Lancy Burn wants to create a documentary on gill net fishing, a commercial fishing technique that has all but died out. Lancy and his wife Emily were gill net fisherman for years and supplied seafood markets in Hilton Head and Savannah. Their knowledge of the history of fishing in this region is extensive. I am their neighbor of 9 years and my wife and I were out shrimping with Lancy and his wife Emily yesterday when Lancy first expressed his interest in making this documentary. Needless to say, I want to be a part of making this a reality for my friend.
