People who are classified as overweight get treated as subhumans and the government basically is having a overweight holocaust. SYNOPSIS John, a health foods storeowner, lives a double life as the largest unhealthy foods provider in O.B. City; known to his patrons only as “The Candy Man”. In the recent events, D.A. Thompson, declared fast food and candy illegal contraband. Along with the bill he declared it illegal for chunkies, people over a certain Body Mass Index (B.M.I), from eating a buffet restaurants. Chunkies also must walk from place to place in an effort to promote exercise. These sorts of laws have made the Candy Man a city hero among the people. But due to an associate’s vicious uprising at a buffet, the Candy Man gets blamed. The people begin to hate the chunkies and the city plunges deeper into this war on weight yet. But is the city’s hope for food freedom or is there a chance for the people to find the strength to fight back? He believes in treating everyone equal and sees the new laws as an infringement on those beliefs. Selling candy to people is a way for him to get satisfaction through the happiness of others, like community service. He likes feeling appreciated by the community. He knows he is the pillar that all the chunkies lean on and is afraid that if he is gone no one will be able to save them from the D.A. Adam: Overweight male, around 40-50 years old. He kind of reminds you of a mob boss. He has a smile that looks devious, yet if you know he’s on your side you feel safe. He’s proud of his size and not afraid to flaunt it. He hates the healthy citizens and wishes to make them feel the same suffering as they have shown the chunkies recently. Store Manager: Female who is in shape. She has a beautiful body but an ugly soul. Completely prejudice about looks. She thinks that chunkies are the scum of the earth and wants nothing to do with them. She probably could care less if they wound up dead. She’s almost a female version of the D.A Overweight Male/Female: Around 30-40 years old. This person just found out that their child is hurt and is rushing over to help them. Because of this he broke into his car, which he shouldn't be driving because of the new laws. Naturally, we may not fill all of these, but we can double up (I've made films under some seriously rough conditions). I'm looking to form a film group (and to have FUN!), so there's no compensation, but if you have a passion for any of these areas and you're not fullfilling it at this time (SCAD grads, SCAD prospects, or just a person who's into it), then I know this is for you.
