The Jubilee Chorus is committed to glorifying and serving God through musical excellence. We pray our lives and the lives of others will be profoundly changed as we are brought together, sharing our faith through music ministry. We are an ecumenical chorus supporting one another in the spiritual journey. With Christ, our desire is to offer hope and healing to change our world. We commit to providing our members with the opportunity to sing a varied repertoire of great choral music, primarily classical, but also well-crafted contemporary music and spirituals. We strive to achieve the highest standard of performance through our music ministry.

The Chorus is a key part of a non-profit global music ministry currently based in over 20 countries throughout the world. The Jubilee Chorus of New York City is now being formed and will join this rapidly growing and exciting ministry. Performances will take place monthly at a variety of churches and venues throughout New York City and on occasion will also include instrumentalists from The Jubilee Symphony Orchestra, another part of this broad music ministry.

Currently, Jubilee members in other locations consist of a beautifully diverse group of individuals from a wide variety of fields, church choir members seeking a broader experience, students, music professionals and more. The common attribute is that these are people with music in their hearts who seek to grow spiritually and musically while serving God through a community of fellowship.

i've been to many writers groups here, but have not made a real connection with anyone. strange that in a city like new york, it is so hard to find fellow artist and writers. i would love to have a writer buddy to bounce ideas off of, talk shop, watch movies, sing, dance, eat. don't know if this is the venue for this quest, but thought it was worth a try. if any of this sounds good to you, hit me back!

I'm somewhat new to the area and would like to connect with some single or married mothers (I'm separated) in or around the Chelsea area. I have a 20 month old son who is outgoing, friendly, cute and fun. I've taken time off to be with my son and I'm looking to meet new friends in the area. I'm looking for outgoing, intelligent and friendly women who have children from 1 year and older. I am intelligent, independent, attractive, reliable and safe. I'm willing to arrange play dates at my place or the park etc; once we become acquainted. If you prefer, we can meet for lunch or brunch (my treat) so we can connect or at the park. It would be nice to find women who are also interested in catching a movie or doing brunch or something fun when time permits with or without the kids. I have a regular sitter who doesn't mind the extra child for a few hours here and there. Please email me and tell me a little something about yourself. A phone number would be great. Thanks! | Hi all, we're looking to fill up our Water Taxi Beach Soccer team this Summer with some fun, nice people.

All are welcome as our aim is to have an enjoyable time with friends and soon to be friends.

I'll attach info about the league below. Water taxis leave the pier at 34th street in Manhattan or you can take the 7 train. Definitely easily accessible for everyone.

It's $795 for the team, so we're hoping we can get enough people that it's only about $125 or so for the season. Should be lots of fun and feel free to email me for any other info.

Thanks, enjoy the weekend

Beach Soccer:
Games will be played Mondays and Tuesdays at the Water Taxi Beach, although individual teams will only play on one evening per week. If demand is there we may also add a Wednesday evening league and a weekend league. Details to follow. Games begin at 6:45pm and continue until around 10:30pm. We will rotate the start times for every team throughout the season, with the latest possible start time of your first game being 9:45pm. Each team will play two, 15 minute games a night, no half time. Each season will run for 8 weeks.

FYI... in case you're wondering, we ran a trial league last fall and the participating players told us that 15 mins non-stop on the beach is plenty of time! That sand can be hard work!

Four players and a goalie, with a roster of 8, unlimited subs. We plan on offering the following leagues in both recreational and competitive divisions; mens, womens and coed. If the demand is there we would also like to offer age-related leagues such as 30+ or 40+. The cost for each team is $795, individuals are $150. | Anyone in the mood for a margarita and some guac tonight in Cobble Hill or Carroll Gardens (Lobo? That day has arrived.

Not only have we isolated a blackjack derivative game in which card-counting is MORE powerful than in traditional blackjack (yielding a 2.5% advantage over the house!!) – we are also utilizing team-playing strategies that minimize personal risk and maximize returns through pooled resources.

The Kitchen Table writing workshop meets on Saturday afternoons in my home in Brooklyn. Each workshop runs for 6 sessions of 2 hours each and will cost $360. (This includes your writing workshop as well as the food.) The next Kitchen Table workshops will begin in July.

About me: I am a freelance writer and editor who enjoys teaching writing. My work has been published in the Guardian, Ms. Magazine, the New York Press, Women’s ENews, and in major anthologies. I am currently at work on my first book, an anthology of stories that blur the lines between fiction and nonfiction.

I have worked as a professional writing coach at the university level, as a ghost-writer, and as an editor. My students and clients inspire me. Testimonials available.

