remarks on race. Moral equivalence between Grandma and Wright is now, as the Nixon administration used to say, inoperative. Poor Geraldine Ferraro, thrice lashed by Obama in Philadelphia as the white equivalent of Wright's raving racism, is now off the hook.
<br>
<br>
These equivalences having been revealed as the cheap rhetorical tricks they always were, Obama has now decided that the man he simply could not banish because he had become part of Obama himself is, mirabile dictu, surgically excised.
<br>
<br>
At a news conference in North Carolina, Obama explained why he finally decided to do the deed. Apparently, Wright's latest comments -- Obama cited three in particular -- were so shockingly "divisive and destructive" that he had to renounce the man, not just the words.
<br>
<br>
What were Obama's three citations? Wright's claim that AIDS was invented by the U.S. government to commit genocide. His praise of Louis Farrakhan as a great man. And his blaming 9/11 on American "terrorism."
<br>
<br>
But these comments are not new. These were precisely the outrages that prompted the initial furor when the Wright tapes emerged seven weeks ago. Obama decided to cut off Wright not because Wright's words or character or views had suddenly changed. The only thing that changed was the venue in which Wright chose to display them -- live on national TV at the National Press Club. That unfortunate choice destroyed Obama's Philadelphia pretense that this "endless loop" of sermon excerpts being shown on "television sets and YouTube" had been taken out of context.
<br>
<br>
Obama's Philadelphia oration was an exercise in contextualization. In one particularly egregious play on white guilt, Obama had the audacity to suggest that whites should be ashamed they were ever surprised by Wright's remarks: "The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger in some of Reverend Wright's sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that the most segregated hour of American life occurs on Sunday morning."
<br>
<br>
That was then. On Tuesday, Obama declared that he himself was surprised at Wright's outrages. But hadn't Obama told us that surprise about Wright is a result of white ignorance of black churches brought on by America's history of segregated services? How then to explain Obama's own presumed ignorance? Surely he too was not sitting in those segregated white churches on those fateful Sundays when he conveniently missed all of Wright's racist rants.
<br>
<br>
Obama's turning surprise about Wright into something to be counted against whites -- one of the more clever devices in that shameful, brilliantly executed, 5,000-word intellectual fraud in Philadelphia -- now stands discredited by Obama's own admission of surprise. But Obama's liberal acolytes are not daunted. They were taken in by the first great statement on race: the Annunciation, the Chosen One comes to heal us in Philly. They now are taken in by the second: the Renunciation.
<br>
<br>
Obama's newest attempt to save himself after Wright's latest poisonous performance is now declared the new final word on the subject. Therefore, any future ads linking Obama and Wright are pre-emptively declared out of bounds, illegitimate, indeed "race-baiting"(New York Times editorial, April 30).
<br>
<br>
On what grounds? This 20-year association with Wright calls into question everything about Obama: his truthfulness in his serially adjusted stories of what he knew and when he knew it; his judgment in choosing as his mentor, pastor and great friend a man he just now realizes is a purveyor of racial hatred; and the central premise of his campaign, that he is the bringer of a "new politics," rising above the old Washington ways of expediency. It's hard to think of an act more blatantly expedient than renouncing Wright when his show, once done from the press club instead of the pulpit, could no longer be "contextualized" as something whites could not understand and only Obama could explain in all its complexity.

Turns out it was not that complex after all. Everyone understands it now. Even Obama.

