<![CDATA[Thanks to the wonderful people at Ugly Mugs, I snagged two dogs. One is a little terrier mix, the other is a white German Shepherd. I saw these guys yesterday by the interstate at James Robertson Parkway, so they've traveled quite a bit. The white German Shepherd has been in a fight since I first saw them yesterday. His wound looks bad, but it's really not. I have five other dogs in my house right now, so if you know of anyone who can do short term fostering for them, that would be amazing. A rescue group is helping with their care and finding them a long term foster. These dogs are bestest friends, so it would be best if they go together. ]]>

He is obviously someone's pet b/c he wants to come into our house and knows simple commands such as "come here" "no" and "Want something to eat?" means. He is a very friendly dog, doesn't bother my other dogs, is great w/my kids but does not like my cats. He has on a faded red collar but no tags. It was heartbreaking watching her run for her life, she was shaking and terrified... I brought her home, fed her, bathed her and she's settled nicely. No collar; she has a few scratches but otherwise seems to be in good health. I'm not sure how old she is, but she does seem to be trained. So, for now all we can do is keep searching for him and hope he shows up soon before he gets hit by a car or shot at by a cop or some backwoods person. VERY DISHEARTENING!!! :( UPDATE: 2/24 STOLEN NOW MISSING!! Thief now claims that Sir Parker "escaped", drivebys through the neighborhood where he was taken to have seen no sign of him. Sir Parker was STOLEN!! A warrant is being by METRO Police. We are working with Cheatham County Sheriff's Department because the dog was stolen by a friend of the foster mom, Jerry M. Luke, taken to his home at 1069 Cagle Road in Ashland City, TN. Jerry stole the dog because he didn't want him to be MUTILATED by being neutered tomorrow... Metro Police have spoken to Jerry via the phone he admits he took the dog, but now claims that Sir Parker has run away. PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES & EARS OPEN as he may cross your path. Because of the lag time of getting the warrant served and recorded in Metro and then uploaded and sent to Cheatham County - there is a 72 HOUR LAG before we can enter Luke's property!!!!
