<![CDATA[My name is Mike B. I started my make-up experience at the age of 16 in the Gainesville performing arts community. Six years later I am a working Professional Make-Up Artist. Graduate of the Joe Blasco Make-Up Center East here in Orlando (C/O Spring 2004). Studied the Advanced Make-Up and Prosthetics course and have extensive work with independent film, Universal Studios, various forms of live theater (i.e.: Orlando Met. Opera, Orlando Zombie Crawl, and Gainesville theaters). My background is in film and photography. Airbrush is my key form of application now, however I am still highly involved with old school methods and more traditional liquid and cream based applications. <![CDATA[Jose Rosa Born and raised in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Jose has been performing on percussion instruments since he was five years old. Inspired by family members he began learning to play bongos and by age 9 he started playing with Trio Los Orientales. At age 12, he started playing with Humacao Symphonic Band under the direction of Professor German Peña Plaza. With the Humacao Symphonic Band, Jose traveled to Venezuela, New York, Costa Rica, Virgin Islands and Dominican Republic. At age 14, he was taking percussion lessons with Professor Jose "Pepe" Torres. Under Torres coaching, Jose performed with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra for 4 years and also with a variety of local bands. At the age of 15, he performed with a jazz big band named "Taller Pueblo", which was under the direction of his cousin Mariano Rodriguez. At age 17 he was accepted into the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music where he studied percussion with Professor Jose Alicea. Under Alicea's coaching, Jose played for the America youth symphony orchestra based in San Juan, PR. At the age of 19, Jose moved to Orlando, Florida; while in Orlando, Jose played as a Percussionist for Christian recording artist Gerson Kelly and also did studio work for local bands. He later moved to Miami, where he attended the University of Miami and Florida International University, where he study percussion with Professor Steve Rucker, Professor Randy Kuehn and Professor Hector ”Pocho” Neciosup. Through the course of his life, Jose have had the opportunity to perform with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, “El Maestro” Tito Puente, Mike Orta, Gary Campbell, “Steel Pan virtuoso” Liam Teague, at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom “Tarzan Rocks” and “The Village Beatniks” shows, Marcos Barrientos, Danilo Montero, Grupo Nueva Vida, Ricardo Rodriguez, “Rico Monaco and Sol Sons”, “Michael Andrews & Swingerhead”, The Promise Keepers worship band and at Universal Studios Florida on “The Lucy and Ricky show!” at the Lucy Tribute Plaza. He also leads his own percussion group called “Los Rumberos de El Nuevo Dia” and co-leads with Hector Neciosup a fusion latinamerican Jazz band named: "Tinya". In addition, he can also be heard and seen in many radio ads and TV programs like syndicated PBS program “Jazz Then and Now” and also on the Travel channel in the program " The making of Disney's Animal Kingdom". He has also co-writtten two(2) instructional books with his long time friend Professor Hector ”Pocho” Neciosup (who is currently teaching at Florida International University). Award winning “The Book of Contemporary Conga Techniques" and “Beyond The Secret Hand” recently released by Hal Leonard Corporation. He is currently living in Orlando, FL; where He is performing and recording on a regular basis.