Immigration: As some experts tell Congress to fight a possible recession with more immigrants, a respected economist warns that immigration’s costs are grossly underestimated — because the government won’t study them.
<br>
<br>
Set for release Tuesday is a report published by Social Contract magazine, "The Fiscal Impact of Immigration: An Analysis of the Costs to 15 Federal Departments and Agencies."
<br>
<br>
The 70-page study was conducted by Manhattan Institute adjunct fellow Edwin S. Rubenstein. As senior economist at W.R. Grace & Co. in the 1980s, he directed in-depth studies of government waste for the Grace Commission that sparked much popular outrage against Washington’s spendthrift habits.
<br>
<br>
Rubenstein found that each immigrant costs taxpayers more than $9,000, while every immigrant household of four costs $36,000 in taxes. That’s far more than the $3,408 in 2007 dollars the National Research Council’s 1997 "New Americans" study of federal, state and local government expenditures found immigrants to cost.
<br>
<br>
"The federal government has never produced a comprehensive study of this issue," Rubenstein noted. "Executive agencies are not required to do Fiscal Impact Statements for new immigration policies. Even the immigration reform legislation sent to Congress last year contained not one word on its potential budgetary consequences."
<br>
<br>
So Rubenstein looked across the government at departments and agencies that include Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Interior, Justice, Labor, HHS, HUD, Transportation, Treasury and the State Department, as well as Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.
<br>
<br>
His purpose was "to increase awareness — within the government and among citizens — of the myriad ways by which immigration increases the cost of government and how government policies increase immigration."
<br>
<br>
Looking at education alone, Rubenstein found that about "3.8 million public school students — 7.9% of total K to 12 enrollment — are enrolled in classes for English language learners," according to Department of Education statistics. These classes are significantly more expensive than mainstream English classes.
<br>
<br>
Personnel costs include specialized teachers who supplement instruction provided by the mainstream English teacher and professional development to strengthen the skills of teachers working with English language learners.
<br>
<br>
Rand Corp. researchers discovered back in 1981 that added costs for language assistance instruction ranged from $100 to $500 per pupil. Added to that are program administration costs, staff development and functions such as student identification and assessment.
<br>
Rand found that "the total additional per pupil costs for language assistance instruction was estimated to be in the range of … $460 to $1,600 in 2007 dollars," according to Rubenstein’s extrapolations, making "the total cost of providing English Language Learning instruction to the 3.8 million students enrolled in those programs … about $3.9 billion ($1,030 times 3.8 million)."
<br>
<br>
With more than 140 languages spoken in, for instance, Connecticut’s schools, bilingual education requirements for immigrants are on track to becoming a crippling unfunded mandate imposed on states and school districts.
<br>
<br>
Turning to the Department of Justice, the study found criminal aliens to be "an increasing burden on U.S. prison systems." In 1980, federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens, Rubenstein said. But at the end of 2004, about 267,000 noncitizens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities.
<br>
<br>
Of all prisoners in federal prisons, 27% are criminal aliens, he found, with a total cost of $1.5 billion. But that may be low-balling it. "A shortage of available prison capacity has forced federal authorities to release criminal aliens prematurely. Nationally an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes still walk the streets," he said.
<br>
<br>
On top of that are the private costs criminal aliens impose on their victims. Analyzing the rap sheets of 55,000 incarcerated illegal aliens in 2003, the Government Accountability Office found that the average criminal alien was arrested for 13 prior offenses, 12% of which were cases of murder, robbery, assault and sexually related crimes; only 21% were immigration offenses, the rest being felonies.
<br>
<br>
"The economic burden they impose on victims, including loss of income and property, uncompensated hospital bills, and emotional pain and suffering, has been estimated at $1.6 million per property and assault crime offender," Rubenstein found.
<br>
<br>
Washington has been paralyzed for many years on immigration policies because advocates of restricted immigration are routinely accused of nativism and racism.
<br>
<br>
Rubenstein’s groundbreaking study, of which the facts above offer only a taste, suggests that Washington doesn’t want to take a good look at the issue because the facts will spur the public to demand action to stop the hemorrhage of taxpayer money out-of-control immigration is causing.

Are you having a hard time paying your bills, making your mortgage payments or putting your kids through college? You need to know how much of your hard-earned income the government is skimming off and diverting into handouts to immigrants and illegal immigrants.

Because the U.S. has 37 million immigrants, legal and illegal, the national cost was more than $346 billion last year, which was twice our fiscal deficit. The cost of immigrants is so high because, as Rubenstein writes, "Immigrants are poorer, pay less tax and are more likely to receive public benefits than natives."

Big Brother hasn’t told you this bad news, perhaps because the government doesn’t want you to know why your paychecks are shortchanged. Even the huge amnesty bill that was defeated last year didn’t contain one word about its budgetary consequences.

The financial burden immigrants impose on education starts with the 3.8 million K-12 students enrolled in more expensive classes for the non-English speaking. When we add up the costs of hiring specialized teachers, training regular teachers, student identification and assessment, and administration costs, the total amounts to an estimated $1,030 per pupil, or $3.9 billion.

