<![CDATA["This weekend, Adopt-An-ANGEL volunteers showed up to the Petco parking lot to set up our normal weekend adoption fairs and found that our VAN WAS STOLEN! This van was graciously donated to the group by the Neeley Family last year and is a 1986 Chevy Van, blue, standard, LICENSE PLATE # is WSA5791. The van has been parked in the Petco parking lot for the last year with permission from the store. We have contacted all towing companies and they do not have it and no one asked for it to be towed. The van needed to be jumped in order to start and was locked. We were using it to store all our dog crates, cat cages and EVERYTHING you would need to do an adoption fair (a mobile animal shelter). It held everything we had accumulated over the last 5 years---which included: 12 cat cages 12 dog crates 2 puppy play pens AAA signs valued at $500 litter pans, cat and dog food bowls cat and dog toys blankets, towels and linens leashes and collars 2 tables, 4 fold up chairs all our adoption folders, paperwork, applications, contracts, brochures and other misc items A police report has been filed. But that didn't stop our Adopt-An-ANGEL volunteers! We held our adoption fair anyway. Petco graciously pulled down display cages and we bought water bowls and went on with the show---with it back to the basics. Today, amidst the chaos 3 puppies and 2 adult cats found homes. Please be on the look out for our van! And, if you could get the word out that if it is not found soon, we will need to begin rebuilding and we ask that you PLEASE help us! All of these items have been gradually accumulated over the last 5 years and now they will need to be bought all at once! After the day was over, we looked down our sidewalk which is usually littered with animals and cages that stretch and spread the entire store front it really hit us what a loss this is for us and for our homeless animals.
