My name is Sarah. I am an Oil Painter and I do Pastel Drawings. In addition I do some Water Colors, Charcoal, Leather Work, Dream Catchers, etc..

I am searching for an Art Patron to fund my commitment to making Art.
I have had the blessing of having an Art Patron in the past when I was shoulder to shoulder with some great artists and living in Taos, New Mexico. Now I am back in my home town and simply thrilled with the growing art community here in Waukesha. I will continue to believe by making art I can help it grow!
As is known, it is hard to both be an Artist and work full time to support ones self. Therefore you either lose the dream or become a "Starving Artist". I refuse to allow either in my life. I was recently laid off and in my sudden jolt of life changing times I find I have been working too much and making Art too little since my relocation to Waukesha.

I believe it is my destiny to continue to make Art. It soothes my heart, mind and soul to create it and those who look upon it, feel it too. Thus, if you are looking to encourage this fate for a young artist, here I am.

These are some of my present goals I am looking for assistance in:

1.) To obtain an art studio space that I can work full time in.
2.) To obtain more art supplies.
3.) To get Prints and Giclee's made of my art to show at local Art Galleries.
4.) To help the area grow as a Thriving Art Community.
5.) To inspire other artist to keep believing in the DREAM, no matter what!

If you may want to help, let's talk!
Please email me:)

| The Dreaming Zebra Foundation is a charity that provides art and music supplies, and classes to schools, youth groups, mentoring and homeless programs, and other non-profits that cannot afford to provide arts education.

In this city alone, there are many children and districts who are waiting for instruments, papers, paints, etc., so that they can provide art or music class even once a week, for a handful of children, and this often occurs after school hours through the support of volunteers and donations.

We hope you will agree that as artists within the community, we have a collective responsibility to help support, and pave the way for today's creative youth.

If every person who reads this letter would give a single dollar, or the change laying around your house that you have forgotten about, rather than perhaps caring yet simply passing by . .. we could establish a free arts program today, or drop off the supplies necessary to support a mentoring program or after school arts class. Our waiting list grows longer every day.

Do you care enough to give a single dollar? Or more?
Let's make a difference in the lives of these children today! We can't do it without your support. At the current time we have many willing volunteers who are more than happy to give their time, but few supplies to work with, compared to the overwhelming list of needs.

If you can't give a dollar, do you have used art supplies that could be put to good use? Send them our way!

Please click the following link to learn more about the Foundation, join as an annual member, or make a donation, no matter how small. Every penny helps.
Thanks for reading. We appreciate you. http://www.zcgallery.org/dreaming.html

| Hide House is excited to have a “full house” of artists, bands, creative professionals and community groups at our complex. Now we are proud to announce the addition of a new space to be used exclusively for an artist co-op. This is a secure, shared area rented to a limited number of artists, and to be used for art only.

About the space and its use:
The suite is a total of 2,500 square feet and has a wall of beautiful large refurbished factory windows as well as an area of controlled light away from the windows. Access is limited to this space’s artists specifically (ie. there is no traffic from other tenants or common areas except for scheduled events), and it is available 24/7 to meet the needs of artists’ varying schedules. Year leases are only $125/mo, and we also offer 3-month rolling leases (month-to-month lease with 90-day notice).

The suite will open at the beginning of June and we recommend that anyone who might be interested contact us immediately to insure a spot. This is a fantastic opportunity to have the use of an extremely large space at an extremely low rate, with the ability to surround yourself with creative energy.
Please contact our office at 414-482-2200 to set up a time to look at the space and to reserve your place!

Art Corps Announcement: Invitation to Artists

Are you an artist looking for an opportunity to display your work in a public setting where it will be viewed by thousands of Milwaukee residents and visitors? Are you interested in making a statement? The Art Corps, a component of the Milwaukee Community Service Corps (MCSC), is now accepting proposals for its most recent installation. The theme for this cycle of the Art Corps’ program is Environmental Art. Installation of the completed artworks is anticipated in early July.

Artists, or teams of artists, will create an artwork utilizing preponderantly natural materials (i.e. materials found in nature, not in an artist supply shop or similar store). Artists are free to select any topic or style they wish as long as most of the materials used are natural.

The artwork should have a base size of no more than 36 inches by 36 inches and may be up to 60 inches in height. Completed projects will be installed in an outdoor, public location for a period of approximately eight weeks at various sites around the city of Milwaukee. Projects must be self-supporting, structurally stable, and be built to withstand outdoor elements. Please plan to make them safe for the public to view (no sharp edges, etc.). No electrical feeds will be available for the artwork.

To be considered for this installation artists must submit their proposals by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7. Proposals must include the following:

1. A sketch indicating design elements and proposed size.
2. A brief artist statement describing the significance of the project or what it means to you.
3. A list of materials you plan to use with a probable budget,.

Upon acceptance of your proposal, modest stipends (expected to be approximately $100) will be made available to you. You will have 5 weeks to complete your artwork.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please email the Program Coordinator of the Art Corps, Tom Miller, at millerthm730@aol.com.

*****

I am doing a one of a kind documentary about people of all ages getting the basic childhood illnesses naturally (mumps, measles chickenpox, 3 day measles) and letting people make up their own minds on the issue of vaccination. I plan to contrast having the actual illness with what is said by the vaccine manufacturers and world wide health agencies who often times have unethical financial ties with pharmaceutical corporations.