Of the 48.4 million public-school children, pre-K through 12th grade, 9.2 million or 19 percent are immigrants or the children of immigrants. In the next few years, immigration will account for virtually all the increase in public-school spending.
<br>
<br>
Look at the $1.5 billion cost of incarcerating 267,000 criminal aliens in federal prisons. That’s not the worst of it; prison capacity is limited, so 80,000 to 100,000 other criminal aliens have been prematurely released to prowl our streets.
<br>
<br>
Criminals also impose heavy private costs on their victims. Rubenstein estimates the losses of income and property, hospital bills and emotional suffering at $1.6 million per assault or property-crime offender.
<br>
<br>
Rubenstein’s report includes all sorts of costs that other observers conveniently ignore, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit. EITC gives an average cash payment of $1,700 per year to 25 percent of immigrant households.
<br>
The emergency medical treatment given free to illegal immigrants is another enormous cost, causing some hospitals and emergency rooms to close. Emergency means any complaint from hangovers to hangnails, gunshot wounds to AIDS.
<br>
<br>
Even after some restrictions were imposed in 1996, 24.2 percent of immigrant households receive Medicaid, whereas the figure for native-born Americans is 14.8 percent. Rubenstein calculates that Hispanics account for 19.2 percent of Medicaid enrollment, while they are 13.7 percent of the U.S. population.
<br>
<br>
The FHA has had a policy of increasing home ownership among low-income immigrants and, therefore, approved FHA mortgages on homes with a down payment of only $200 to $300 and marginal income. Because buyers have so little invested in the house, they can walk away from it when they can’t meet the payments, and this has resulted in neighborhoods of abandoned, boarded-up housing.
<br>
<br>
Refugees are a large and growing fiscal burden because they become immediately eligible for generous taxpayer-paid benefits. Evidence shows they stay dependent on these programs and start chain migrating relatives under the "family reunification" law.
<br>
<br>
The Interior Department spends millions of dollars to clean up the mountains of trash discarded by illegal immigrants crossing into California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

<br>
Some immigration advocates peddle the notion that immigration will solve the future financial burdens of Social Security. Rubenstein shows how foolish is this prediction because today’s low-wage workers will surely become tomorrow’s expensive retirees.

Hard Times at the Golden Door

In these tough economic times, millions of Latino immigrants have stopped sending money to their home countries, according to a survey released Wednesday. That is bad news for a lot of people.
<br>
<br>
The survey, by the Inter-American Development Bank, found that only half of 18.9 million Latino immigrants in the United States send money to relatives abroad. Two years ago, 73 percent did. Some countries saw remittances fall after years of growth: money wired to Mexico declined nearly 3 percent for the first three months of this year from the same period last year, the first drop since Mexico started tracking transfers in 1995.
<br>
<br>
The survey found that the sagging economy and loss of low-wage jobs were mostly to blame, particularly the downturn in the housing industry, but that crackdowns on illegal immigration also played a role.
<br>
<br>
The report was full of bad news for immigrants, legal and not. Of the 5,000 Latinos surveyed — about half citizens and legal residents, and half undocumented immigrants — 81 percent said it was harder to find a good-paying job, and just under a third said they were thinking of leaving the country.
<br>
<br>
There are people on the restrictionist side of the immigration debate who will cheer the news, arguing for more of whatever is causing it. Thanks to people like them, the nation’s de facto immigration policy is to try to make life untenable for illegal immigrants, elevating their fear to shake them loose from the United States.

Nobody should think of the decline in remittances, however, as anything but unfortunate. Immigrant workers are not just vital to the American economy, their money transfers are a critical bulwark against poverty for millions of people south of the border. Cutting off that lifeline will lead to more misery in some of the poorest parts of the hemisphere — and it will feed the desperation that sends more migrants to the United States.

If there was anything encouraging in the survey, it was the reaffirmation that immigrants, ever resourceful, are also fundamentally hopeful. Many reported in focus groups that they were ready to take lower-paying work or extra jobs to make ends meet. While almost 40 percent said they had seen their incomes fall, 69 percent said that their financial situations were "good" or "excellent" compared with life back home.
<br>

Tough enforcement may succeed in cutting off opportunity so severely that even some of these hard-working optimists uproot themselves and return home in search of a better life. But if that happens, those exiles may well pass a stream of compatriots heading north for the same reason.

