I have just received a request from the Clintons to urge the DNC to seat the Michigan and Florida delegates. They are making the argument that they are winning if the DNC seats those two states. This race is far from over (I presume Clinton will win by a wide margin in Kentucky). I find it very irk-some that so many Democrats are willing to waste their political capital on Obama - like what's his name - hmmm, can't remeber it anymore - you know, the guy who was the Democrats V.P. candidate in 2004. It's for the best in the long run - if Clinton wins, she will not owe the party bosses much, eh? If she loses, and Obama becomes the nominee, he will most certianly lose in the general election. All those radical-left party bosses will have their names on the 'list of shame.' We can ignore them for the rest of their days and rebuild the Democratic Party on the piled heaps of their political corpses. BTW - I really like that 'Hilambo' photo. The pamphlet was written by a Phd. and is really well- thought-out and a thought provoking piece. I heard it from a recorded testimony of a convert from Islam to Christianity. The Koran "search word engines" that I access did not reveal it. I think it is there because I was told it was there. But frankly, as of yet I cannot prove it. “Islam and Muhammad deny the deity of Christ.” "But he is considered a prophet whose second coming will usher in the Apocalypse." -ESC. You see, I am not OK with this. It is a degrading of the deity of Christ, plain and simple. No self proclaimed Christian should be OK with it. You ask have "I have encountered Muslims" and "Are you for real?" The answer for both questions is "yes". I have already worked for a man of Islam, hired a man of Islam for a department I managed. My current duties randomly call for me to interact with men of Islam. Restraints of curbing Muslims for satisfying (Surah 9:29; 9:5)are effective in the United States. However, these practices (Of Islamic persons executing Christians) are common throughout most of the Middle East, Indonesia, Morocco and countless other places. It is the Missionary people I encounter that are guffawed and amazed by the pacified viewpoint of "If you kill Christians over there, then they got it coming; just so you don't kill them over here" that Christian Missionaries find unbelievable when they come Stateside. Islam does kill members for leaving.” My point is this, Elmer: just as we wouldn’t allow extreme Christians in our society to kill based on the religion of others, neither should we accept the Muslims who kill others based on religion – we shouldn’t accept it when Muslims kill other nonbelievers or kill those that convert. However, we shouldn’t condemn Muslims who DON’T kill nonbelievers simply because OTHER Muslims do. The religion itself isn’t to blame; it is those that corrupted the religion that we should condemn. We don’t condemn every Christian for the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church or for the actions of those who bomb abortion clinics, and those who DO condemn every Christian for those actions are wrong to do so. Are there questionable passages in the Qur’an that state when people should be killed? Yes, but like I said before most Muslims don’t follow those passages. Most Christians don’t kill people (or at least punish them the way that was proper during past times) who shave their beards, who have safe sex (though some do), who don’t follow proper cleaning rituals during menstruation, who don’t make proper offerings to God, and last but certainly not least, who don’t believe in God (for example Chapter 13 of Deuteronomy explicitly explains that prophets who preach other religious beliefs, family members who convert to other beliefs, and even entire towns that worship other gods need to be killed or destroyed). Lay the blame of murder in the name of jihad against those who interpret the teachings of Mohammed to allow murder. That is, you cannot blame Islam for a Muslim who murders nonbelievers any more than we can blame Christianity for a Christian who murdered a nonbeliever. Does it happen more in Muslim culture than Christian culture? Yes. Does that mean we blame all Muslims? Heavens no. We blame radical teachers of Islam and those who murder. As for Mr. R – I am not an “Islamist.” Though I find nothing wrong with people who are Muslim, I myself am a Christian. But I’m also a firm believer that I should not condemn other religions for being different; if I were to have that attitude, how could I expect others to consider Christianity? I try to understand all religions as much as I can, and if they’re not bat-sh!t crazy I try to respect them. It is also an American right to choose whatever religion you feel is best for yourself; as an American I will not deny that right to anyone, so long as that religion does not deny rights to others.]]>

As for the idea that Islam is a religion of peace, we need only look to the nation of Iraq for the answer to that question. That is in no way a pat on the back for christianity, though. The claim that 'christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world' is not true. The church of christ has had a repulsive history of persecuting other religions and even of persecuting other christian sects. The ONLY reason that christianity does not present itself as the monster that it truly is, here in America, is because of the just laws given by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison: By putting all citizens on an equal political footing regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof, AND by the separation of church and State which prohibits the government from making any laws on the basis of religion - the wind has thus been taken out of the sails of persecution. That would have been a good starting point for Iraq. It is a shame that none of our leaders, over there, has an understanding of that most fundamental cornerstone of the American Idea or they simply lack the courage to present it to the Islamic world. That the world of Islam is peopled by persons of such a temperment as to receive separation of church and State, still remains to be seen. Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs. I was particularly in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Man gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that most Islams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?" There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!" I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in Heaven. Is that correct?" The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to tha t of "a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar." He sheepishly replied, "Yes." I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in Heaven. The Imam was speechless. I continued, "I also have problem with being your 'friend' when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to Heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be there with me?" You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs. I think everyone in the US should be required to read this but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized. The First Amendment protects all speech, not just what YOU or I think is not offensive. Be a real American - defend free speech for even those who's remarks you find offensive. Be aware, many find your remarks offensive, too. An interesting remark: "...what [do] you mean how 'evil' the Holy book of Islam really is?" The "Holy" book of Islam? ESQ are you an Islamist? It would explain a lot if you are. As for which books are evil in the Koran? It was Elmer, not I who made the remark, nonetheless - I do observe that they tie people to the stake and hurl bricks at them till they die, often for the slightest offense - do they not get these ideas from the Koran? Earlier, when there was a discussion about people being offended by writings, I believe I pointed out that the word "Negro" is considered by many to be an offensive term to use when describing black people. You disagreed, and questioned who gets to decide what is to be considered offensive. Well, that all depends on the forum. Here, the majority gets to decide which posts are worth flagging or not. At work, whoever hears you gets to decide whether and to what degree they have been offended. In summation, the observer gets to decide, not the proclaimer, particularly if the offense they have caused is obviously so. Talking about a religion that is foreign to you, as though you can summarily denounce all people who would dare follow such a cause, is without merit, and without requisite aforethought. I was not on the high school debate team, but I would presume the most effective manner of beginning a debate is to make an argument, and provide evidence for that argument. So please, do provide some evidence to indicate that the hundreds of millions of peaceful muslims are somehow comparable to the extremists, as though we as christians should have to answer for the actions of David Koresh. I am not muslim, but I am troubled to see the indication of thinking in such generalities. That post is a perfect example of what is wrong with America's perception of Islam. Next someone will be going on about Obama being a Muslim, I presume. Postings like this are why I do not partake in more arguments on this board (well coupled with the fact that I don't want to divulge too much personal information to the racists). Raised in a good Greenfield home and family of 5, I developed a rather aggressive appetite for "euphoriants" at a young age. My Dad was rather blessed by the U.A.W. as a skilled precision machinist & grinder with a good paying job. I was raised democrat, and hated what I called "the corporate swill". My political influences ranged from Frank Zappa to classic Democrat party lines. My whole family was democrats. I began a criminal career in sales of "street pharmaceuticals" at the ripe age of 14...Daily marijuana use soon after...popping valium like mad, having beer for breakfast...cocaine by age 15...using heroin by 16...to name just a few. In the 80's my "side-line" cocaine sale surpassed marijuana sales, using a street value of $1400 on cocaine per week, having beer with a methadone chaser by 19...Hepatitis C & dirty needle to follow soon after. I was not responsible for anything...raised with cultural southside racist values.. would not do illict trade with blacks because I could see their rip-off strategies. (Which meant I had instead gotten ripped off by crafty older white drug addicts.) I cursed in my moments of anguish against God and wondered why God would not strike me dead when I mocked him.(?) Having become emotionally whacked & unstable and physically dependent on alcohol & poly-drug use, On 8/6/85 My being "born again" had started compliments of West Allis undercover police and their rather assertive SWAT team. After the legal stripping of my worldly possessions, I landed my sorry self in a halfway house for addicts and alcoholics. I was taught the wisdom of Bill W. and Dr.Bob, and prospered from their teachings. The old Men in the Racine Alano Club had gotten me to see I was a modern day "prodigal son", that it would soon be time for me to turn from the Dead Kennedy's or Jim Morrison value systems. That I and we, are responsible for ourselves and the choices we make. That my attitude of entitlement had to die. When I asked advice on how recoup illicit drug profits back from non-paying "fronts" (for my fund my legal defense), it was the black men I met that had the courage to set me straight. (The white guys later said they would not call me on my criminality 'because they liked me'...and because we were in "white guys" caucus mode...something called "criminal code") One day while conversing with a male prostitute (in the halfway house) I began my reconstruct of values...no more of the "anything goes"...Frederick Nietzsche (albeit having a couple of good quotes) yet is overwhelmingly full of crap. I have become skilled in the paradox of being strong in my powerlessness (12 step theory) After 19 years of 12 step, I found countless steps of the bible, and the teaching of Jesus Christ. My "recovery" discipline is now "Bible powered". 