<![CDATA[I play guitar (and act as sometime manager, I guess) with a Country/Rock Band that plays regionally (GA/FL/AL/SC etc) and we have an opening for a bass player. The songwriter/vocalist/guitar player is well known regionally. He is a seriously talented songwriter, vocalist, and guitar player. He's done the Nashville thing and does not have stars in his eyes and he’s not looking for guys that think he’s their ticket to the big time. He is looking for mature, serious players that like to make good music and make some money doing it. What we want is a rock solid "pocket" bass player who can play country with a rock sort of feel and edginess. We do a mix of originals & covers, play larger venues, festivals, opening act for name bands... in short... good paying, professional gigs... not $50-per-man-and-all-the-beer-you-can-drink BS. This is PRO work and we're looking for a pro. We’re not looking for a casual thing or a fill-in. We need a serious, committed bass player without substance abuse or drama issues. If you were interested, and it worked out, you would need to be able to commit to Saturday rehearsals (every Saturday) at our space until we are ready to start booking gigs again. Once we get through rehearsals, expect 2, maybe 3 shows per week every week, anywhere in a 200 to 300 mile radius from Savannah, which was what the bands’ schedule has typically been. We generally rehearse in a cotton warehouse about 60 miles NW of downtown Savannah. This tends to be an issue (because of the distance) so I want to get it out there right away.
