Applicants MUST HAVE PROFESSIONAL equipment and experience shooting video. We expect professional qulity shooting along with the quality equipment. This is a big show with a lot of people. You as the videographer must be in command of your equipment and be organized. We expect at least two hours of video to be taken from a variety of different angles and locations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Set the strategic direction and execute on tactics required to meet and exceed online sales goals across all our Journal selling organizations. This would include the online direct and traditional media sales teams. Responsible for JSI and JBG meeting its online revenue goals for all existing and new sites & products. Inspire teams to work toward a common sales vision and set clear benchmarks to monitor progress and reward performance. • Ability to quickly assess the online sales management group and team of direct and indirect online sellers for strengths and developmental opportunities to build a dynamic and customer-driven sales organization. Manage, mentor, and train a team of Sales Directors, Field Sales Managers, Account Executives, and Sales Support personnel. Demonstrate intense motivation to sell, gain market share and win new business in a highly competitive space. Communicate goals and develop appropriate compensation plans for sales managers, and the overall sales teams. • Set standards for salespeople in executing the sales cycle to ensure that sales productivity measures are met at a high level. Develop statistical and analytical reports including sell-through reporting and campaign performance. Assess local Milwaukee and regional/national needs for sales tools or resources to meet goals and exceed expectations. • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online sales department including sales development, ad-trafficking, inventory management, and performance/training management. Identify, recommend and implement tools and systems that will improve online advertising operations where relevant. • Manage the sales pipeline to maximize revenue while providing accurate and timely forecasts. Formalize the selling process and work closely with our sales training resources (Center for Sales Strategy) to develop smart prospect targeting and key account management activities. • Identify emerging verticals of business opportunity and develop sales strategies, techniques and tactics to capitalize on market changes working in collaboration with the product development group. Demonstrate understanding of the major competitors while developing sales strategies to compete against them. • Strong recruitment skills with a proven track record of building and growing the skills of sales managers and account executives. • Work with Journal Sentinel Advertising Department and Journal Broadcast Sales Groups to ensure (through the efforts of both staffs) that we achieve our sales goals • Work on special assignments as designated by the SVP/General Manager –Journal Interactive. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year university required 2. Minimum 12 years of overall sales experience, 5 years of senior-level management experience, and 3 years of Interactive media experience required. Poses a demonstrated track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining strong motivated sales manager and account executive talent. 4.
