Having been through this horrendous experience, I have gained an absolutely incredible amount of knowledge in the process that I would like to share with others. Support for each other is really important during this trying time in your life. I actually could NOT find any SUPPORTIVE HELP when I was going through this by myself, & know how much pain, desperation, frustration, & anger a homeowner really feels, so I thought I would start a group so that we can all help each other get through this, & come out with a positive solution, heal, share resources, stories, support, etc. Foreclosures are increasing, & the NEED is here NOW. Also, if anyone has any great ideas on how to assist with added income to HELP KICKSTART a new life, that would be appreciated as well. Would love to hear from you, if you're interested please leave your contact info via email, or on my cell phone: (619) 634-8664 I feel this a WAY OVERDUE, perhaps together we can find the strength to make it through this horrible ordeal, & come out stronger, not be a victim in the end. Further Information:
This group is about being related to where you really live. It’s a process of coming into the present moment with the other participants from a place of authentic emotional truth, and in relation to what matters most to you.

There is generally a disconnect between what really matters to people in their depths and what they are conscious of in their daily lives. And there is generally a disconnect between the depths of what really matters between people and the actual communications between them, leaving them feeling less than deeply satisfied or fully gotten.

And maybe there are things you are wanting to bring into your life, or aspects of your life that you're not fully manifesting, and which you may have relegated to not really possible (or have made deeply unconscious). This most likely has to do with the dynamics of how you are relating to yourself and to other people.

Because there will be a direct correlation between how you and others in the group relate to each other, and how you relate in your larger social context, the group represents a microcosm of your world, brought into consciousness where it can be transformed. This territory will be explored in a dynamic, interactive and deep way, bringing core unconscious material out into the safe and focused group experience, leading to greater connection and empowerment, facilitating your dreams and desires in emerging into the reality of your life.

About Jane:
Jane Ilene Cohen is an Intuitive and Transformational Counselor. She is an NLP & TimeLine Therapy Master Practitioner, and comes from a spiritual foundation that includes A Course in Miracles and the Abraham-Hicks work, among other influences. She has a private practice in Encinitas, CA, where she works with couples and individuals, and facilitates groups.

Services Jane Offers:

TimeLine Therapy Sessions:
TimeLine Therapy is a powerful process that accesses and releases pivotal limiting decisions that hold in place dysfunctional patterns in your relationships, self-esteem, career, financial situation and other areas of your life that aren't working. A significant limiting decision is usually cleared in each session. TimeLine Therapy is a Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) process, set up in a very particular way according to how the brain works. (NLP is the study of the language of the brain; how we form our subjective experience and how that can be changed.) Jane’s penetrating intuitive and empathic skills, combined with this powerful process, facilitate profound life changes. Length of session is flexible, 1 to 2 hours, depending on what’s needed. (Typically 1-1/2 to 2 hours)

Sessions for Couples:
The purpose of these sessions is to:
- Bring into objective focus what isn’t working in the relationship from both of your points-of-view
- Help each of you understand your partner’s experience
- Facilitate communication
- Bring to the surface the limiting decisions holding what is dysfunctional between you in place.
(Length of session is 1 to 1-1/2 hours. )

Jane then usually schedules individual TimeLine Therapy sessions to clear the specific limiting decisions.

Your child is your teacher and your mirror. He or she is showing you exactly what you need to look for within yourself. When you embrace and welcome this mirror, you begin to heal yourself and relate to your child in present time - but if you resist, you often get stuck in judgment, guilt, and frustration. In this lecture you will learn how to communicate with your child's higher self, see what their spirit needs and learn how to support them to become fully who they really are.

My teacher training was completed at Prana Yoga College in Vancouver my teacher Shakti Mhi taught with a strong focus on safety, proper alignment, breath control and the intuitive flow of the asanas, shakti taught me how to create and retain prana (sanskrit, for life-force) while stilling the mind into a meditative enjoyment of the present moment.

What’s so special about this class ? It is infused with a blend of Celtic and Indian sounds, specially selected to inspire and awaken your consciousness. Students are encouraged to listen with heart rather than mind. Our heart embraces the consciousness of the music and we can start to flow.

The basics to finding a home church:

1. Their statement of faith should be clearly consistent with the essentials of historical Christian doctrine. Please click to review what is considered essential beliefs for Christian Churches:

http://www.equip.org/site/c.muI1LaMNJrE/b.2548387/k.98C0/The_Essentials.htm

Once at the equip.org website, you can research individual denominations or questionable sects or religious groups.

2. Go to a church where you can get involved with other Christians for encouragement and personal growth in our common faith.

3. Pray and ask our Lord to make it clear where He would have you worship and utilize your gifts.

4. Persevere! Do not allow previous experiences or discouragement to sway you against getting involved in your local church.

