<![CDATA[Small Queensland Heeler Needs HomeWe are looking for a good home for one of our dogs. Her name is Suki, she is 2 years old, and she is a blue Queensland Heeler (also called Australian Cattle Dog). She is small for her breed and only 35 pounds (heelers are usually about 45-50), which makes her extra cute (see pictures). She is a very sweet dog and great with kids. She is NOT good with other dogs, however, unless she is the oldest and can be the Alpha dog. That is why we are giving her away. She and our other outside dog have been together outside since we got them as pups, so she is the alpha dog in that relationship. But, we have a third dog that is 6 years old and an inside dog, so they haven't been around each other a ton. Lately, since we've decided to try to finally house train the outside dogs, Suki has decided that she should be the alpha dog over the older dog, and she keeps picking a fight with her. Because our inside dog is older, we do not want her to have to fight for control of the alpha position (or to have two dogs fighting around our kids). NOTE: Suki has NEVER tried to bite a person and is very sweet and subservient to humans of all sizes--she just thinks she's the boss when it comes to other dogs. Like I said, if Suki is the alpha dog (like with our other outside dog, who is a huge lab but totally subservient to Suki as he was the younger puppy) or by herself, she is the sweetest dog in the world. She loves attention and loves kids. Like most heelers, she is also extremely intelligent and can easily be trained (she already sits for you). She is not spaid (so she would be able to be bred if you wanted mini-heeler puppies), but she is up to date on all of her shots (I can send paperwork with you). She also is not yet housetrained, as mentioned, but she is very smart and should be able to learn pretty quickly. She is also good on a leash and loves walks. If you are interested, please email me. <![CDATA[My son and I went to the petsmart to get kitten supplies. While we were there we saw the kittens & cats for adoption. I talked to an associate to see if we could adopt one and they told us we had to wait for a manager but he would be right there. We waited for over an hour :( We even reminded them over and over. We would of waited but I had a baby with us too and she was not going to sit in her car seat any longer. My son didn't understand why we couldn't get one and why no one was going to help us...even my hubby, who isn't to fond of cats said I could spen the 65+ dollars just to get one. What was great is that we would have been able to get one close to home but that darn manager who I watched doing nothing but getting fish for an hour from a different customer spoiled that. Please if you have a kitten or cat that could fit into our family please let us know. If you brought it here that would be even better. <![CDATA[I posted an ad earlier about help with kittens. “Ok I was on here a couple months ago and asked if anyone was able to tell where I could the stray cats (that I feed) spayed or neutered. I got SO MUCH WONDERFUL HELP!, that I am hoping for more! Before I could get one spayed she apparently got pregnant and now has 4 kittens living in my back yard. I know there is no hope or chance for the adult stray cats that are very feral. BUT I am HOPING that there is a chance for the kittens. They do need to be socialized. They are only about 4 to 5-weeks old. So my question is dose any know of a NO KILL shelter for a foster family that would be willing to do this. I work 1 full time job and 1 part time job (7-day a week) and also have 7-cats of my own (3-strays that I rescued from the nationhood) I just have no time to do this. If you know of someone please let me know. I can even help pay for food and litter if this is an issue. Please only answer me if you have fostered before and know what you are getting into. He is great with them, they can lay in him pull his tail and he has NEVER growled or been aggressive towards them in any way. We also have cats and he ignores them. He is house trained, never had any accidents with him, He can go to bed when we do and will be fine until we wake up and let him out. He is a good watch dog for the fact that he is soo big and will bark.....who isn't afraid of big barking dog?! He won't bark if he is n the house and hears other dogs barking. Many of our kittens are getting close to "making weight" so that they can get spayed/neutered and at that point they will be ready to go home! The adoption fee of 100 goes directly to Maricopa County Animal Control, or if you decide to get two kittens from us, we have received authorization to do a fee of 120. This includes the spay/neuter, their first set of shots, and a feline leukemia test. All of our kittens are wonderful little spirits who deserve a second chance, some of them came very close to never making it out of the shelter. We show the animals from our home so that they do not have to spend another day in the shelter and to complete the paperwork we go to MCAC (adoption survey etc). If you are considering bringing a companion into your life, consider a shelter animal. They will love you with their entire little kitty hearts if you give them their forever home. We adopted him from the pound about a year ago and he is an amazing dog, but doesn't seem to be good around small children, as most smaller dogs are not. I think he would do great with a family that has older children or an older couple looking for a great companion. We are really sad to have to give him away, but I am having a baby in August and I don't want to have to keep Stitch outside the rest of his life because of the baby. He is a sweet dog, very mild mannered. He absolutely love car rides. He loves to sit on your lap and play fetch. He is kennel trained and house broken. He'll even "talk and chatter" to you when he wants some attention. This dog listens very well and can understand "go to bed" (get into his kennel), "go potty", "go outside", "go for a walk" and "no".
