<![CDATA[I am in the process of putting together a team to play at the new X Flag Football location on Saturday mornings at Mater Dei High School in Chula Vista. Games will be between 9:00AM and 2:00PM every Saturday starting the first week of June. The cost per team is $810 for the season (Includes all ref fees) so I am hoping to get 8-10 people on the team to get the costs down to $80-100/person. There will be additional fee for a jersey/shirt (probably around $20). The season is 10 games and there are playoffs at the end of the season for the top teams in the league. Check out www.xflagfootball.com for more info on the league. I have played 5 seasons of flag football in Poway and at Balboa Stadium and have made the playoffs in 4 of those 5 seasons. However, I still have not been able to win a championship. My goal and hopefully yours too, is to put together a team that has good chemistry and physical ability, that will be able to take home that championship at the end of the season. I'm looking for 8-9 guys that are going to show up to games every week, play their hardest, respect each other, and like to win. Once I have a enough guys together we can get together for a few practices and work out the details. We don't necessarily need the most gifted athletes to be a good team, just guys willing to put in that extra effort. ]]>

<![CDATA[I am trying to put a small group together to go hiking in Yosemite/Sequoia National Park. Dates - Memorial day weekend (May 24 - 26) Tentative plan: leave San Diego on 23rd evening. Get to the National park the next morning and do a lot hiking for the next 2-2.5 days. Try and get back to SD by 26th evening. Stay/Camping: I am not sure about camping and reserving camp sites (it might be too late). But I am open to camping and suggestions. Right now I have about 10-15 on the list and would like to get some more as not everyone is able to make all games. Ages 16+ please, guys or gals, all skill levels. The majority of us so far are college students with skill levels ranging from extreme novice to an advanced level. On average I'd say we have an intermediate group so far. But these will be friendly pick-up and play, recreational, social games so ALL levels are welcome. We will likely be playing off of S. Twin Oaks Valley Road where there is access to a private field, full size goals, and smaller soccer goals as well. A set location is open thus far. Cleats are preferred but optional, same with shin-guards, all your preference. (NO, this is NOT ultimate frisbee. It's SPLENDID FRISBEE!) We run anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, passing one or more frisbees. It's a blast. All runners are accommodated: slow runners, fast runners, people who've never thrown a frisbee. We brake for babies, for exhausted players, and for wildlife.