So Rubenstein looked across the government at departments and agencies that include Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Interior, Justice, Labor, HHS, HUD, Transportation, Treasury and the State Department, as well as Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.

His purpose was "to increase awareness — within the government and among citizens — of the myriad ways by which immigration increases the cost of government and how government policies increase immigration."
<br>
<br>
Looking at education alone, Rubenstein found that about "3.8 million public school students — 7.9% of total K to 12 enrollment — are enrolled in classes for English language learners," according to Department of Education statistics. These classes are significantly more expensive than mainstream English classes.
<br>
<br>
Personnel costs include specialized teachers who supplement instruction provided by the mainstream English teacher and professional development to strengthen the skills of teachers working with English language learners.
<br>
<br>
Rand Corp. researchers discovered back in 1981 that added costs for language assistance instruction ranged from $100 to $500 per pupil. Added to that are program administration costs, staff development and functions such as student identification and assessment.
<br>
Rand found that "the total additional per pupil costs for language assistance instruction was estimated to be in the range of … $460 to $1,600 in 2007 dollars," according to Rubenstein’s extrapolations, making "the total cost of providing English Language Learning instruction to the 3.8 million students enrolled in those programs … about $3.9 billion ($1,030 times 3.8 million)."

With more than 140 languages spoken in, for instance, Connecticut’s schools, bilingual education requirements for immigrants are on track to becoming a crippling unfunded mandate imposed on states and school districts.
<br>
<br>
Turning to the Department of Justice, the study found criminal aliens to be "an increasing burden on U.S. prison systems." In 1980, federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens, Rubenstein said. But at the end of 2004, about 267,000 noncitizens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities.
<br>
<br>
Of all prisoners in federal prisons, 27% are criminal aliens, he found, with a total cost of $1.5 billion. But that may be low-balling it. "A shortage of available prison capacity has forced federal authorities to release criminal aliens prematurely. Nationally an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes still walk the streets," he said.

On top of that are the private costs criminal aliens impose on their victims. Analyzing the rap sheets of 55,000 incarcerated illegal aliens in 2003, the Government Accountability Office found that the average criminal alien was arrested for 13 prior offenses, 12% of which were cases of murder, robbery, assault and sexually related crimes; only 21% were immigration offenses, the rest being felonies.

"The economic burden they impose on victims, including loss of income and property, uncompensated hospital bills, and emotional pain and suffering, has been estimated at $1.6 million per property and assault crime offender," Rubenstein found.
<br>
<br>
Washington has been paralyzed for many years on immigration policies because advocates of restricted immigration are routinely accused of nativism and racism.
<br>
<br>
Rubenstein’s groundbreaking study, of which the facts above offer only a taste, suggests that Washington doesn’t want to take a good look at the issue because the facts will spur the public to demand action to stop the hemorrhage of taxpayer money out-of-control immigration is causing.

You can read the depressing details in the new 70-page document called “The Economic and Fiscal Impact of Immigration” by Edwin S. Rubenstein. A Manhattan Institute adjunct fellow with a mile-long scholarly resume, he has been doing financial analysis ever since he directed the studies of government waste for the Grace Commission of 1984.

The bottom line, which you need to know for your own bottom line, is that U.S. taxpayers are giving more than $9,000 a year in cash or benefits to each immigrant, a third of whom are in the country illegally. That’s $36,000 for each immigrant household of four.

Because the U.S. has 37 million immigrants, legal and illegal, the national cost was more than $346 billion last year, which was twice our fiscal deficit. The cost of immigrants is so high because, as Rubenstein writes, “Immigrants are poorer, pay less tax and are more likely to receive public benefits than natives.”
<br>

