They are not violating the CL rules and just because you think that the price is too high others out there may not. There are MANY kittens on here in need of homes that are much cheaper so go and adopt one of them. You have no right to determine the fee that these people get to set just because you can not afford or do not want to pay that for a kitten. Read the CL rules before you go and get flag happy and stop being such a control freak. In all honesty unless you plan on adopting the cat it is none of your business and there are many other cheap and free kittens on here.. I am just so sick of people telling others what to do no one on here is god so leave people alone and let them re-home their pets!!!]]>

She is an indoor only cat and when I was watching a friends kitten she got pregnant, didn't know boy kittens could create babys at such a young age. The boy is a medium hair black cat, a real sweetie. They are 8 weeks old and ready to go to their new homes today! They are litter box trained eating solid kitten food and have been dewormed. <![CDATA[whats funniest about this is the people not paying attention to the complaintees. they aren't upset the cat was taken away.. the people said the cat was theirs.. obviously taking ownership to it. if the officer kept to his rules and laws he would have fined the people, not taken the cat away anyhow. sounds to me like someone on a power trip.. and thats just so annoying. i think the people being mean on here about "strays" are pretty stupid really. licensing your animals? you speak like they are kids then talk about licensing them... do you license your kids too? lol.. just wondering. I have 2 cats that come in and out. one is mainly out due to her older age and potty habbits.. she likes pillows.. so should i just not use them in my home and keep her in? also cats are outside creatures, they love it, i think keeping your cat inside only is abuse. have you ever seen a cat inside vs. outside? they are much happier creatures when they can roam stalk prey and run around in fresh air. i would never make my cats stay inside, nor would i ever lisence them because i find it as a pointless cost.. county rules are rediculous... our pets are ours.. nobody elses business unless you have some rabid dog running loose biting/killing people. if you live on or by a busy road.. no your pets shouldnt be outside, but by all means you probably shouldnt have them anyways around there.. just stupid.. people are mean and hateful on this site and its highly annoying. go follow your stupid rules and bash on people that are sad. 100$ is a heck of alot of money anymore if you havnt noticed, i probably would be torn on picking up my cat too.. and its not even that cheap anymore.. like what 80-90$ to pick up the cat, plus the cost for lisencing.. i mean after all the stupid things they slap on there your paying close to 150.00$ for something that is already yours. purely donation my butt.. that shelter is a horrible place.. less animals would be put down if they would lower their costs.. or not charge at all.. other shelters survive juuuust fine on donations alone and actually do the nice thing of being "no kill shelters". sorry for rambling but all this crap urks the hell out of me]]>

<![CDATA[I keep seeing posts with small dogs taken in because they were "on Death Row." Come on, would you quit it? Small dogs are the first ones adopted out of shelters. What several rescues are doing, and they're making it obvious, is adopting small, easy-to-place dogs from shelters that charge a very low fee, often in Eastern WA. Then they offer the dog up for a higher price to fund their rescue. It's reselling. If you quit lying, I might adopt from you. Otherwise I'll just try to beat you to the shelter, where small dogs are hard to find because of folks like you. Ew ew ew.]]>

Why the owner didn't simply call us, so we could get information on these sweet girls and get their mother dog spayed, we don't know! These pretty girls with white chests and speckled white feet appear to have been born in mid-March. Their coats are shiny and healthy, and although they were frightened to have been dumped off at the shelter without food or water, they are perking up quickly now that they have been found and placed into a loving foster home. They are "hodgepodge pups" - possibly a mix of lab and border collie, based on coloring and general size. We are guessing they will be medium-sized dogs, possibly in the 50-60 pound range when full grown. These pups are playful and very sweet; they should all grow up to be lovely family dogs, and would appreciate a home where they can receive lots of exercise and play time. Spay and all age-appropriate shots are ALWAYS completed before placement (NO EXCEPTIONS), and are included in the adoption donation (suggested minimum $70; more gratefully accepted!) Adopters of young puppies will usually need to provide one or two additional booster puppy vaccinations after adoption, plus rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age.]]>

