My experience is as follows: 5 yrs of teaching experience with newborns to five yrs old. Doing multiple tasks and having anywhere from 1 to 13 by myself (depending on the age). 6 yrs working with special needs children of all ages. Doing multiple tasks anywhere from bathing, feeding, doing activities, etc. I believe they have a heart like any other child and should be treated the same. I have also worked some special olympics events. 15 yrs of babysitting experience with ages newborn to 14 yrs old. Having anywhere from 1 to 10 by myself. Taking care of families that live in the area or that are vacationing. CPR and First Aid Certified And a mother to my three yr old son, Noah FOR BABYSITTING: My rates are as follows:(weekday nights(depending on which ones)& weekend nights, or days around holidays. The care has to be atleast 3 hrs. minimum(4 hrs if the care is in Clermont, or Windermere, or Winter Garden.Holidays like Valentine's Day, Halloween, New Yrs Eve,etc. are $5 more an hr. added onto the rates below. $11 an hr for one child $12 an hr for two children $13 an hr for three children $14 an hr for four children and so on..... My rates are based on my experience and the research I have done through nanny/babysitting agencies. I think I am fair with my rates. Nanny agencies that I have done research on or I am apart of pay their nannies $12(starting) and up an hr.(the more kids the higher it goes) no matter how many hrs. a family needs. And some also add a $10 travel fee on top of that.Families are welcome to tip on top of that if the care is good.Your are welcome to do the same if you find my childcare is good. And on holidays most of them are atleast $20 and up an hr.So with the experience that I have I think I am being fair with my rates. Don't get me wrong I am not putting down any nanny agencies because I am apart of some good ones and they are great. I do some nanny agency jobs from time to time when I am not busy and a family may come in town and need a sitter one day/night. I babysit/nanny on a occasion when a family needs me or has a holiday party to go to or an event/special occasion(special or work related). Or just want to get out for the night.Or comes in town for a conference for a few days and needs some childcare. I have done that also. I don't work seven days a week because it takes away from my family time. And I am all about that. I just do this on occasion if I am free and a family needs me. I want to be able to help if I can.
