This position reports directly to the Corporate Safety Manager, the primary job responsibility will be safety program compliance with OSHA, General Contractors and Customer safety requirements. Focus will be on the implementation of programs which identify and reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards. Provides direction to front line field employees and upper management for establishing and sustaining the safety culture of Baker Roofing Company. Aids operations management in achieving safety goals and objectives as well as regulatory compliance. As appropriate, interacts with external agencies as the department deems necessary.

Duties
<br>
<br>
Assists with Workers Compensation issues
<br>
a.)Ensures treatment for injured workers
<br>
b.)Ensures drug testing complete for employees involved in incidents
<br>
c.)Ensures all paperwork is complete
<br>
<br>
Coordinate with Human Resources in support of company policies including new employee orientation.
<br>
a.)Conduct new hire initial drug screening
<br>
b.)Conduct new hire orientation
<br>
c.)Visually inspect documents and complete paperwork as needed
<br>
<br>
Coordinate with Departmental Management to accomplish training goals set forth by Safety Management and customer needs.
<br>
a.)Conduct Skytrack training
<br>
b.)Conduct Manlift training
<br>
c.)Conduct 1st Aid/CPR training
<br>
d.)Conduct Rigger/Signal Person training
<br>
e.)Conduct NRCA CERTA training
<br>
f.)Conduct Monthly Safety Meetings

g.)Conduct other miscellaneous training as needed

Generates and instructs employees on Site Specific Safety Manuals and its purpose

Requirements
<br>

1.Intermediate knowledge of OSHA safety and recordkeeping regulations

2.Basic knowledge of workers compensation process and procedures

3.Intermediate computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook

4.Intermediate written and verbal skills

5.Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
