<![CDATA[Don't have any pictures but... Our gray cat was let out by a workman at our home yesterday. He is about a year old, long-haired, and charcoal gray. Long, fluffy tail. Very affectionate. He is a big cat, weighing over 15 pounds and comes to a litle below mid-leg in height, a little over a foot long. He has a "strangled" meow that makes it sound almost like he's gargling. He looks a little like Wilford Brimley in the face, and answers alternatively to "Beetis" or "Ambrose". He was lost at 2nd and Wampum in the Beechmont Neighborhood on Thursday, September 25th. Although we obviously would like to have him back healthy and hearty, he is not an outdoor cat. He is not neutered or declawed, and could probably take care of himself, but he's not the brightest bulb so my hopes are pretty low. If someone finds him in one piece and alive, or sees him on the road any other way, I'd ask for information. Either way, we'd like to have him home even if it is just to bury him. My daughter is heartbroken as he was her pet, and closure would be a good thing. ]]>

<![CDATA[I think i just saw some of the infamous Bicycle Thieves in action Tuesday night, probably around 2AM. I was riding my bike on Baxter Avenue (parallel to Bardstown Rd.), when a truck peeled around a corner, coming toward Grinstead Drive, from the direction of Bardstown Rd. As it drove by me, I saw the handlebars of a road bike slightly hanging over the tailgate of the pickup. I'm not sure about the make and model of the truck, but it seemed like a Ford Ranger, and possibly a dark blue color. I thought nothing of it, and continued on my way to the Speedway gas station at Grinstead and Bardstown. When I left the Speedway, I road on Bardstown Rd, and as I passed one of the buildings (i'm not sure which one), a guy yelled, "Hey, give me my bike!" I was startled and looked at him, thinking it was a friend of mine, but I didn't recognize him, and didn't stop because I didn't want to get into a physical altercation and possibly have my bike stolen(!). While at first I just thought the guy was drunk and looking for a fight, it took me a few seconds to realize what *may* have happened. If anyone else around Cahoots saw something similar to what I described -- a guy (or maybe two guys) in a Ford Ranger-like truck, grab a bike and throw it in the truck bed and drive off -- leave a posting and/or contact the authorities. I guess I should file a police report myself... I've already had two bikes stolen in that exact area within the past 2 months, so we need to shut down these dishonest opportunists!!! and if the guy who yelled at me (and possibly got your bike stolen) is reading this, I swear I did not steal your bike. Honest. ]]>

The friend of mine who was riding it is unclear on who took the bike as she was on the way to the hospital in an ambulance with head injuries.