12 steps just got too easy for me after 2005. I'll just assume you pundits will figure out how NeoCon conversion became a part of my process and manifest destiny as described in Romans 8:28 & 29. I have found immeasurable profit in NEVER having alcohol or illicit drugs in over 22 years. <![CDATA[Last night's results indicated that Barack Obama will become the eventual nominee for the Democratic Party. I asserted this point earlier, to which I was questioned about it by Elmer. Elmer, I hope last night's results convince you as well that Obama is the heir-apparent to the Democratic nomination. :-D Hillary will continue to run, but she will not win. Her nomination, then, will become a nagging reminder to Obama that her campaign was able to get a large minority of voters to chose her side, forcing him to select her as his vice presidential candidate (for fear of distancing the support he needs that she has). This will have two consequences: first, the media will paint a picture of how both Obama and Clinton were at each other's throats during the campaign, but somehow now are able to reconcile. This could be negative for the Democratic Party, since it casts the ticket as "unstable." Second, the Republicans, instead of having one candidate to chastise for the remainder of the election year, will have both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to critique in their run-up to November. If McCain plays his cards right and picks a Republican VP that is highly respected (say, Chuck Hagel or someone near his stature) the GOP could have the stronger ticket. He will absolutely not pick Condi Rice as his vp. I don't think she really wants to be in that position, and McCain is trying to distance himself from Bush; appointing Rice as his vp candidate would be a step in the wrong direction towards that end. In either case, I still believe the election is going to be very close. Anti-Republican hostility in America is still strong, if not stronger, since the 2006 midterms. Americans are still looking for "change," something that both Democratic "candidates" represent more than McCain does. I went to investigate and found that the Public School's version was an accurate, although watered down, version of Jefferson. (Federer & Barton's version was a complete pack of lies, BTW.) At any rate, it was Jeffer- son's work that referred to Thomas Paine often. Being so pleased with Jefferson I thought I would check out Mr. Paine's work - I then discovered "The Age of Reason," as well as his other theological works, and within a matter of weeks (perhaps days) I was set free of the bondage of trinitarian christianity. I work against christianity because it is a foreign religion, foreign to western civilization - a polution in our society that needs to be removed. Also, we had a rather heated (and thanks to your replys, colorful) argument about the 4th chapter of the book of Ezekiel. ESQ then entered the picture. I think I recall that he was interested in our theological arguments. You apparently have forgotten that Chris announced the 'soon to be' birth of their infant - and saying that life was too busy to post much, here. (Though I suspect the real reason ESQ has disappeared is because of the embarrassing revelations that Obama is the monster that I said he was all along.) She can't win the nomination, though. It's over for her. Consider how desparate she's been: her campaign is now touting the fact that she has somehow overtaken Obama in the popular vote count. This is highly misleading; for it to be true, you have to include Michigan, a state that all Democratic candidates at the time agreed on as not being able to count, and a state that didn't even have Obama's name on the ballot. Now, let's say that we DO want to count Michigan. Then let's say that we'll give Obama the 40% vote count of the uncommitted voters in the primary, which is pretty generous to Hillary. With that count, Obama STILL has the popular vote count to this date! He's leading in popular votes, he's leading in states won, and he's leading in delegate numbers. If the current trends continue (and they should, especially if Hillary can't become victorious in states like North Carolina or Oregon), then the superdelegates are going to need to hear a lot of convincing arguments to vote against the person the people chose. As for whether or not I would support Hillary as a candidate? Yes, I would. I don't think she's the BEST candidate we have, but I think she could have been a formidable candidate were it not for Obama. I have no response for the racist. I do question where this hostility against blacks is coming from, and if they honestly behave this way in public (or do they just behave this way due to the anonymity of the internet). It would do well for whoever should win the nomination to chose the other as their running mate. I know a lot of people would find this maddening due to the hostility between the two campaigns. <![CDATA[I am assiting the Obama campaign in Indiana from up here in Wisconsin and am looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out down there this Saturday as well as the following Saturday. We will be aiding in the GOTV (get out the vote) efforts. We would be traveling to a field office in N.W. Indiana and working out of there for each day. I've made a couple of these trips and its really only about 2 hours from the eastside of Milwaukee. I know there are probably four to five people who read these posts (as there are about two who actually write on here) but please get ahold of me if you are interested.]]>