5. Actively examine and test what is being taught to be sure preaching and teaching is consistent with the essentials of historical Christian doctrine. Paul writes:

" Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it." 1THESSALONIANS 5:16-24 ( ESV Bible, emphasis added)

| Our Goals

He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, buth whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Proverbs 14:31

Our Goals

1. To offer affordable housing where people experience a therapeutic environment that allows them to work on areas of personal growth and maintain a clean and sober lifestyle.

In order for this goal to be accomplished we need funding to rent and/or buy, as well as completely furnish homes in decent neighborhoods. Management would strive to meet or exceed the standards of the neighborhood as far as cleanliness, appearance, and appropriate behaviors are concerned.

There needs to be trained and competent staff to help with managing these homes. The expectation is that those in leadership roles would receive a stipend for their service.

Professional services would be offered by licensed therapists and ordained ministers to ensure the highest quality of care for those we serve. It is possible that interns under supervision by licensed professionals would participate in offering clinical services. Moreover, mature Christian believers will continue to teach the Bible, help to manage recovery programs, and implement structure for community living.

2. To provide Christian based Bible studies at the home for those not willing or unable to be involved in their local church.

We have a need for Christian based materials that are consistent with the essentials of the Christian faith.

Worship music is needed to equip the leadership to effectively create an atmosphere of worship.

We are currently offering Christian based recovery meetings twice a week and daily prayer and Bible study/devotions.

3. To continue developing a professional network of care providers and resources to meet the needs of those we serve.

4. To make local churches aware of Compassionate Ministries—Professional Payee Services, Inc. to ensure open communication, mutual encouragement, and networking among the members of the body of Christ.

5. To develop a professional relationship with our donors that is transparent and ongoing for years to come.

Compassion Ministries—Professional Payee Services, Inc. is accountable to the Social Security Administration in regards to every person we serve as a representative payee. Moreover, we will strive to implement the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) Standards and Best Practices for our non-profit organization: http://www.ecfamembers.org/PDF/BestPractices.pdf

To ensure trust and avoid even the perception of impropriety, at the request of anyone in the public we are willing to discuss our budget and financial responsibilities.

We need donors that will commit to a monthly pledge to help with operating expenses. Planned giving and estate donations will ensure long-term support of Compassionate Ministries-PPS and its programs.

There are professional tax persons on our Board of Directors who are willing to volunteer their time to ensure our books are balanced.
How does talk therapy work?

There is a writer's saying: "How can I know what I think until I see what I say?" This can be called the "shaping at the point of utterance."

The same principle applies to life in general and to therapy, in particular. Discussing one's thoughts, feelings, conflicts, and problems with another person is usually a great help, especially is that person is professionally trained, caring, smart, sensitive, and objective. In talking with a therapist who is a neutral presence, a person can explore his/her difficulties and concerns in a safe, healing environment. In fact, airing your thinking aloud with a professional, detached, focused, and yet, compassionate second ear helps you to get clearer about your emotions, rethink chronic problems and anxieties, and live in a more aware state. The next time you find yourself (choose one of the following, or substitute your own problem here) depressed, anxious, creatively blocked, in conflict with your mate, struggling with your interpersonal relations, or engaging in an unhealthy behavior like reaching for a drink, or some fattening food, you may be better able to understand why you are driven to do so, and make conscious some connections that were previously unconscious. What just happened to trigger the feeling or the injurious behavior? Why did it occur then? Does it always have to happen like that? What can you do to prevent it from repeating itself again and again?

Self awareness and understanding are necessary first steps to turning such uncomfortable, unproductive, and harmful behaviors around. Real change can only follow from increased self-understanding. And it is such real changes that finally allow you to free yourself from chronic problems and live your life with greater pleasure and freedom.

When I moved back to San Diego in 2007, I immediately sought out a fitness class--gyms just don't do it for me--that would challenge me and get me fit for my September wedding. I started in June just days after settling in, so I only had three months to make my fitness goals happen. After going to Bryan's classes all summer, I lost a total of 24 pounds and countless inches. My wedding was months ago, and I am still hooked! I love working out outdoors and even though I attend 5 times per week, I am NEVER BORED. Bryan's classes are always challenging--I'm still getting results--and fun, which is what keeps me, and lots of his clients, coming back for more. Here are directions:

From Interstate 805 NORTH take the Nobel Drive Exit and go left on to Nobel Drive. Turn right on Judicial Drive at the first light. The Recreation Center and Library on left.
If you know anyone who also is lucky enough to have a Maltese in their lives who would like to join the meeting, please let them know about the Meetup! :)

| I have been seeing a lot of MeetUp and MeetIn groups spring up lately. Some will stay, others will fade away, but they all (I believe) have good intentions. If you are looking to meet people without having to go to bars or by using Internet Dating, these can be a great way to get out and meet people.

The downside is that ANYONE can join these freebie groups online. Even these Sports Groups will accept anyone who pays them. The person that you are going on a hike with could be a rapist, pedifile or felon for all you know. These groups would be a great way for these predators to meet people as well.