Big Brother hasn’t told you this bad news, perhaps because the government doesn’t want you to know why your paychecks are shortchanged. Even the huge amnesty bill that was defeated last year didn’t contain one word about its budgetary consequences.
<br>
<br>
The financial burden immigrants impose on education starts with the 3.8 million K-12 students enrolled in more expensive classes for the non-English speaking. When we add up the costs of hiring specialized teachers, training regular teachers, student identification and assessment, and administration costs, the total amounts to an estimated $1,030 per pupil, or $3.9 billion.
<br>
<br>
Of the 48.4 million public-school children, pre-K through 12th grade, 9.2 million or 19 percent are immigrants or the children of immigrants. In the next few years, immigration will account for virtually all the increase in public-school spending.
<br>
<br>
Look at the $1.5 billion cost of incarcerating 267,000 criminal aliens in federal prisons. That’s not the worst of it; prison capacity is limited, so 80,000 to 100,000 other criminal aliens have been prematurely released to prowl our streets.
<br>
<br>
Criminals also impose heavy private costs on their victims. Rubenstein estimates the losses of income and property, hospital bills and emotional suffering at $1.6 million per assault or property-crime offender.
<br>
<br>
Rubenstein’s report includes all sorts of costs that other observers conveniently ignore, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit. EITC gives an average cash payment of $1,700 per year to 25 percent of immigrant households.
<br>
The emergency medical treatment given free to illegal immigrants is another enormous cost, causing some hospitals and emergency rooms to close. Emergency means any complaint from hangovers to hangnails, gunshot wounds to AIDS.
<br>
<br>
Even after some restrictions were imposed in 1996, 24.2 percent of immigrant households receive Medicaid, whereas the figure for native-born Americans is 14.8 percent. Rubenstein calculates that Hispanics account for 19.2 percent of Medicaid enrollment, while they are 13.7 percent of the U.S. population.
<br>
<br>
The FHA has had a policy of increasing home ownership among low-income immigrants and, therefore, approved FHA mortgages on homes with a down payment of only $200 to $300 and marginal income. Because buyers have so little invested in the house, they can walk away from it when they can’t meet the payments, and this has resulted in neighborhoods of abandoned, boarded-up housing.
<br>

Refugees are a large and growing fiscal burden because they become immediately eligible for generous taxpayer-paid benefits. Evidence shows they stay dependent on these programs and start chain migrating relatives under the “family reunification” law.
<br>
<br>
The Interior Department spends millions of dollars to clean up the mountains of trash discarded by illegal immigrants crossing into California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

<br>
Some immigration advocates peddle the notion that immigration will solve the future financial burdens of Social Security. Rubenstein shows how foolish is this prediction because today’s low-wage workers will surely become tomorrow’s expensive retirees.

In these tough economic times, millions of Latino immigrants have stopped sending money to their home countries, according to a survey released Wednesday. That is bad news for a lot of people.
<br>
The survey, by the Inter-American Development Bank, found that only half of 18.9 million Latino immigrants in the United States send money to relatives abroad. Two years ago, 73 percent did. Some countries saw remittances fall after years of growth: money wired to Mexico declined nearly 3 percent for the first three months of this year from the same period last year, the first drop since Mexico started tracking transfers in 1995.
<br>
The survey found that the sagging economy and loss of low-wage jobs were mostly to blame, particularly the downturn in the housing industry, but that crackdowns on illegal immigration also played a role.
<br>
The report was full of bad news for immigrants, legal and not. Of the 5,000 Latinos surveyed — about half citizens and legal residents, and half undocumented immigrants — 81 percent said it was harder to find a good-paying job, and just under a third said they were thinking of leaving the country.
<br>
There are people on the restrictionist side of the immigration debate who will cheer the news, arguing for more of whatever is causing it. Thanks to people like them, the nation’s de facto immigration policy is to try to make life untenable for illegal immigrants, elevating their fear to shake them loose from the United States.

Nobody should think of the decline in remittances, however, as anything but unfortunate. Immigrant workers are not just vital to the American economy, their money transfers are a critical bulwark against poverty for millions of people south of the border. Cutting off that lifeline will lead to more misery in some of the poorest parts of the hemisphere — and it will feed the desperation that sends more migrants to the United States.

If there was anything encouraging in the survey, it was the reaffirmation that immigrants, ever resourceful, are also fundamentally hopeful. Many reported in focus groups that they were ready to take lower-paying work or extra jobs to make ends meet. While almost 40 percent said they had seen their incomes fall, 69 percent said that their financial situations were “good” or “excellent” compared with life back home.

Tough enforcement may succeed in cutting off opportunity so severely that even some of these hard-working optimists uproot themselves and return home in search of a better life. But if that happens, those exiles may well pass a stream of compatriots heading north for the same reason.