Please send me a short description of yourself as a writer and any writing projects that you may want to bring to the workshop. Also tell me this, what is your favorite vegetarian food? I look forward to hearing from you!
| Pathways to Housing Inc., a large, well-regarded not-for-profit agency located in New York City providing a range of housing, clinical and support services throughout the New York metropolitan area has an excellent career opportunity for experienced fiscal staff:

Contact me through this post so that I may answer any questions: . Reduce Stress Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them. 5. Protect Yourself from Pollution If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning when air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution and dirt from the street deterrent. Thought for the day: 'Smoke gets in your eyes'…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants….hum the tune daily. | looking to get in shape? i need to get my run time down & drop some weight. we can work together. to get a good workout. its free. The New Yorker
At the age of thirty-one, Gilbert moved with her husband to the suburbs of New York and began trying to get pregnant, only to realize that she wanted neither a child nor a husband. Three years later, after a protracted divorce, she embarked on a yearlong trip of recovery, with three main stops: Rome, for pleasure (mostly gustatory, with a special emphasis on gelato); an ashram outside of Mumbai, for spiritual searching; and Bali, for “balancing.” These destinations are all on the beaten track, but Gilbert’s exuberance and her self-deprecating humor enliven the proceedings: recalling the first time she attempted to speak directly to God, she says, “It was all I could do to stop myself from saying, ‘I’ve always been a big fan of your work.’ ”

We scout out the best trails, the most scenic routes and the friendliest, most knowledgeable guides to ensure your adventure is fantastic.
This is a beautiful 9 mile Moderate hike.
This loop trail offers marvelous diversity of its terrain and scenery. Join us as we climb over rocky precipices, and up through the famous Lemon Squeezer, where you can practice rock climbing skills and scramble over 300 feet if you wish!
After lunch, we'll pass through rolling outcrops and lush woods...leading us to a spectacular abandoned iron mine, used during Civil War times to provide ore for munitions. In winter, this enormous mine entrance is hung with jaw-dropping icicles and floes.

I am currently seeking a Korean language partner (male or female) either or is fine with me. Although I was born in Korea, I came to the US at a very early age (5) and even though I speak the language fluently, I have trouble with difficult words, sayings and so forth. My main struggle is writing. Although I know the basics, I write "how it sounds". I'm sure people reading this will understand. Anyway, if anyone out there is interested, please let me know. Look forward to your reply. Also, I am looking for a long term partner, so if you plan on going back to Korea anytime soon, things may not work out between us. Also, although I work in Manhattan, I live in NJ. So if you live in NJ, that's a big plus for me.

I needed some help getting myself back into a fitness routine. I just started working out with Ray about 2 months ago, and it has really changed my life. I have more energy and endurance throughout the day and I'm happier as well. I usually get bored very easily when it comes to working out, but Ray incorporates new exercises into every workout that make it interesting and challenging for me. I am a waitress and I take some classes which gives me a very odd schedule, but Ray is able to work around that to fit in our sessions every week and is very reliable when it comes to communication on this. The best part (besides my new rockin body) is that he doesn't let me cheat myself and motivates me through the workout. If you want to get in shape and make a change in your life, I would definitely recommend On The Go Fit.

I have been working with Ray at On the Got Fit for only two months, and I'm already in the best shape of my life! His varied work-outs and diet tips created immediate results, and most importantly I have fun doing it. He also works around my hectic work schedule in investment banking by coming to the gym in my apartment building very early in the morning and adjusting our schedule from week to week based on my travel schedule. I originally planned to hire Ray to get in shape the few months leading up to my wedding, but with the success so far I don't plan on stopping there!

When I first started working out with Ray, I’d just had my second child and I was flabby, sleep-deprived, out of shape, and worried I’d never find the motivation to get my old body back. I started a workout regime reluctantly, but found to my surprise that it was actually kind of fun. Ray doesn’t just focus on weights and cardio and stretching – he also helped me find the motivation to overhaul my diet and start taking better care of myself. I’ve only been at this a few months, but I’m already starting to get my old body back. More importantly, I have more energy, I’m happier, and I’m a better wife and mother because of it. It sure beats Prozac!!

I've been working out with Ray at the On The Go Fit for over five years. He's amazing! His workouts are fun and challenging - and his style is encouraging and motivating! He incorporates endurance, strength and core training and flexibility exercises to give your body a complete workout. You'll be jumping rope and squatting on one leg before you know it. I would definitely recommend On The Go Fit for anyone looking for a great personal training experience. | *** P A R T N E R - M A S S A G E - C L A S S E S ***
