This is very important, there is too much spam on here so you need to provide some sort of local reference so we know you do in fact live in the area. Its not like we want your street address. Hell, reference something across town. Just say something about anything local. Examples include: "Carolina Beach", "UNCW", "McRae Park", "Scott's Hill", "Masonboro" etc. etc. etc. things you wouldn't know without living here. You should also ALWAYS fill in the location area of the headline, and do NOT capitalize like this: (wilmington, NC) This is obviously generated spam that copies CL's title text. 3. Personality: tell us something about yourself. Where do you work/go to school? Where are you from? What are your hobbies? pets? family? education? etc.. you get the point. Don't write a book just tell us something. We really are interested. 4. What are you looking for out of this? Just be honest here, please? If you are one of those girls that's dying to get married, you know it. Just tell us. If you're looking for a one night stand, that's cool too. It's ok to be promiscuous as long as you're safe. It's not ok to lie about it. DoNOT put this type of crap in your ad: 1. Don't bitch about ex-boyfriends/husbands. We don't care, and we prefer not to know anything about the last guy you were banging. 2. Don't say stupid things like "Where are the good men" or "Are there any good men left" or "Heartbroken and lonely" as these things make you look desperate. Don't demand a picture for a response unless you're going to post a picture with your ad. On the second email I see no problem with this, but you should not demand it on the first. We don't know who you are, you don't know who we are. Let's at least establish whether or not we are both real people before any pictures are exchanged. If you're brave enough to post one with your ad, that's a different story. Then you could make this demand. 4. On the subject of pictures, don't post a cute little kitty or some tropical sunset just so you get our attention with the CL "pic" tag. This concludes my list.