In the last election 85% of the people in Congress got to keep their $14,108 a month jobs (which includes a $4,100 raise they just gave themselves!) despite the fact that it was the worst, do-nothing Congress in history and the bulk of them were responsible for authorizing the wars we're in and everything else that has massively eroded our standard of living, security and of course our liberties and freedoms since 9-11. They ALL took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. They did not take an oath to defend and protect their political party and the interests of transnational corporations and cartels.
<br>
<br>
What would you do if you owned a company and none of your employees listened to you, they lied to you, didn't do the jobs you gave them to do, and in fact, were actually working for your competition and selling your company down the river as fast as they could? I don't think you'd keep them on and give them a raise!
<br>
<br>
Well, that's exactly what we've been doing, only in this case, your company is our Federal Government, and your employees are the 435 members in the House of Representatives and the 100 members of the Senate, virtually all of them working for the transnational corporations (the competition) and they are engaged in a massive hostile takeover of our government on every level.
<br>
<br>
What the heck happened to that thing called "the wisdom of the American people?" You don't reward employees that betray you. YOU FIRE THEM! It's the most obvious and immediate remedy. And you don't worry that their replacement may turn out to be as bad. In fact, it's much less likely the replacements will be as bad when they know you will not tolerate such things, that you will not hesitate to fire anyone that lies and betrays your trust. Employees are far more likely to toe the line and actually do their jobs as best they can when they know they can't get away with anything less.
<br>
<br>
Of course, no analogy is perfect. This one breaks down in the sense that a company couldn't actually fire everyone all at once unless the entire company shut down. Lucky for us, our Congress isn't engaged in actually producing goods or services (the bureaucracies Congress has set up handle all government services). All Congress does is enact laws and authorize spending. It's just the legislative branch of government. We could easily go without any new laws authored by "corporate/special interest" for quite some time. So in this case, firing a large number of traitorous Congressional employees is imminently doable and quite frankly is the only thing we can do to slam the brakes on the corporate driven freight train that is railroading all of us into a nation ruled by corporate colonialism.
<br>
<br>
There are people we have elected to Congress who have been there 10, 20, 30, 40, even over 50 years! Our Congress has been betraying our trust and selling us out for generations. They not only suffer no consequences for what they've done; they've benefited greatly from their wheeling and dealing. They take an oath to protect our best interests and defend our rights as guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and yet they make a mockery of that oath.
<br>
<br>
Republicans and Democrats take the exact same oath of office and very few of them take it seriously.
<br>
<br>
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

There is a very good reason we make them all take this oath. Strict adherence to the Constitution is the ONLY thing that makes it a LOT harder for those with the most wealth to seize the powers of government and use it for their own selfish purposes. Our Congress has totally abdicated their responsibilities and handed the powers of government over to corporate interests that have absolutely no allegiance to this nation, to the Constitution, and certainly not to playing fair. Both major political parties are complicit. They have shredded the Constitution and Bill of Rights and are about to blow the Constitutional Confetti into the air as they celebrate "closing the deal" with their "real employers," the transnational corporate interests that have orchestrated the whole mess.
<br>
<br>
The dominant ideologies of the most destructive and powerful transnational corporations are predatory and tyrannical in nature. The notion that they are even remotely interested in such things as "free trade," or democracy flies in the face of basic common sense. The corporations wreaking the most havoc on this planet, the central banks, the military, medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and energy industrial complexes, have set up monopolies and cartels by using the powers of government to legislate and regulate the industries they wish to control. The people inclined to abuse their wealth and power do what they always have done throughout history. They TAKE the most, give the least, and don't give a damn about the rest of humanity.
<br>

There is a mountain of evidence, a small fraction of it is posted on this web site, to prove that powerful transnational corporations, through their control of our election process, the legislative powers of government, the courts, the international treaty process, the world's currencies and of course, virtually total control of our mainstream media, have just about totally taken over our country. If we don't take control of Congress away from them, and fast, by a massive act of civil disobedience like this project is proposing (by not voting the way they want us to), we are simply not going to survive as a nation much longer the way things are going.

Our political system is supposed to be set up to allow us to elect representatives that will look out for our best interests and defend against the inevitable tendency of those with the most wealth and power to exploit their advantage over the rest of us. One look at the current state of politics in this country and its? pretty obvious the inevitable has happened, so much so that those with the most wealth and power have literally taken control of our entire government and political process.