What I need is help finding people who are willing to be in the documentary and talk openly about their experiences with naturally exposing their children (or themselves) to the childhood illnesses rather than vaccinating.

I am even willing to be part of the project by being exposed to and contracting (catching) the various childhood illnesses such as mumps that I did not have as a child---This is how strongly I believe in this project! If you know of anyone who could help me on this part of the documentary PLEASE let me know. I am willing to pay whoever helps me (once I have contracted the mumps, measles, 3 day measles, etc.) so that I can finish my film!

To complete the next part of my documentary, I need people willing to discuss open and honestly their experiences dealing with day to day issues (employment, enrollment in school, dealing with social services, etc.) as a non vaccinated person, or as parents raising non vaccinated children.

The above mentioned part of my project mostly deals with the US, but should serve globally as a cautionary tale of greedy pharmaceutical companies putting profit, and the so called greater good above human rights, personal well being, and individual choice.

For the next part of my film project I need to interview and show what it is like to survive long term injuries from vaccination, Autism is one such injury, as is Guillain Barre a very serious neurological disorder. I plan to give equal coverage to all possible vaccine injuries both serious and minor. This including contracting the disease you are being vaccinate for from the vaccine, something that is not as uncommon as people might think.

Lastly, I am looking to get to know people who have more experience in film production / promotion, and web design than I do, and would be willing to help me pull this project together in a way that opens many eyes and reaches the masses. | Great opportunity in the growing Arts District of Downtown Waukesha (that has 23 Art Galleries) to be involved in a riverfront Gallery in this Historic, once Crystal Crown Mineral Spring factory building.

Attention Students,

My name is Patrick Mongeon, and I am a project manager for MATA Community Media (MCM), the Community and Public Access channel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (www.matamedia.org)

We here at MCM are putting together a television program showcasing student productions. We are offering students the opportunity to have their work shown (un-edited) to the over 140,000 cable subscribers in the Milwaukee area and have recently expanded to cover all of Southeastern Wisconsin. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to screen their work in a major U.S. city, and it will be great exposure for your work. And, it’s free!

We are excited about putting together the show, and plan to showcase student work from all over the country.

If you are interested, please respond back and we will give you more information about this exciting opportunity.

Hope this finds you well, and we’re looking forward to hearing back from you soon!

Nineteen Thirteen: (Janet Schiff and John Sparrow) Perform at Gallery

Milwaukee, WI – March 12, 2008– The duo, "Nineteen Thirteen" consisting of cellist Janet Schiff and percussionist John Sparrow (cajon) will perform at Gallery 218, located at 207 East Buffalo St, on April 18, 2008. Art and music enthusiasts are invited to Nineteen Thirteen’s performance on Gallery Night in the Historic Third Ward, from 7 pm – 9 pm., courtesy of the Gallery 218, an Artist Cooperative.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Janet Schiff has pursued the cello for
over 20 years and studied with many masters while attending UW
Milwaukee. With musical influences ranging from Amadeus to Zeppelin,
Schiff uses technology to create what she calls her 'cello orchestra'
or 'multi-cello' layers. She has performed on radio and television
numerous times and is currently working on a CD, titled “Cello City”, in
Georgia. Schiff performs, teaches, and records with her beloved
Romanian cello in ensembles or solo and is available for bookings
through her website www.cellojanet.com.

Milwaukee drummer and percussionist John Sparrow on cajon, in
accompaniment of Ms. Schiff, completes Nineteen Thirteen’s ensemble.
Sparrow performs live and is a permanent member of the Violent Femmes.
He recently led a percussionist clinic in the Greater Milwaukee area
presenting material from his July 2007 Modern Drummer article “Cajon
for Drumset Players”. Sparrow has also been featured in a Spanish
documentary DVD, “The Ways of the Cajon.”

In 2008, the Gallery 218 Artist Cooperative celebrates its 18th year of
promoting the contemporary fine arts in Milwaukee. Exhibiting artists

| Hello! I'm a young artist from Milwaukee looking for other people like me to join me as partners in a business venture. Taboo. A clothing line, a place of relaxation and a way of life.

But seriously - if you're interested in being part of a hard working group of passionate individuals building from the ground up, if you don't want to work in a suit, if you want to own your own business and make your own rules, I'd love to talk to you.

I'm looking for partners with (at best) experience (at least, interest) in screen-printing, sewing, retail, design, photography, manufacturing, customer service, accounting, and/or marketing... or anything else you think you could bring to the table...

This business will start primarily online, with a street team here in Milwaukee, and a few volunteers in Chicago (as well as a few other random cities.) There is no capital involved yet - this is literally going to be built from the ground up. I'm not looking for workers - I'm looking for people who want to build something great. From online the line will spread to the street at flea markets and small boutiques, eventually gaining its own space. I want you to help me make this happen. Everyone will have creative rights - everyone's voice will be heard. If you can't handle a communist brainstorming session that could last thru many cases of beer, please hit back on your browser, this isn't for you.

So if you're full of ideas and hopes and too much energy to know what to do with- email me with what you think you can offer (and I mean ANYTHING, even if you're just a muse with a few extra bucks to spend on bagged and bottled "creativity.")and I'll hit you up with the business plan and what I need.
