Lately I have been finding homes for several different types of birds. Abused, neglected etc.... I also bring in birds that customers ask to be brought down from Stillwater, MN. *another fair I promote* Contrary to earlier statements, there are other vendors at the fair. They provide customers with "one on one" service. They are either breeders, suppliers -food, cages, toys, products, and/or some bring in "rescue" birds. I have vendors coming from Michigan, Northern Wisconsin, the Milwaukee area, Illinois. It is always different and always educational. Our vendors are very knowledgable about birds. They can and will try to answer any questions that they are able too. We also help people with problem birds. If you enjoy birds, come to the fair. There will be lots of bird people there. Yes, some of the vendors make money at the fair, but in the same sense, the consumer also receives excellent service, with someone they can actually get answers from and they save money in the long run. Let's show them they are wrong and find my forever family. Are you looking for that loving lab personality? That wonderful temperament? Then please look no further as I am here. My name is Max. I am a very handsome 5 yr old, 60 lb black lab. I am even neutered and utd on all vaccinations. I am hw tested (negative) and on preventative. You can tell from my first picture I am quite a lover! I really like being around my people. I also LOVE playing with balls. I even know how to bring it back to you and drop it. Just so we can do it all over again. This is my favorite thing to do besides spending time with my humans. When I first came to rescue I did not know what it was like to live inside a home. My previous owner had me out door in a kennel all the time. Let me tell you......I REALLY like to be indoors with my foster family. I am behaved inside of the home even though I like to follow you around a little bit. I am a passive boy and good with other dogs. I am also good with cats. So I can go to a home with either a dog or cat. I am also housebroken which is a great thing. Also I know commands like sit and come. I am doing really well of lead. I need to work on my leash manners a little more but that will not take long as I really aim to please. I just want to be next to my person that I will just adore. My foster mom is working with me on wait and stay. Which I am improving on and doing this on a daily basis. I really respond well to positive reinforcement. Also I do not jump up on people which is a really good thing. This is what my foster mom has to say about me. Lie down to Max means throwing himself on his back on the floor (anticipating a belly rub). He's improving on wait and stay. He'll fetch and drop it til the cows come home. He shares, if another dog gets to the ball first, he'll try to find a way to get it back but will not fight over it. Max has been wonderful with our cats. He barely acknowledges their existence. He always lies at my feet in the living room or next to my side of the bed at night, following me into the bathroom to rest his head on my knees, staring up into my eyes. Yes, he realizes he has been given a second, better life. What he doesn't know is that it still gets better ... Visiting Our Dogs: We're sorry, but we don't have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes. I do have a wee bit of experience with dog training from participating in the Dog Obedience courses with the Sheboygan County 4-H Project many years ago...so I can work on your dog's leash etiquette if need be, but again, I'm no expert. I would really prefer friendly dogs and those that aren't escape-artists. I don't know what constitutes a "professional" dog-walker, but I'm looking for relatively easy gigs. She needs to go to a house where the toilet seat cover is always left open because she pees on the toilet. If the bathroom is in use she will wait by the door. If the door is closed she will use the litter box, but prefers the toilet. The other cat was a rescue cat that was thrown to the side of a road up north. She needs a home where there is always a lap to sit on. You don't even have to pet her to make this one purr. She would do better with older or no kids, but does ok with our 6 year old. Powder, baby oil, baby formula, etc. Introduce the dog to the SOUNDS associated with babies. Get a doll that crys and wiggles and walk around the house carrying that. I am not looking to make money, just to spend time around horses, because they are my passion. I have been riding for 14 years and have experience with spirited horses & not so calm horses. She belonged to my sister, but due to financial issues, my sister had to move into an income based apartment that does not allow cats. We agreed to take Scotchie in, but it hasn't been working out with our other cats; Scotchie actually had a small chunk torn out of her ear! Scotchie needs a new loving home without other cats. She is not declawed, but we haven't had any problems with her clawing the furniture. She is fully litter box trained and has never had any accidents.