They have distorted the purpose of elections from a way to choose worthy representatives into a big sporting event to determine which of the two dominate political parties will control the purse strings in Congress. They have successfully conned everyone into believing that the whole point is whether or not your 'party' wins. It?s become nothing more than another big American sporting event. If you doubt it, just imagine what a crowd screaming and yelling at a football game looks like and what a crowd at a major political convention looks like. They may be dressed a bit better at the convention, but there?s not much difference in the way they act. And when the game is over, all we really get is to feel we either won or lost. And really, nowadays, even the winning team starts to feel they actually lost as well. When Congress resumes business, we see that absolutely nothing of consequence has changed for the people controlling the game.

For many, there is nothing more important than winning, getting 'their party's people' into office, regardless of whether or not those people are actually going to be the best people we can find. In fact, we know most all the people we get to choose from have sold us out long before they ended up on the ballots. We know full well we never get anything but a pile of opportunists and we get to pick the least bad choice. Virtually all of them have been completely groomed to make sure business as usual continues in government. They are primarily career politicians that know full well ?we the people? have very little to do with who gets elected.

I mean really people! How many of you can look anyone in the eye, and with a straight face, tell them that out of over 300 million people in this country, out of all the good, honorable, intelligent people we have here, the best people we can come up with to represent us is the lot that are trotted out for us to pick from? This has been going on for so long now that entire generations actually think this is the way politics is supposed to work.

Well, I?m here to tell you this is not supposed to be the way it works! If we don?t shatter this left/right contrivance that only serves the interest of those with the most wealth and power, we are not going to survive as a nation much longer. This left/right paradigm does nothing more than facilitate the tried and true method of divide and conquer the ruling class has used throughout history. It works. It?s the easiest way to appropriate most of the wealth and power for themselves, while we?re all bickering and fighting over nonsense. They literally see us as the stupid masses, nothing more than sheeple. And it?s sad to say; we act like it most of the time.

I personally don?t care what party a person belongs to. I only care if they are interested in honoring their oath to defend and protect my best interests, this country and the Constitution. I?m only interested in if they can speak candidly and honestly. I only care if they are willing to eliminate corruption on all levels and enforce the rule of law. Right now, we primarily have a bunch of liars, cheats and political opportunists that see serving in public office is a sure way to wealth and power. Right now, the people supposed to be representing US are selling us out at every turn. They are supposed to be ?public servants? not ?officials? that can simply write laws that make all their criminal activity and their masters criminal activity legal! By continuing to go along with party politics at this point will only ensure that we continue to have criminals and professional liars at the helm of our government.

Our allegiance should be to each other and this country, not political parties. Allegiance to political parties leads to what we have now, blind support for the pile of criminals, on both sides. Supporting people unworthy of support simply because you don?t want your party to loose is absolutely insane. It?s the behavior of the stupid masses. We really need to snap out of this contrived left/right conflict and start being much more concerned about what?s best for this country, what?s best for all of us. The first step should be to take a big step back and look at what we are doing and how we are being played for fools.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
<br>

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code. Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy.Congress does.
<br>

You and I don't control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does.
<br>
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 300 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton- picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

A CONFIDENCE CONSPIRACY

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
<br>

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a SPEAKER, who stood up and criticized G.W. Bush ALONE for creating deficits.
<br>
<br>
The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
<br>
<br>
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.
<br>
<br>
<br>
Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto.
<br>
<br>
REPLACE THE SCOUNDRELS

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense overruns, that is not traceable directly to those 545people.
<br>
<br>
When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
<br>
<br>
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ.
<br>
<br>
There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
<br>
<br>
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
<br>
<br>
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They and they alone, have the power. They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees. We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess.

I’m going to assume you’re reading this because the basic idea sounds pretty darn good to you. It just has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? Kick Them All Out! The fact of the matter is, our political system is supposed to be set up to allow us to do just that if the people we hire are not doing the job we hire them to do, which is to look out for OUR best interests. Since we see that virtually every politician is primarily engaged in doing the bidding of special interest groups and the expense of the rest of us, it’s only natural we would feel the best and only solution would be to fire every last one of them.

<br>
So the first real question we should be asking is why don’t we do it? If we don’t do something to exert more power over our representatives than the special interest groups, then we will never have a truly representative government. So the first order of business is to identify why these groups are allowed to have so much influence and understand the legal mechanism they use to let them get away with it. Until we understand what these people are doing and how they are doing it, we can’t stop it. So that’s what this project is all about. It’s really about standing up and telling these people “you don’t get to do this anymore.” And in order to do that, we need to know exactly what it is that we are not going to allow them to do.

