MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
<br>
The Systems Administrator will directly supervise four staff positions:
<br>
* Network Administrator
<br>
* Desktop Support Technicians (3)
<br>
<br>
Supervises staff; evaluates, and oversees workflow and performance. Creates and maintains benchmarks for setting staff goals; reports productivity to Director of Finance & Administration.
<br>
Encourage productivity of IS staff by maintaining “team-environment” and “can do” attitude
<br>
<br>
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION - PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
<br>
Maintain and provide support for all YWCA Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
<br>
Configure and maintain virtual private networks (VPN) between main and remote sites
<br>
Plan, coordinate, monitor, and implement network security measures as needed
<br>
Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations
<br>
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot MS SQL and Access Databases
<br>
Maintain and troubleshoot elevator and security camera applications on Windows computers
<br>
Setup, configure, and image desktop computers for YWCA staff and clients
<br>
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems
<br>
Coordinate with hardware and software vendors on pricing and order status for purchases
<br>
Review and approve payments for hardware, software and service invoices
<br>
Orient staff and clients in the proper use of computer and telephone equipment
<br>
Develop and maintain documentation for hardware and software procedures
<br>
Other duties include, but are not limited to, performing server backups, maintenance of user & e-mail accounts, and providing general server maintenance and upgrades
<br>
Assist in maintaining various agency telephone (PBX) and voice-mail systems
<br>
Work with HR, Payroll, and Accounting Managers to maintain and support accounting software
<br>
Work with Donor Services Manager to maintain and support development software
<br>
<br>
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in planning for computer and phone systems needs for new YWCA sites
<br>
Represents agency in committee settings as needed
<br>
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
<br>
BA/AA Computer Science or Network Administration plus 4-5 years System Administration Experience or equivalent required
<br>
At least 2 years supervisory experience desired; demonstrated ability to select, train, motivate and inspire staff while holding them accountable for their performance. Ability to work effectively as a team leader as well as indepedently.
<br>
Successful experience supporting 250+ end users on PC software and hardware issues
<br>
Expert knowledge of Windows 2000/XP operating systems and protocols required
<br>
Experience setting up and administering small (3-10PC) networks required
<br>
Knowledge of installing and configuring print servers, routers, WAP’s, VPN’s
<br>
System administration experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server
<br>
Experience troubleshooting MS Exchange, SQL, and Active Directory required
<br>
Knowledge installing and configuring various brands of print servers
<br>
Proficiency with various versions of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel required
<br>
Knowledge of DSL, Cable, T1, 802.11x, and other Wireless technologies a plus
<br>
Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical users
<br>
Experience installing & terminating CAT5 cable for voice and data
<br>
Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and maintain composure under pressure.

Strong customer-service attitude is a must
<br>
Knowledge of various phone (PBX) and voicemail systems a plus
