I am college educated with a degree in psychology, so I understand child development, and of course, I love children. I can provide a safe, Christian setting in a large house in a safe neighborhood. We have age-appropriate toys and equipment, a large play structure in the back yard, and will provide all food (except for formula). I offer a structured program that focuses on love, attention, safety, and development. Some key features of my program are: --An emphasis on routines, e.g. meals, sleeping, play --Both structured and free play (especially for toddlers and Pre-K) --Books and stories --Music time --Arts and crafts --Verbal development (including the teaching BabySigns if desired) --Exposure to numbers and letters (as age appropriate) I have both full-time and part-time openings! School is approaching so I don't know how long I'll have openings. I am willing to be flexible with times. If you need just mornings, just afternoons, or just a few days a week, that is fine! My full-time rates are $150 for anyone under 2, and $135 per week for anyone 2 and over. If you want to place two children with me, the older child will receive a 15% discount. For part-time, my daily rates are $40 per day for under two and $35 for 2 and over. If you simply can’t afford that, I’m willing to listen to any reasonable offer based on circumstances. I started putting my expeirence to use, when i realized everything I could afford, was not worth leaving my children. I would worry too much. We live in Old Louisville, a few blocks from the park and want someone who is either already in that area or willling to travel to us. We have two dogs (a one year old Weimaraner and a two year old Basset) who are very loving, but also can seek attention from people, so whoever comes must be okay with dogs. We are looking to pay $100/week and this is firm as we could put her in childcare for this amount. The upside is, you would have all major holidays off (I am a school teacher) paid. My child has medium cp, wears foot braces and can walk with some help and crawl, stand, sit-up and climb around on own and is transported in a wheelchair and fed similar to a 8-10 month old with a smashed food consistency. My child can use some therapeutic stretches from time to time and can be placed in a stander to improve balance if so desired. My special child is sweet and actually a lot easier to care for than my 4 year old. You'd be welcome to bring your child along if necessary as long as they are well behaved. What I had in mind if I can’t get any of the below needs filled is to find someone dependable and honest who could sit for me sometimes when I need some help. Just a resource that I could get to know, trust and could get some help from. That I’d pay pretty good hourly wage, but I don’t know really how much it someone would want to make for babysitting these days. My child qualifies for personal care assistance due to disability, that is basically helping her get a bath and get breakfast or dinner, depending upon the scheduled time. It might be 10 hours per week ResCare is the home health provider, but they cannot find anyone (so, I’m told) to do that work due to shortage in med field and my Northern Bullitt Co location I don’t know exactly what the qualifications are for the job, but I think it pays at least 10.00-12.00 per hour possibly more, but you have to be 18 years old. If I can’t find someone who’s willing to go to work for them to do that particular job, there is something else called Respite, which is basically watching the child to give the parent a break to go to grocery or clean the house or such. That pays a little less I believe (it used to be 9-10.00/hour I think) We are allocated 13 hours/month thru the State. Its not much. Annually and again, you’ preferably work for ResCare. Again, 18.