FunQuest Adventures to my knowledge, is the ONLY social group in San Diego that runs criminal background checks on ALL of their members. This means that you can be sure that when you bring your child to a picnic that no one has been convicted of any perverse or violent crime. Rest assured that our members are thoroughly screened and we do a criminal background check to be sure that our members are safe.

Yes, these MeetIn and MeetUp groups are free, and yes you can meet at public locations to hand out and have a drink, but we tend to attract people who want to more than just go to Happy Hours.

Our trips are comprehensive and we work group discounts. Our Whitewater Rafting trip in a few weeks has 27 people going and they just made a couple of clicks and paid through our web site usingtheir credit card. No "book your own room and trip and meet us there" with our trips. We also send a PROFESSIONAL event leader to introduce you at every event and to make sure you are having a good time. Many of these groups are started by people looking to meet that special someone and seem to hit on the ones they are interested so they date them or leave. Free is good, if the quality of the product or service is the same, but when you compare these apples to oranges, FunQuest stands out as the leader in Adventure Clubs for San Diego.

Meet other local people who are interested in the topic of Transformational Awareness. Gather to discover the best ways for seeking healthier relationships with others, ourselves and the universe. If you are willing to experience more joy and abundance in your life - then you have come to the right place. Allow the members of this community to be your mirrors. Who am I? Why am I here? What is The Secret? How can I manifest my heart's desire? Is it possible to combine The Law of Attraction and Tantric Sex Magic to manifest my dreams? Will Compassionate Communication Transform my relationships? Does The Artist's Way hold the key to becoming a more fully realized, creative and abundant being? Everyone has their own life journey. It is unrealistic to expect everyone to follow the exact same path to spiritual enlightenment, or that one simple technique works exactly the same to awaken everyone's individual dormant potential. The answers remain hidden in the depth of our own being. But if we open our hearts we can do allot to support one another and learn from each other along the way. Together, let us explore, experience, reflect, reconnect, co-create, contemplate and find it.

Journey to Sexual Wholeness. The Six Gateways to Tantric Sexuality
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 7:00PM

I am very pleased to announce that our guest presenter will be Kypris Aster Drake. Kypris holds a master's degree in Biology, as well as a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and is an initiated HeartWisdom Tantric Priestess. Kypris and her partner Steven Jay have a local tantric practice teaching Shamanic Tantra. They offer private services, teach classes and Intensives.

Kypris is the author of a brand new book on Tantra just released this month; "Journey to Sexual Wholeness, The Six Gateways to Tantric Sexuality ". Come hear her talk about the six gateways and get an autographed copy of the book all for only $24.95!

Below is a a sample of what Kypris has to say about Shamanic Tantra and the Six Gateways:

What Is Shamanic Tantra?
"Like traditional tantra, shamanic tantra is a path to enlightenment through the body, a spiritual practice that teaches us to be in the now and to open ourselves up to more bliss, joy, and connection to spirit by connecting our sexuality and our spirituality. Drawing from Wiccan, Druidic, and Shamanic roots, Shamanic tantra differs from traditional tantra in working extremely intuitively and in its strong connection to the earth. I have created the six gateways to sacred sexuality as an attempt to structure the work of shamanic tantra for teaching, but by its nature, shamanic tantra is fluid and guided through each person?s connection to the divine, and their sense of what is right for them."

What are the Six Gateways to Sacred Sexuality?
"The journey to enlightenment can take many roads. The six gateways are a path that happens to be working for myself (Kypris) and my healing partner, Steven Jay. Together we have intuitively created this road map for discovering the bliss that is created when we connect spirituality to sexuality. This is a practice that can be used alone or with a partner. These steps are not necessarily practiced in order. In fact, they seem to interweave and spiral with each other, spirals being a geometric pattern often used to describe earth-centered spirituality, where linear motion from point a to point b is rare."

Meeting fee: $24.95

| I sang college a cappella, and a few years after that in an alumni group in the bay area. We had an awesome time busting harmony and being friends - wondering if there are any amateur groups in San Diego area looking for a baritone/tenor with a sense of humor? Vocal percussion anyone? Reply if you are out there... | So, I was thinking. I'm 33 and most of my friends that I moved here with have moved back to the East Coast or have gotten married. I thought it might be fun to meet some new friends by having a book club. I'm kind of over meeting people in bars, especially since every girl I meet as a potential friend turns out to be a major druggie or slut LOL. So if anyone is interested in starting/ joining a book club with me, let me know. We could switch whose house we have it at, or maybe have it at area cofee shops or over dinner. You know, just something different to do that might end up being really fun. Email me if you are interested and maybe we can get things going? P.S. I have a boyfriend and I am not looking for anything other than some cool new friends!!! | Welcome to ItsJustJava!