<![CDATA[After a very long, emotional thought process, I am needing to rehome my beloved pet, Malaki. He is a bullmastiff/pitbull/black lab mix, and has an amazing spirit. He weighs roughly around 70 pounds, is 1 year and five months old (but still a puppy at heart!!!), loves to play, and gets along GREAT with ALL (yes, including cats) other animals/people/children. I am needing to rehome him due to moving, and it is something I have tried very hard not to do. But, he deserves better than what I can continue to give him so I am looking for a great home that would love to add a great addition to their family. He comes with food-LOTS of treats and bones, dog dishes, leashes, toys and like I said before, a wonderful spirit. Caramel is the name my daughter gave this one, which might make you think it's a female, but he's not. Caramel is an eight week old male and is a twin of Sandy which is also posted here on CL. I can't tell the diff between the two so I used the same photo. <![CDATA[ Here is Kobe's story: Our rescue organization got a frantic call a few weeks ago from a nice young man. He said he'd been working on the reservation in Yakima valley and noticed a dog tied up near a house. He said this dog had no food or water the ENTIRE TIME he worked there. He called law enforcement who threatened the owner, but the owner did not respond. Our young man on the phone knew the miserable owner would never take care of the dog, no matter how many threats. He told us, "I'm going back there and I'm going to TAKE that dog!! And if they don't give him to me, I'll BUY him from them!!" Of course the owner surrendered the dog, and now he sits at our rescue organization, recovering from his trauma. So here he is. KOBE! He's a very tall dog, and at the moment extremely underweight. This dog should weigh at least 80 pound according to our vet. As you can see by the photos, he is still VERY MALNOURISHED. But under our care, he is flourishing. We believe this gentle giant might be part Great Dane, due to his head shape and his height, but he may also be part Labrador. Whatever he is, he's just beautiful, with a very dark brindle coloration. We had to save this awesome dog because in spite of his awful experience, he is STILL a smart, trusting, and well mannered dog. He just needs someone to give him the life he deserves -- walks, pets, hugs, food, and shelter. What he will give you back will be immeasurable. $200 will help cover Kobe's above average bills to help him recover from his hellish existence prior to coming here. This little cutey-patooty is mostly Dachshund for sure, and he is a little monkey. His is friendly, happy, and very young. Our vet thinks he is only about 6 or 7 months old. Clifford was recently neutered and vaccinated fully, and is ready for his forever home now. He gets along fine with all the other rescue dogs, and loves everyone that comes to visit. <![CDATA[ Stevie, a shepherd mix is approximately 8 years old according to our vet. But please don't let that stop you from loving him. This fellow still has a lot of spunk and life left in him, and he really needs a second chance. Stevie knows the best is yet to come! Stevie had a truly miserable life. This gentle creature has ALWAYS been an outdoor dog, and because of this, he is one of the few dogs we'd allow to go to an outdoor type living situation as long as the yard is securely fenced and he has access to a home should he wish to go inside. Here's is Stevie's sad tale of woe: His former owner's living situation changed drastically and he had been evicted from his home. Stevie was uprooted from his fenced yard, and outdoor kennel run, and made to live tethered in a dirt field the past few years. Because of this, when our rescue organization got him, he had an ulcerated spot on his neck from his old stiff nylon collar. His fur had worn away where his collar was. He was a an awful mess of dirt and grime. We cleaned him up and couldn't believe how GOOD LOOKING he is! In spite of his brutal life, he has totally retained his love of humans. Can you believe it? We all think Stevie has tremendous good spirit. He is happily residing at our rescue farm, and is waiting for his forever family. You just have to look into his trusting eyes, and you can see straight into his soul. Stevie is a very sweet and trusting dog, and everyone at the farm loves him. He was very interested but not insane over the cat he saw, but we're not going to guarantee he won't chase them, so maybe no kitties. Stevie was never altered, but this will be taken care of prior to his adoption. He appears to be part Pembroke Welsh Corgi (maybe) and part shepherd. He's smallish at around 35-40lbs. A perfect size dog! There is a $100 adoption donation for Stevie to cover neuter and vaccines plus microchip. He will also come with one month of pet insurance. <![CDATA[Meet Gizmo. This handsome devil is a purebred American Cocker Spaniel, and is a healthy 28lbs. Can you believe this gorgeous dog was sitting at a high kill shelter? We had to save him. Gizmo is neutered and about 2 years old according to our vet. Our guy Gizmo is a happy-go-lucky dog, and he gets along great with the other animals at our rescue -- kitties included! I guess it would be kind of like a part time ownership. We would get our own dog but that would be very irresponsible of us since I am pregnant and am due at the end of July.