People inclined to abuse their power almost always do it with the same old technique of lies and deception. In this case, the dirty little secret about why corporations are allowed to directly interfere with our government is simply because they exploited a loophole they placed in the Constitution. Yes, the Constitution! Once that loophole was in place, they did what they always do. They used their wealth to hammer away in court with lies and deception aimed at getting the judicial system to award their corporations constitutional human rights protections, protections that were only intended for living, breathing human beings.

Over 120 years ago the most powerful corporations (railroads) saw their big chance to eliminate undesirable constraints the government imposed on them by planting a loophole in the Fourteenth Amendment, which was written to give equal rights to former slaves.
<br>
<br>
In legal descriptions, corporations are known as “artificial persons” and human beings are known as “natural persons.” When the 14th Amendment was written, it didn’t refer to the humans it was intended for by the proper terms “natural persons.” It was written using only the word “persons.”
<br>
<br>
When you look more closely at what happened you discover that by some strange coincidence, two ex-railroad attorneys were appointed to the committee that wrote the Fourteenth Amendment. I don’t think it’s a big stretch to imagine that this term “persons’ was intentionally chosen for exploitation down the road.
<br>
<br>
If you know anything about the law, you know that language is everything. The precision of language is the whole point of legal documents. Therefore, we should not see it as mere coincidence that a legal document as important as an amendment to the Constitution uses language that leaves room for such specific ambiguity. Evidence of this consciously manipulative and subversive act lies in the fact that virtually all the litigation citing the Fourteenth Amendment as a defense was brought by corporations, not former slaves, after the Amendment was officially adopted.

<br>
Section. 1. ALL PERSONS born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

No honest person, attorney or judge would affirm that the Fourteenth Amendment was intended to protect “artificial corporate persons.” This specific wording was a deliberate act designed to allow the wealthiest people, through corporations, to manipulate our legal system into affirming the Fourteenth Amendment should apply to them, the argument being that they are a person, artificial or not, and as such should be awarded the same constitutional protections as any other person. Long-story-short, they literally stole human rights protections and conned us all into believing it’s just the way things should be.

<br>
Now this event may seem like no big deal, and for certain, this is what those who committed this crime back in 1866 want us to believe. But this act should be seen for what it is . . . a treasonous act which subverts the Constitution of the United States for personal gain. Every corporate officer and attorney that has exploited this loophole and any judge that has affirmed this distortion of intent has taken part in this subversion whether they know it or not. By exploiting this little word “persons” and finding judges that would go along with it, “artificial corporate entities” have been given all the same protections as any “real person,” including freedom of speech, the primary protection that legally allows them to directly lobby and manipulate the legislation and policies issued by OUR representatives, OUR government!

This was a carefully orchestrated conspiracy that continues today in order for the wealthiest people to escape the constraints that were originally put on their corporations to prevent them doing exactly what they’ve done: abuse their wealth and power to corrupt everything in their path. They have been allowed to rampage the halls of Congress for that last 120 years because of the manipulation of one little word, placed in one little sentence, in one critical legal document. They then rammed it home through the relentless litigation required to turn it into common law. It’s one of the worst examples of how those with money and power twist legal conventions into the form that allows them to legally do whatever arguably criminal activity they want.

The good news is that we can do something about it! The only reason it has been allowed to continue is because none of us knew about it. Now that we do, we just need to demand legislation be written to revoke human rights protections for corporations and overturn any judgments to the contrary in the piles of case law on the books. Until that happens, we can’t legally kick out the corporate lobbyists. So, first things first is what I say!

How do we accomplish this? Sitting politicians, ALL bought and paid for by corporate special interest money (Note: the same groups fund both parties) certainly won’t lift a finger. So, nothing is going to happen unless WE MAKE IT HAPPEN. Since the only tool we have to effect change in our government is our vote, we simply have to use our vote in a way that none of us have ever used it before. We have to stop using our vote the way the politicians have conditioned us to use it. We have to use our vote for OUR PURPOSES, which would be to kick out every single person in the House of Representative and 1/3 of the Senate in one-fell-swoop! We need to tip | | |
